As I was buying my sausages. soft pretzels, and potato salad, the lady said very little to me and the gentleman, nothing at all. When I tried speaking German, the lady said she didn't remember much of the language anymore. This blunt, "tell it like it is" way of interacting is pretty much how my family used to be, so I found it familiar -- even comforting. But it's easy to see how this can rub people the wrong way, especially if they're used to American (or even modern German) - style customer service. Everyone who found this rude is making reasonable statements. But to me this is more a case of people who have been doing the same thing for a long time without making updates. Decor-wise, place also seems to recreating the Germany that someone remembers from decades ago. The blue and white bunting, the beer steins, the picture of the Pope and other memorabilia make the place feel distinctly Bavarian, in a touristy way. A lot of places in Germany, even in the more traditional south have moved on. But my hope is that this place does continue until the proprietors retire with dignity or sell the business to some German-Americans with a passion for prepping and selling this type of food.

I'm not sure if this is her normal behavior but if you wanted to be treated nicely when going to a place you don't know... this isn't for you. My first time here and service is disappointing & all she did was take my order. But if you wanna try the food buckle up cause she isn't a sweet old lady. Sorry that I didn't know how you specifically want someone to order. She CAN be nicer to her people. I'm actually watching her be nice right now. The man just told someone a price for something and the lady came rang her up and charged her more. I don't know, maybe honor the first price cause that's pretty messed. The person questioned the lady about the pricing the man gave her but she just said NO. And wouldn't budge.

I came back to this location after the owner went above and beyond to make my last experience…read morebetter. I ordered the mini pretzel dogs again. They were fresh, delicious and soft. The staff was super friendly and they even have an express mobile order pick up to skip the line. I will highly recommend this location since they do things right here.

We bought two lemonades and two bottled water and returned for more ice and water and were denied. Sarah stated I was required to pay for the ice water. When I told her that was unheard of any establishment not having water for their customers. She stated " go somewhere else". Meanwhile Jody Icamen watching from behind this complete display of animosity and just plane disgusting behavior. Sarah then repeats I should go elsewhere and Jody Icamen walks up and presents herself as the boss. She also try's to charge me for a cup of water and continues the ugly hostility as her puppy dog Sarah. I can't believe their behavior is acceptable by any means. Buy small cups that you can offer as a courtesy for your customers it won't break the bank. When I walked away the crew all started laughing seems like they have established that Auntie Annie's goal is to be the worst possible to there paying customers. I'm so disappointed and as much as I love the pretzels and lemonade I will not return until I receive a sincere apology. I will go down the hallway to Wetzels Pretzels.
