I got the root beer carnita taco to go and didn't eat it till well over 24 hours later and let me tell you, it's AMAZING. Chloe helped us decide at the cart and she was so lovely and helpful. Will absolutely be returning even just due to the amazing customer service we received, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good tacos!!!

May I have another!?! Yes you may! So on our journey of Southern Oregon, we are just beginning to find some great hidden gems. This is one of them. We are staying at a quaint little spot in downtown Redmond and craving some good street tacos... now I was expecting little tacos with either chicken pork or shredded beef. Nothing like what we had to choose from. We could walk yo this spot, it is a good truck zone right next to the cute chapel turned pizza spot (grace and hammer pizza, we ate here two nights ago and mmmmmmm) and as you will see by the photos, there is also another fabulous truck right next to this spot. Where the location is, it is in a spot with tables, two fire pits, and it is adjacent to a pub of which you can take your food in and order beer/wine and they will bring your food to you (that is if they aren't busy) When we arrived we weren't sure if we would just take our food to the hotel and eat there, but so glad we didn't. Both of the food trucks helped us out by showing us where to go. Being not from here and trying to find great places. This one is one we will hit again and again, if not for the food but the atmosphere and people. The fantastic two guys working at this truck when we first arrived talked us through the menu and helped me find the items that my sensitive palate (to spice) could handle. We ordered the Loaded Beer Battered zucchini fries, drizzled with yumminess (ranch, poblano, cilantro and cotija cheese) Root beer carnitas (he said these would be spicy for me but I tried them and they were soooo delicious... until the heat hit and my eyes started burning... but please know, I am a wimp and a half when it comes to spice, my friend devoured them and had no problem with the spice... the meat was tender and soooo flavorful. Poblano Chicken Taco, this was one that I devoured!!!! I will get two of these babies next time. So good and yes, you have to have the pickled onion on it, so not take it off... it adds the zing you need to make it ring.. (cheesy, yes I know) Blueberry Chipotle Brisket- I know, it doesn't sound something that would work but oh yes it does! There was so much meat, and so much flavor!!! We also got some chips and salsa, which were good, he gave us a sample of all three salsas, the problem was, we had so much food, we didn't have room to put them into our tummies. We sat in the bar and everyone there were so welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. So, as we take our journey further west, trying to find the fun mom and pop places and great food trucks, Westside Taco truck is one to NOT miss, you won't be disappointed.

If you come to Redmond and you don't come here you have made a mistake! Aaron is super nice and informative. I'm Latino and can tell you this place is a must visit!

a few things that stood out: prices are crazy, no actual mexican restaurant would get away charging $6 a taco. tortillas are inconsistent & too thick so they rip open. root beer in carnitas was uh... a new one. i'd rather go get my street tacos from la posada down the road. Edit: LMAO in addition to their crummy food their owners are apparently passive aggressive children who can't handle a poor review without their ego completely deflating. oh, and amber claims i've never had her food? it's not impossible for people to have your food and not like it, get over yourselves.

I love the tacos here. Every time I come to Redmond to enjoy them they are closed. Today was the last straw. I drove up after work on Tuesday website said open till 8 so did yelp. They are CLOSED at 6 on Tuesday's! Get your hours straight on your social media platforms and be open. How hard is that? read more

A religious experience. Carnitas and the poblano chicken are completely amazing. Tortillas are hand made. Just absolutely delicious. They even are nice enough to bring it to you while you grab a beer next door. Staff is super friendly. I will definitely be back!! read more

Best tacos in Central oregon. We love this place and love supporting local folks. They are getting pricey but most of the time they at still worth it. Only a couple times I have been underwhelmed in the portion size but flavors are always on point. read more

Hands down, BEST TACOS in central Oregon. Their style is more high end, so don't expect carne asada street tacos, rolled tacos, or even burritos (there's a time and place for everything!). Just kick ass tacos. The tortillas are cooked per order from house made masa. The blueberry brisket tacos are the best on the menu, in my opinion, but everything is a must-try at Westside taco. Of special note: the employees and owners are super friendly and they bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied. Also, it doesn't hurt that they are located at a GREAT brewery taphouse . read more

