Long/time time customer, they are very nice! I think they're a little less pricey than others

came here for the first time to drop off a couple pairs of pants. i had a hair dye stain on one and…read morei ripped a hole in the other Maria and her daughter were super kind, helpful, explained everything clearly to me. i picked it up after a week, and she managed to get the stain out (which is really hard to get out after it dries) and patched up the hole, and you can barely tell from afar! there was a little boutique in the back and i picked out this cute blouse. i paid about $25, and overall i was happy with this service and would definitely come back!

I brought a sweater to Frank's Cleaners to have the zipper replaced. Before dropping it off, I…read morecalled to ask for a price, but the person who answered said only the owner handles pricing. When I dropped it off, I clearly told them not to do any work until I approved the price, and they agreed to call me the next day with an estimate. Days passed with no call. When I followed up, the same employee told me the sweater wasn't done and that he still didn't know the price. I said I'd just come pick it up. Shortly after that, the owner called saying the sweater was already finished and the total would be $45. I was shocked--they did the work without my approval. When I mentioned this, the owner became defensive and said she had been in and out of the hospital and didn't have time to call people back. She also claimed the sweater had been dry cleaned and told me that if I didn't want to pay, she would keep it and donate it. My wife called after I explained what happened. She calmly explained how unprofessional that was, and the owner said she'd undo the repair so we could pick it up the next day. But when I got there 20 minutes after my first call, the shop was still open, and the employee was confrontational--saying they "don't work for free." When I asked to take a photo of the sweater for documentation, he said it wasn't there, even though I had just been told it was finished. Eventually, after I insisted he call the owner, she told him to give me my sweater back and not to return. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I felt stuck--like they were holding my item hostage. I strongly recommend reading other reviews and getting all prices in writing before leaving anything there. I always try to support small local businesses, but this one made it very difficult. And to top it off, the business card they gave me wasn't even for Frank's Cleaners--it said Beachport Cleaners instead.
