No complaints. Ordered four large 2-topping pizzas to be delivered to a gym at Humboldt State University. They arrived as ordered, hot, on time, and with sauces, condiments, napkins and plates. All of that, with a generous tip and the convenience of delivery, less than $60 -- unheard of in Hawaii! Fed a dozen mostly college athletes with leftovers to spare. Will definitely order again on future visits to Arcata. read more

Make no mistake; this is mediocre pizza. In spite of this, I gave them 3 stars because the people working are always super friendly, the service is good, and they have a good selection of arcade games and an air hockey table. Well after waiting for almost 90 mins one pizza came smashed to the top of the box. While both pizzas were cold. They may be kinda cheap but they really need better service. This isn't the first time but I keep going back because the pizza is ok and they deliver. Remember you get what you pay for at this place and it is pretty cheap. read more

Just got a pizza delivered, it came pretty fast. Less than 30 minutes during dinner time rush. :-) The pizza was fairly decent, lots of toppings. My only complaint is that the crust was a little doughy still. read more

Had a pizza delivered to the Hampton Inn they made the wrong pizza I called and they said "since we had eaten some of the pizza they couldn't do anything about it" so my family waited over an hour for the wrong pizza and had to eat it. Though this isn't the Best pizza in town, this is definitely the best pizza for the price you pay. At $15 for a large two topping, order of cheese bread, and a 2L of soda, this is a great deal. The pizza is doughy, the pasta not consistent , they say it's guaranteed but if you call for them to make it right they tag you and tell you that you shouldn't order that item or from them..... Guess what....just won't order there ever again and I know lots of people in the community and will make sure to spread the word, not to waste time or hard earned money on westside pizza... Such a shame, when they first opened, never had a problem or a complaint. Now it's wrong more than right but as a business owner, I kept giving them another chance to shine but they are falling flat and when I did call i was made out to be the bad guy...., so much for customer satisfaction... The add says they will replace it if yo have at least half left, yet they act like you are trying to get one over on them and get free food. Not the case.... I entered this restaurant at around 12:45pm on a Monday afternoon. There were maybe a total of 5 customers in the dining room. The dining room area is fairly large. Probably seats at least 50-70 people easily. There are 2 tv's on opposite sides of the dining area, for customers to watch, while eating. There were only 2 employees observed when I entered. One was on the phone, taking a customer order. The other one, was serving pizza slices to customers in the dining area. A kid (customer) came to the counter after I had already been standing at the counter waiting for service, he yells "I have a question". The employee who was not on the phone serves another customer in the dining area food, then comes back to the counter. The employee on the phone is still on the phone, presumably with a customer. The kid yells again, "can I order 2 slices of pizza?" The employee who is not on the phone finally acknowledges me, and says to the kid "I think this guy was first" and he points to me. I say "Thank you, can I order 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink to go please?" (their lunch special is 2 slices of pizza and a drink for 4.00, from 11am-3pm) He promptly serves me 2 slices of cheese on a paper plate and gives me a to go cup for my drink. I pay in 4x1 dollar bills, and serve myself a raspberry ice tea from the self serve drink machine. I was staying at a friends house, which is literally right around the corner from the shopping center, maybe a 2 or 3 minute walk. The first thing I notice about the pizza is the crust is thick and I check the underside for evenness of cooking, it appeared to be cooked evenly, the edges were slightly burnt, but the rest of the crust was cooked evenly. The cheese was thoroughly cooked on top. So I take one bite, and there wasn't much flavor in the sauce, even though it appeared to be plenty of sauce on the pizza. The cheese didn't have much flavor either. I took another bite and it was just as bland and plain as the first bite. I was hungry so I ate one slice. The pizza was so bland and unappealing and not very flavorful, I couldn't even finish the second slice, so I offered the rest of it to my friend. I would say Domino's pizza is actually better tasting. I thought it was terrible. I will probably never eat there again. Their lunch special isn't even worth the $4.00, for the quality of pizza they are serving. Go elsewhere for lunch. Not even worth the 1 full star I'm generously giving them. If i could do a half a star, that's about the most realistic I could get. read more

The office I work at decided to try Westside Pizza after receiving coupons in the mail. Pulling up their website we noticed that we could order online and have it delivered and it would only cost $1.99 more. Sounded like a fairly decent deal. Choosing one of their online specials we got two medium pizzas and the total came to $24.88. As we tried to send the order in we got a message about how the website would not send an order twice. Figuring I must have clicked twice by mistake I called Westside Pizza to confirm they got the order. The man who answered the phone check and said they he had no received it. I told him the order we had placed and asked how long the wait would be and were told an hour. While we were on the phone we received a confirmation e-mail for the pizza we had ordered online. After an hour and twenty minute we called the store inquiring where our pizza was. We were told by the woman who answered the phone that they wait time had increased to an hour and a half since there were only two people working the store and since they had just sent out coupons it was a bit crazy. She said her co-worker had left 15 minutes before hand and should be there shortly with our order. When he arrived 10 minutes later with the pizza he told us it was going to be $26.51. Showing him the price of the confirmation e-mail he informed us, with a rather snippy attitude, that we had to pay the higher price and if we had a problem we could call and talk to his manager. He had to collect the amount on the ticket. Even with showing him the e-mail we received we were dismissed and he acted as though it wasn't his problem. After he left we did call the manager and complained. Though she agreed with us that it wasn't right for them to charge us a higher amount and offered to have him return and reimburse us the money we were entirely disgusted with the experience and it hardly seemed worth it. We will not be ordering from them again. read more

It was good and fast with delivery, good with takeout never undercooked or burned, but not enough dough on the crust and is too greasy. It's super cheap for its delicious taste and it is classy but retro for a pizza place. I would recommend if you are nearby and just want something to eat. The employees are nice and you almost never have to wait for your order. They have a lot of topings. They would he perfect for a pizza craving. read more

I'd have to say at the opening of this location. The owner took pride in what went out in this food service job. The pizza was cooked to perfection. Drawing me in to want more. The dough consistency was even as well as the topping. But, as business progressed the quality of service and the quality of the food diminished. I feel like they can do much better. A few times upon ordering a pizza from here opening the box the bottom of the pizza was crunchy hard. The wings ordered were under cooked... this was twice in a row I've noticed the service getting worse. The service is okay... accept when they put you on hold on the phone to wait like 15mins before helping you. I'd have to say this place needs help. read more

I have been a fan of westside since I moved to Arcata. I wrote a review about how the delivery took a long time but I wrote it and the very next day the OWNER personally responded to my review and totally made up for it. The staff at westside is honestly super nice! I felt pretty bad about leaving my review and they were just super nice to me about everything! I talked to the owner and he was genuinely sorry and he was just really really nice! Ashley (the GM) was SUPER sweet to me over the phone too. They had just updated the system and my house is hard to find! If anyone ever has a problem honestly don't be afraid to call and talk to them about it because they truly made it up to me and are just super nice people! I am revising my old review and making it right! I am defiantly a fan of westside and their beautiful pizzas! read more