Incredible tacos! Would not have thought such great street food, normally found in Southern states and cities, would be found here. Some of the best tacos I've ever had (I'm a self proclaimed taco connoisseur from Southern Ca.) and I've had my share in my 48 years of life! Ok I am gonna give it to y'all straight: I am from Texas, went to school in Austin, and I have been trying to find some amazing tacos in Oregon. This place has comes the closest to hitting the sweet spot, and in my view, has the best tacos I have found in Oregon so far. Bold claims, yes, but give it a try and maybe too will agree. We ordered 2 and loved it so much we went back for more. I tried the two veggie tacos to start, and they were incredible! Be warned that the Thai vegan one can really bring it with the spice. Loved them so much, though, that I went back and got another chicken taco. read more

Aaron and Amber produce the best tacos we have ever had. They graciously provided services for our annual event serving about 100 family and friends. Not only were they a pure joy to work with, they also cooked on site during a thunderstorm. We just can't sing their praises enough. BEST TACOS EVER!! I had the potato/avocado taco and thought it was the best taco I've ever had. They make everything fresh there including the tortillas which are very different from other taco places. They are a "thick corn" and I wish I could eat them daily! They have a great assortment of fresh salsas. The young girl that was working was super helpful and sweet! Thank you- I will be back often!! read more

Yum yum yum yum!! I am so delighted that we happened to stop here on our road trip through Oregon! Each taco on the menu was $4, two of us split 3 (so we could try them out) and we were blown out of the water by the amount of flavor we got for $12! We shared the blueberry barbacoa the root beer carnitas, and the Thai curry chicken tacos and were not disappointed by any of them! They each had juicy meat, powerful flavors that mixed well and were serve on thicker corn tortillas. All I can say is YUM!! The staff was incredibly kind and the wait was almost nonexistent. A must stop if you're in the area and a taco enthusiast. read more

Authentically outstanding! would consider myself to be a taco food critic. I've tried nearly every food truck and popular (unpopular too) tacos in Central Oregon. I usually prefer authentic Mexican style street tacos, but I genuinely can not rave enough about art behind Aaron's taco craft. There is something special and unique about WestSide tacos in Redmond, OR. Aaron and his crew have what what it takes to go the distance in the food industry, and frankly they have been under rated for what they are. I have never been disappointed after eating their tacos, but today I was utterly blown away by the extreme flavor of their Al Pastor tacos. The combination of the Al Pastor style meat with the mango salsa and pineapple was mouthwatering. I have never written a review anywhere for anything in my life, but these tacos deserve an award. Many more awards I suppose... Something big. Aaron's customer service was unmatched. He followed up with us after we ate to check in and even told us everything he used to make those tacos! Excellent customer service, flavor, follow up and flare. I didn't even talk about the Zuccinni fries! A perfect crunch on the outside with a deliciously soft zucchini center. *I was not paid or bribed to write this, but he should really be charging $10/taco. Every bite is a gourmet taste of heaven. read more

IF ONLY I COULD GIVE MORE STARS!! Amazing, amazing, amazing!! From appetizers to tacos there isn't a bad option. Definitely recommend the fried zucchini and onion rings with all the toppings. EVERY taco is a good option. Some favorites are the brisket, poblano chicken, and the al pastor. CAN NOT GO WRONG. SO AMAZING!!!! read more

I've only eaten the Blueberry Brisket Barbacoa, but honestly, it may be the best Barbacoa Taco I've ever had. The corn tortilla was crisp on the outside, but still perfectly warm and soft inside. The brisket was well prepped, not overly salted or too fatty, which you seem to find too often. The addition of blueberry to the brisket really made it stand out though -- that subtle hit of sweetness was perfect. But then... their salsa really set it off. This salsa is no joke. The spice never hides, it's right there up front, but there's still so much flavor. I'm ready to go back and sample everything else from the menu. And order another Barbacoa Taco. Or two. read more

This place is always amazing. I went here in the middle of winter, sat outside, and did not care one bit. These tacos are huge! Easily the size of 3 normal street tacos, so $5 for a taco is completely fine. 3 tacos and some chips is more than enough for my wife and me. Today's special was the Al Pastor. It was amazing, huge spice factor with large pieces of pineapple made for a delicious combo. Employees are super friendly. Every time I go here all is hear is every customer telling the staff how amazing the food was. Easily the best tacos in central Oregon, hands down. El Sancho doesn't even compare. read more

