It's my first time at this location and there's plenty of parking right outside. The store is so spacious. There were people studying and playing card games. Perfect place to sit and yapp where it's not overwhelming. It was a vibe in there and it's super clean as well. We easily ordered on the kiosk. There were so many great options to choose from. I ordered the double matcha and my friend got the hojicha. The drinks came out in 5 minutes. The double matcha was so good. Just the right creaminess and sweetness (I got regular sugar). Definitely coming back :)

Temperatures were…read morejust under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so I was in the market for a place where I could get a refreshing drink that had decent WiFi and good air conditioning. It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice.

Huong Lan Sandwiches is a local Vietnamese food market off Tully Road. This place is a staple to…read moreSan Jose cause you can't beat finding a tasty, affordable meal in the Bay for around $6. Make sure to carry cash since it's the best form of payment, although they take card now. What always brings people to Huong Lan is obviously their delicious banh mai sandwiches. They offer a wide selection of fillings. If you have left over banh mi, I recommend air frying it so that the bread is crispy. Makes the eating experience so much better! Since it's a mini-market, its an amazing go to and grab kinda place. They offer a range of items such as desserts, drinks, and snacks. Huong Lan's parking is straightforward since it's in a huge parking lot that never gets crowded. The pain in the ass is leaving to go on the main road if it's busy since it's right next to a highway.

Their bánh mì is just as good and affordable for under $10. They also offer a good variety of Vietnamese dishes, grab-and-go snacks, and even a BBQ meats section with Chinese food like Peking duck. You get a lot out of this if you are craving some quick Vietnamese snacks. I'd be a wary with the grab-and-go desserts. There was no sticker stating the expiration date. The bánh tằm (cassava silkworm dessert) I bought tasted sour and rancid. I had to throw it out! However, their chè selection was better and I haven't had any issues with it. I would come back here for their sandwiches! It's truly a hidden gem that holds a place in my heart.
