The owner was ever so kind and helpful. I had to have measurements sent in tonight that people in Nigeria are making me for the native part my daughter's upcoming wedding nuptials, and he took every measurement possible-- even though he had just closed-- and even took the pains to draw out a sketch on which he marked and labeled each measurement for me and the tailors. After finishing all of this professional work, he refused to take payment from me. I encourage everyone to patronize this community-minded mom-and-pop establishment, and pray God's blessing and success upon it 100-fold. ALL of my prayers are answered, by the way. read more

Tried to charge me $95 to get a label sewed onto the inside of my jacket. Don't bother with this place go across the street to Channel Islands Cleaners, they charged me $9 to have it done. read more

The Lady that runs this place doesn't believe in customer service or even in clean products. She returned my shirt with a dirty collar, which I paid to get clean, it was visibly still dirty, when I asked her about it, she said "that it's not her fault, that they only spray it and however it comes, it comes. She also said the customer is not always right. She didn't even say she was sorry or try to ask me to leave it again so they could try again and maybe correct it. She doesn't know what she is doing and is very rude. She shouldn't be running a business!!! read more

Service is fast and they do good with dry cleaning but They lost my clip that was attached to a piece of clothing I took to get dry cleaned.

They had charged me without telling me they were unable to remove the stain, once I noticed they stain was still there and what seemed like some new ones I went back and asked why it wasn't removed. She said they couldn't remove it with no explanation, asked if they were able to identify what they stain was and she laughed in my face and said I should already know. $11 to simple wash one piece of clothing and was extremely rude read more

I've been a customer of Westside Plaza Cleaners for over 5 years. I've have noticed that although the quality of the cleaning has remained constant the price for cleaning has substantially escalated. I would have thought, being a repeat customer, that after spending $130 for cleaning over the last couple of days that there would have been room for a discount to reward my constant loyalty and taking in large cleaning amounts for dry cleaning. I understand increasing costs, but when the prices are outpacing other competitive cleaners, I think there may be unnecessary price increases to substantiate this business's profitability. read more

p this is one of the best cleaners in the neighborhood service is outstanding I'm very pleased with the warm family experience strictly the best I'm at home with them like family very professional read more

I put in one men!s suit with a small grease stain smaller than the size of a quarter. They were unable to remove it. it was brought to the attention of the counter person who said she was the cleaner. In the past I was owner and operator of 2 dry cleaning establishments and it was obvious the stain wasn't spot treated before as I had requested when I dropped off the suit. It wasn't worth the almost $30 charge. Usually a reputable dry cleaners would put a note on the stain informing the customer that every effort was made to remove the stain. And a discount on the cleaning is offered. They lack the knowledge and experience required to be a real dry cleaners. read more

Had graduation gown just pressed very expensive and it wasn't a great press. I should of saved my $15.00. Times are so hard and it was overpriced. read more

Worst cleaners ever!!! We took in brand new white pants and custom made white dress and picked it up with black stains on dress and white pants no longer white but a light grey!!!! How does the entire fresh white pants worn once turn grey!! No spots just an entire light grey!!! The owner was very unprofessional and repeatedly kept saying he's washed the same pair of pants multiple time!! Brand new pants, we showed him pics and a receipt of purchase and he still would not budge of his mistake!!! RIDICULOUS!! Complained that they ruined our clothing for the owner to turn around and say it was brought in with black stains!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHING HERE!! There are plenty of better cleaners!! 1 star because I had no choice, can't post a review without stars. I'd give it none!!!! read more

POOR SERVICE! Charge too much. I had 2 blouses altered & they charge me for both shirts when they only did 1 shirt. I called & had asked for a refund but they say they do not do refunds, I asked why when my shirt wasn't altered... No explanations! The manager said I can stop by when the lady who sews shirt is there, like really, why that?? Why would it be at their convenience when they already make a mistake! No courtesy at all! Seriously! This was the first time I had them altered my shirt, & last! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ! read more

The customer services is great. They make you feel welcomed as they address by name. I was surprised the staff knew my name. The hours are longer to serve the busy schedules of the customer. Thank you Westside Plaza Cleaners for making me feel welcomed. There are many dry cleaners services but I choose them for quick and quality service. read more

I have been a customer for 6 years. They are honest and do a great job. I spend well over $200 a month in dry cleaning so I am extremely picky as to where I go. I haven't had a need to go anywhere else even though I work in Camarillo and drive to Oxnard every two weeks to drop off clothes. I am so happy that they recently started to pick up and deliver. Their pricing and service is excellent. read more

Westside Plaza Cleaners is the best, I had a stain on one of my nice dress shirts that was removed like it was never there. The owner (vikram) treats all his customers like family. read more

