They transformed our backyard into a daily family entertainment.. the owner designed our unique layout and made sure to fulfill every request we thought of. They were on a mission to make our dream pool a reality. They weren't just about meeting expectations; they surpassed them with flying colors, mentioning of colors the light shows that are programmed with our pool is really amazing as well! Even after the project was done, their commitment to our satisfaction didn't waver. They followed up on the pool, came out and checked the levels, made sure we knew what we were doing. The relationship built between our family and the owner "Carl" is now a lifetime friendship. We're not just happy with our pool; we love it! , and that's all thanks to them. We do plan to use infinity pools in the future for our next build out (patio and bbq/bar area).

Homeowners, be aware before choosing this pool company. Our…read morepool took nearly a year to complete, and unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing from the beginning. Despite advertising a lifetime warranty, the company has not stood behind its work or honored its commitments. Since day one, we've experienced numerous issues, including: Ongoing equipment problems. Travertine decking that was never properly sealed. Missing rebar in portions of the decking, which has now resulted in cracking. An outdoor kitchen that was left unfinished, forcing us to hire and pay outside contractors to complete the work. A spa that is currently leaking. Spa jets that have never functioned properly and cause water to overflow instead of operating as designed. When we requested documentation for our records, such as the materials, colors, and products that were installed, the company never responded. Our pool was a significant investment, yet we repeatedly had to push back when lower-quality materials were being proposed. After researching the products ourselves, we insisted on higher-quality options instead of the cheaper slide, flooring, and other materials they initially wanted to install. There are many more issues than I can list in one review. My advice to anyone considering this company is to do your research, get every promise in writing, keep detailed records, and don't rely solely on verbal assurances. A pool is a major investment, and you deserve quality workmanship and a company that stands behind its product long after the final payment is made. For this and other reasons we were not asked to complete a review. So I took it upon myself to post this information.

His crew was respectful, hardworking, and showed great attention to detail throughout the entire process. The project was completed on time, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. The quality of the concrete work exceeded my expectations, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a reliable concrete contractor for patios, driveways, or any concrete work, I highly recommend Ricardo and his team. It's hard to find this level of dedication and service these days. I will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

I had 5 contractors come to my house to bid the job. They came and looked at the job, but they never called back and never responded with a quote. They ghosted me. The bid was significantly lower than the ONE other bid I received. Ricardo and his crew did a great job--we are so happy with the results. I highly recommend Affordable Concrete & Construction.

UPDATE TO THE NIGHTMARE: AS soon as we posted the review below, Paul (Sales/Principal of company)…read morecalled us. He wants to all the sudden make everything right. Wants us to move forward. We asked him to come to our home to view the issues and discuss with us. He came today 6/17, never looked at anything. He is ill apparently, so he sat at one end of the pool and took notes of what we said. He stated they would have a meeting and get back to us. A couple hours later he calls with an offer $2200.00 or he fixes the issues. I said so you are trying to buy us off? Basically! I told him I would have to call him back after speaking with my husband. I call back to let him know we want the issues fixed not his pay off and that we would like to know/scheduled of when the repairs/work would take place. To which he said is impossible but he will do his best. He states everything has imperfections and its not even a big deal. Again, he didnt look at the pool closely and most issues are only seen when you are in the pool, because that's when you can see the complete inside of the concrete, bull nose, trim areas. Only if we sign a NDA would he remedy the items that his crews and him should have take care of already! Actually, never should have been left like this to begin with. I refused to sign the NDA and take down my reviews prior to the work as he wanted. So, we are left with a poor job by Aquamarine pools still. NIGHTMARE!!!!! I honestly cannot believe the reviews here, my husband and I had nowhere close to the experience that others are posting. These have to be paid reviews based on our experience. To date, we still have issues that need to be resolved and as usual Toinette says it's up to the mason guy or up to me to contact their contractor. I have received many rude texts and emails during the entire process from the team, to include Paul (sales) and Toinette as well. Our so-called new pool looks like we have had it for 10 years due to the poor workmanship. We had trenches in our yard for much longer than we should have as they didnt even know they were there supposedly. How did they not know they dug them and left them. Was told pool school Paul would clean up all their trash and fill in our trenches. Of course, when he arrived he laughed and said that's not his job. Toinette said it's just small areas until I sent her pics to let her know what we were actually dealing with. He also laughed when we asked him when we would need to use Jacks magic pink stuff that was listed as a must have item to have. Spent $89 on it and Paul said we don't need it. (they will not take them back so out of pocket here also) I made multiple complaints and not once did anyone come out to look at the nightmare we were dealing with. They blatantly did not care, DO NOT care and are awful at customer service. They get your money and then leave you with a disaster of a pool. We are still left with an unsatisfactory job. There is way too much to even put in this review. I attached pictures and screenshots as proof of our nightmare experience here posted there. Project start date was 4/1/2024. Hopefully no one else receives the same treatment as we did. I really hate having to post such things but this entire experience has left me with many sleepless nights and a lot of stress and I think they should take some accountability for how they have treated myself, my husband and our home. Who wants to have wasted $65K??!!! If anyone wants more information I would be happy to provide.