I have recently moved back to Central Oregon after being gone for 17 years. In those years... I have searched for the best taco stand in all the land. I lived in Colorado and traveled a lot in my years away.... always looking for every taco joint I could find. I am talking 100's of taco places. To my surprise... I moved 3 miles from the best taco stand I have Ever found. Westside tacos deserves some awards!!!! The infusion of flavors are on point! Kobold did a fabulous thing having these guys on their lot! If you are in a hurry, this is NOT the place for you. So relax! This food is so worth the wait. I had two tacos... the blueberry brisket barbacoa and the pineapple pastor. Holy smokes! So delicious... unique and fabulous tortilla and very creative combos. Definitely a must-do! read more

Constant quality regardless of the time of day or what's on the menu. In the running for the very best tacos in Central Oregon. The only downside is that, being next to Kobold Brewing, and having such excellent food, the line on a Friday night could be all the way out to the street. But this is a small price to pay Have patience, and enjoy. read more

Go out of your way to eat here. Everything about these tacos was fantastic. The variety, the quality, the homemade tortillas. All bursting with flavor. The fish tacos were as good as we had in San Diego. We stumbled upon it as out-of-towners and came back a second time for another round a few days later. We won't pass through town again without coming back. read more

The brisket will butter your biscuit. We found this place on TripAdvisor when looking for something quick and yummy during a pit stop in Redmond. Aaron is a taco scientist and has a PHD in tacotry. Seriously killer tacos though, with a lot of options to choose from. read more

One of the best meals in Central Oregon! the blueberry chipotle Brisket and Baha Fish are favorite tacos.Tortillas are housemade corn masa and cooked fresh to order. Onion rings are outstanding and somehow manage to stay light. They come drizzled with that beautiful blueberry chipotle bbq sauce. Aaron, the owner and cook (most of the time) is an awesome guy and takes great care of his customers! read more

We got ... forgot the name but it was a beef and broccoli with veggies - super good. And chilaquiles - holiday style (red a green sauce). Both were flavorful and hearty - very filling. Price was decent - I think it was less than $40 for both meals which, today, is great for two entrees. It was quick to come out - since it was take out and close to closing I waited in their seating area and they had water available for me - love that. Location is easy to find although parking was tight. Perhaps it was the time of day we came and it was a weekend. Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was perfectly beautiful sitting amongst the trees. I would recommend should you find yourself in Bend stopping here for a little bit of Mexico!

These are the BEST tacos I have ever had. Every time I eat at Westside Taco, it's as enjoyable as the first time. The tacos are no ordinary tacos- they are a flavor explosion in your mouth. Their homemade tortillas really make these tacos stand out. The Al Pastor tacos are my favorite when they have them. But when they don't, I know I can always count on getting the delicious Blueberrry Brisket Barbacoa tacos and the Root Beer Carnitas tacos. Not only is the food amazing, Aaron, Amber, Drew and Mary provide outstanding customer service. They are personable, friendly, and make the whole experience of enjoying a nice meal better with their wit and banter. The tacos were insanely good! Aaron brought all 4 kinds to the table as well as the amazing onion rings and explained the sauces and process of smoking the brisket. He and his wife were very friendly, which we loved, because...this is Redmond. The Buffalo chicken tacos, the brisket barbacoa and carnitas were our favorites, but I think it was the tortillas and homemade pickled onions that put these tacos over the edge. A friend of mine mentioned this little taco joint in an alley downtown Redmond, said it was incredible. In pursuit of a beer at the Vault, we stumbled upon said taco joint. Holy cow! I just asked the cook to serve us whatever he recommended. He brought us the Root Beer Carnitas and the Blueberry Brisket. Both were absolutely exceptional! Really great tacos, some of the best in Central Oregon! I love the location next to the Vault. I was bummed to see the prices of the tacos go up, though. I would give them 5 stars but $4 a taco?? Amber and Aaron are wonderful! If you are in Redmond this is a must stop. I came here from Portland with my brother and his girlfriend and they showed us endless kindness.
