    Pool after getting new pool service  from another company (thanks Mario M.).  Chemicals are perfect

    This is not the pool service to use if you want quality!! I will do a thorough review of their service (including employees, customer service, timeliness/flexibility, pool care, price). Just as a heads up, I skim and brush the pool and empty the skimmer baskets daily (except on service day). I only have service to ensure the bottom is vacuumed weekly and keep the chemicals perfect and learn from the service to ensure I do my part as an owner. Employees: Gil & Justin is a very nice people and friendly to work with. They unfortunately are the only pro when dealing with the employees. They have different technicians come out each week (never know who is coming by). This doesn't allow for them to know your pool or equipment to ensure things are going well. They make mistakes and push it back on the homeowner. Customer Service: This is another area where they are lacking! I'll provided specific examples: 1. They don't communicate if your service gets bumped or moved to the next until after the fact. 2. I had the sand in the filter replaced and explained to them that a part needed fixed in the sand filter so might as well do both at the same time and they sent out Gil to do the sand and didn't let him know the part needed replaced until he showed up and I told him. They had to then order the part (took days) to have it come in and finish a one day job. 3. Never checked the CYA (gave excuse they do 2x/year and it was before we obtained their services) upon taken us on as new customers. This is just basic common sense to do a baseline reading on a pool to know what is going on and start out on the right foot. Our CYA was through the roof HIGH. This caused the pool to go green and then when I ask them what to do it was just empty pool. Unacceptable as they caused the problem to progress and then they do nothing to rectify or make it right. 4. Adding insult to injury, I've been a customer since Oct 2921 and they have my payment information on file and have charged me for sand filter repair and other things but haven't charged my card for months. Then they drop a huge bill on me. I have no problem paying for services performed but it's just another example of how they don't communicate properly and in turn it becomes the customers problem. They are supposed to solving problems not making more for their customers. Timeliness/Flexibility: They respond quickly when they need something but when you have an issue they take their time and if you have a problem with the pool they don't move things around to help the situation they make you wait until your service day. Example - if they come on Friday and the pool starts turning on Saturday...that's your problem until next Friday. Also, like I stated above, they bump you at times and you can't count on them to be there when they say. Pool Care: they do not check ALL the chemicals on service days. They do not flock a pool with excessive pollen in it just through in a ton of shock and chlorine tabs (this can raise the CYA levels). Price: their price was reasonable and fair for the weekly service. It ended up costing me more to correct they mess up by not checking ALL the chemicals so it is more in the long run. It's a shame that I had to learn the hard way of being a new pool owner by having their services. I have learned from my mistakes and will pay more for weekly service if it means I don't have to empty the entire pool, clean it, refill it , and get the chemicals where they are supposed to be.