According to the app used to control the pump speed, it is much more efficient than I expected. I have never had a pool before, so learning how to correct the pool chemicals has been a learning experience, especiallybwith our private well water, but was able to it to get all tests to pass. Staycation resolved every question or concern. Responses were very fast since they use an app where everyone on the project gets copied.

My experience with this company was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to consistent…read morecommunication failures, poor workmanship, and a lack of accountability throughout the project. First, there was confusion regarding the spa system. The contract explicitly specified a blower, yet I was repeatedly told it was a venturi system. I had to repeatedly defend and re-explain my own contract until they finally confirmed what was already documented. HOA submission guidance was also contradictory. I was initially told to reject incorrect materials, but later informed that "generic" selections would be used to gain approval. This raises serious concerns about their process, and I believe HOAs in the San Antonio area would be interested to know this approach may be used. Second, project coordination was inadequate. I had to repeatedly remind staff about irrigation sleeves under the patio, which would have been missed without my involvement. The concrete subcontractor was unaware. While I was told it was "documented," it clearly was not communicated to the field. Anything beyond a basic scope required constant oversight from me. Third, design changes were poorly handled. Adding steps was discussed early but deferred. When included via change order, the drawings were incorrect, resulting in an unsafe step height. Even when sub-contractor flagged it before the pour, no action was taken. When I raised concerns that evening, responses were delayed and dismissive, including unprofessional communication. Fourth, the spa masonry work is unacceptable. While the stone was fine, the top caps and waterfall tile were inconsistently installed, leaving large gaps and visible caulking. When I asked if the caulk line could be reduced, the mason began to agree but was interrupted by the owner, who insisted it was "standard." Corrections were later acknowledged, but the proposed fix exposed further errors. I agreed to a quoted change order, but the final price was increased. There was no accountability or effort to honor the original price. Fifth, site management and closeout were poor. Multiple requests were required to remove debris, leaving my yard in unacceptable condition, resembling a gravel pit. The pool was also turned over dirty despite repeated requests to clean it before pool school. Finally, I was concerned by the company's conduct outside the project. After anonymously seeking advice online, the owner inserted himself into the discussion and attempted to control the narrative despite not being identified. Overall, this project showed a pattern of deflection, poor communication, substandard work, and lack of ownership. I strongly recommend others proceed with caution. Update to Staycation Response: Kelley argued rather than reading the contract-poorly handled. The HOA concern is not misleading, and I did not request anything on a rushed timeline. You deceive HOAs to get approval. Claims that I requested extra work "during" construction are false; I discussed a Phase 2 patio/sidewalk after completion, and with you as well. I never berated anyone over $100, and all change orders were paid in full as shown. I have documented evidence (I'll post), including time-stamped photos (today), supporting all my statements and showing final conditions. I never threatened with a 1-star review for no-cost. Documented evidence shows how you handled this gave you a 5 to 1. You fabricate, lie and misrepresent to discredit me. Conduct outside the project refers to the public Facebook response, which speaks for itself.

I had recently had some friends have pools built so I did meet with one of their builders. After Zak came out to meet with us to talk about what we had in mind, it was their business to loose. He knew of one of the other companies I was waiting on a quote from and very honestly told me his company would probably be higher. He explained some of the reasons why which all made sense to me and seemed legitimate. When meeting Zak I felt this was a local company that knew what they were doing, had their own crews and could be trusted. Pool builders are normally ranked somewhere between accident lawyers and software salespeople. Just a joke. All said and done our new pool is in and more beautiful than the design Zak had created for us. The project stayed on schedule and their crews were very skilled, respectful and cleaned up after them selves. This company is top notch and I highly recommend using them.