If I can give 0 stars I would. This place is very unreliable they say your clothes will be ready by certain day and time and it's not. They aren't well organized. And highly overpriced. I'm certainly taking my business elsewhere. read more

So I took a fitted baseball cap ($45) in for dry cleaning like I've done in the past with average results. This time they decided to put it in a washer instead of dry cleaning it . Well the thing is ruined of course because they beat it up in their washer. The manager seriously asked "what's wrong with it?" in front of another customer who just shook his head in disbelief and walked out. He proceeded to try to iron the bill of the hat and gave it back to me saying he sees nothing wrong with it. As you can see it wasn't even cleaned well and the shape was ruined. We discussed the shape of the hat and cleaning technique used. He said he "can only dry clean dark materials, not this color because it's too light". Really? No integrity here with this dishonest person. Mistakes are made everywhere I'm sure but at least admit it and take responsibility for it . I put the hat in his trashcan after he insisted I brought it to him in that condition. Wow! Previous owners were much better quality people. They're obviously missed at this business. They deserve zero stars but that's not an option with yelp. I've never bothered to rate a business in a negative way but this guy really deserves it. Do yourself a favor and stay away . read more

Westside Plaza Cleaners - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Oxnard, California

My family and I have been coming all the way from Ventura to get our dry cleaning done for the past few months (Our regular Safari Dry Cleaners raised their prices by an outrageous amount). The service and prices are just great here. They have a handy loading zone next to the cleaners so you can just drop off your laundry and go. I picked up my fathers 4 suits and 3 shirts which cost him $25 in addition to a down comforter for $35. Pretty good if you ask me. On top of that the owner and his wife are so nice and pleasant. They recognize their returning customers right away, engage in small talk and don't rush you out the door. The only reason I docked them a star was because they do not do leather/suede cleaning anymore :( Other than that, I highly recommend this place! Cheers! read more

This cleaners is not the best in the community. The quality of cleaning is very poor. They ripped my shirt when ironing it and gave it to me with the rest of my clothes without mentioning it. and then said it wasn't their fault when I discovered it after, and they would not replace it. do not trust them. Ever since the new owners took over the quality of work has been poor and very dirty. read more

Dee has been working here for years! After him and his wife moved to Michigan the new owner took over!! He has raised the price on EVERYTHING! I told him about how Dee use to take care of his clients, and he said "I don't care! I'm looking for new ones" well I guess it's his cleaners and he can do that! I'll be taking my business els where!! Thank you Dee for all these years of great customer service! I'm just sorry we have a new greedy owner now!! read more

After previous owners Namu and Dee left, the new owner raised the prices on everything, to the point that we no longer take our clothes there for dry cleaning: a bill that used to be $75 would now be close to $200. It's too bad that they have started to receive poor reviews because this is a local business that has had loyal customers for many years. read more

Took suit and pants in to have them cleaned. when I got them back there was still a strong under arm BO smell I took them back and they said they would put some deodorant on the under arm smell. I left the suite and pants. when I picked up the suite the pants were missing. when I ask where the pants were they said I didn't bring any in only the suite coat. they acted really funny about it and insisted that I had only brought in the coat. I know for certain I brought in both by the weight very light with only the Jacket. I'll never go there again read more

I have been a customer of this business for over 15 years. Within the past year there has been a new manager in place and he and his wife are horrible. The manager cannot remember customers information and has lost clothes on two occasions. No call backs from the manager and he also has his children running around the business during work hours. I will be taking my business to another location. read more

PATHETIC!!! Ever since ownership changed, prices went up and quality of service went way down!!!! I took a suit with a mild pen marking in it and was charged $25 and I made sure to point it out to the owner. When I picked it up the stain was still there!!!! They told me they didn't use the right chemical to clean it but they would get it out next time I brought the suit back!!!! Are you kidding me???? Don't give these thieves your money!!!! read more

Unfortunately I had to give this place a one star to post my review. This is a -5 star business. I trusted them with a dress I looked for for over a month with alterations for a destination wedding and they lost it!!!! They did not offer compensation nor have they contacted me like they said they would if the dress was found or not found in a weeks time. I plan on going back to be compensated!!!! Stay tuned for that!! The place used to be great until new managers took over. They are very unprofessional. Do not go to this place if you value your clothing!!!!! They suck!!!!!! read more

Great on shirts! Highly recomend them for men's shirts. Wonderful people and service as well. Been using them for almost 10 years. Whenever they ruin the dry cleaning items I've brought in, which is more than not, they apologize and offer restitution, but never a satisfactory explanation as to how it happened; consequentially, we have stopped bringing them that business. I continue with the shirts based on the great relationship established with the "owners" and the otherwise fantastic service they provide. read more
