I had a last minute groomsman emergency when my tuxedo pants arrived - two days before the wedding and six sizes too big. Chang texted the address to me and told me to come there immediately. Two hours after my fitting, I got another text message saying my pants were done - and my shirt was pressed! I brought 2 pairs of pants here to be hemmed. The turnaround time was accurate; however, the completed job was a different story. These were 2 exact pairs of pants in different colors, but they managed to hemm the pants cuffs on these pants at different widthsize meaning that they did not even use the original cuff width size as a reference point. After a few months, the stitching started to lift on all the new stitching lines. It was my first visit here, but I will not be going back. The price was high comparing to other vendors in Ventura County area and the quality and attention detail was not acceptable. read more

I was very hesitant to post anything because I know negative reviews can really hurt businesses, but I wish I had known this before. I brought my wedding dress here to get dry cleaned before the wedding. When I picked up the dress the bustle had been cut off. I brought the dress back and they did not admit to cutting the bustle (this almost frustrated me more than the fact it was cut). They did attempt to sew on a new bustle but they didn't have the right material and I ended up having to bring the dress back to the original alterations place 3 days before my wedding for them to re-sew the bustle. I will say the dress was dry cleaned beautifully, I just wish they had take more care of my dress and owned up to the mistake of having cut it off (mistakes happen, I would have appreciated the transparency and an apology). read more

It's with a heavy heart that I write this review. I've been a long time customer of theirs but our experience today left us appalled and speechless. I came in on Wednesday to see if Iris could alter a bathing suit. Iris wasn't there so I left and was texted 20 minutes later to come back. I told her I needed the suit tighter around the waist - I was more curious if she could even help since bathing suit material is a different beast. She suggested she fold the fabric over and just sew it. I was apprehensive but she reassured me it would look fine and the alterations wouldn't be noticeable. I trusted her. Came to pick up the next day - one side was done fine but the other was clearly off.. the sides didn't match up at all. One side is about a centimeter higher than the other, not to mention a poor sew job. I asked Chaang to talk to Iris but she wasn't there (again), he seemed frustrated with my request to have it fixed and said come back later. I left feeling defeated - it was my 3rd time and swimsuit wasn't fixed. My husband went in today to pick it up (so this would be the 4th trip in) and it looked slightly better but still not great. Chaang was very defensive and told my husband to just talk to Iris but, again, Iris wasn't there. He tried to get my husband to pay but my husband said it would made him uncomfortable since we weren't satisfied and would have to pay to get it fixed elsewhere. The hardest part is that there was absolutely no accountability on their end... My husband asked Chaang to just look and see that it wasn't right. Chaang refused to even look at it and agree. When my husband tried to diffuse the situation by saying that we are long time customers and just wanted it fixed, Chaang said "Please don't ask me again! Just leave, just leave." It was a surreal moment to my husband. There's really no excuse being spoken to that way. As a business owner, there's no excuse for the lack of accountability and just showing people that you're human and humans make mistakes. Sometimes it's just that easy. Hopefully they see this and realize that, when there's an issue, most customers just want to be heard and felt understood. Unfortunately, we won't ever be back. read more

I have never had an issue with a dry cleaner. Ever. I mean I take stuff, give them money, and they either hem it or clean it. Doesn't seem complicated. This was the first time I have used this cleaners, but chose to go out of my way to do so because of the rave reviews, despite the price. I am willing to pay for good and reliable service. However, I do not understand why everyone loves this place. I paid $240.85 for 23 items of either simple hems or fixing a seam that came loose or regular dry-cleaning. Literally every single item has a problem. Literally. One item had a stain which I pointed out to him at drop off. At pickup, no problem was mentioned, and when I get it home, I find the stain folded up in the middle, most unseeable part of the garment. See photo. An item I took them simply to have the collar pressed came back with the collar folded in exactly the same wrong spot. It doesn't even look like it was pressed or steamed at all, honestly. See photo. Every regular cleaning item came out with excessive wrinkling that had not ever been present before. An item to have a button resewn put it on crooked and gaping at my chest. A sentimental potholder from my childhood resewed the loose hem with white thread instead of green thread like all the rest of it has. Every single pants or dress that was to have a simple him is either crooked or a couple inches too long or short. The pillow seam that was resewn has the threads going....well....indescribably. See photo. Etc etc etc. To be quite honest, it is completely unfathomable to me how such a thoroughly terrible job could have been done in so many different ways negligently. I'm at a loss as to how this could happen without someone doing it intentionally. But I don't know these folks, so I'm sure it wasn't intentional. But it is completely incomprehensible to me how someone with such good reviews AND who is the most expensive place around could accidentally and unknowingly done such a poor job, unless someone has a recent unaddressed major vision change. River park cleaners is a great place to go if you need something cleaned or altered. I bring my uniforms for the navy there and the people at RPC have always done a great job. If you need something in a pinch and it's not prom season they will do there best to work a small miracle for you. The location is convenient because it's near The Collection, but the access to the parking makes it like navigating a maze to get to and from the store. If you make the journey more than once you will learn the best way to get in and out of the awkward parking lot. One other pro is that they accept credit cards, which I have noticed is a rarity among dry cleaners. If you're happy where you currently get things cleaned and altered I'm not saying that you need to change, but if your new to the area and need a.good and reliable cleaner this place will satisfy your every desire... Customer beware!! My winter jacket is ruined after taking it in for dry cleaning at River Park Cleaners. The button covers literally fell off of the jacket and the material underneath the buttons is faded and very brittle. The owner will only contact the company who made the jacket if I have a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a 2 year old jacket? He is taking no responsibility for the damage and basically said that it is the fault of the jacket company. The jacket says "dry clean only". I have never had clothing ruined from any dry cleaning service over the years. I wish I had taken this favorite, warm jacket of mine to a different place of business. read more

Chaang is so kind! I went in for a Live Scan about 15 minutes before closing an I thought he was going to tell me it was too late. As I walked in, he was on the phone with another customer who was saying she would probably be late, but needed her clothes items, (seemed urgent to her) and he calmly reassured that it was no problem at all and he would wait for her after closing. When he was done on the phone, he helped me right away. (Yes, he did address to me while on the phone as well, just a smile and nod understanding what I needed due to my papers, which showed me he valued the lady on the phone respectfully by not talking to me as others tend to). It was my first time doing a Live scan and he was very informative and helped me understand everything every step of the way, along with answering any questions I had. I was very nervous and anxious since I had never done it, but his demeanor made me feel a lot better. I even got the the scan completed the next day! So my employer already has it as well. Fast, kind, reliable service! :) He also provides many other services like passport photos, Dry cleaning, alterations, and the Live scan, that's all I was able to see, but very helpful!
