The first time, the guy said he couldn't deliver to McKinleyville even though their own answering machine said they could due to the McKinleyville RT fire. It took about 8 minutes for him to try and get my CC info and address then the call dropped. I called back immediately and he acted like he had no idea who I was and wanted to start the entire process over...including saying he couldn't deliver to McKinleyville I just called today, the same guy had me sit on the phone for 5 minutes, only to then say the system was down and to call back in 20 minutes. I walked in last night after traveling all day to get to Arcada(I come here every few months for work). It's Monday, so most breweries are closed and I wanted something quick and tasty. I walked next door from my hotel and went to Round table(no I did not have my mask on), immediately after walking in I get ask do I have a mask. I stated I did not and just want a pizza to go. They then yelled you can't be in here and never offered a mask or anything to help mediate the situation. As I walked out the door the gentleman behind the counter(mid 30s) yells, "get the fuck outta here!" I'm sorry, you can't do that! It's a small town dependent on tourist money. The thing I enjoy about Round Table Pizza is their consistency in their restaurants. I've dined in several of their establishments and have had delivery from several more. Last night we wanted pizza and luckily enough there's a Round Table across the street from our hotel. I was lazy and had them deliver. Around $60+ for an extra large combo (I added extra cheese & black olives), and I also ordered 6 garlic twists. Again that total was for the food, taxes, delivery, and tip. Can't give the 5th star because that still is pretty expensive. But, I'd rather spend the $ on good pizza than spend ten bucks on the crappy franchise express joints. read more

Ordered a pick up from one of the motels across the street while working out of town upon walking in I was instantly told to put a mask on I said I have pick up and offerd to wait outside while they ran my card, he said if I don't have a mask they can't serve me, I then asked if they had one I could use, he repeated himself rudely, " you didn't here me, if you don't have a mask we can't serve you and told me to get out. Well never got my pizza, went to the kebab place wich was great. I've been coming to this pizza place every time my friend suggests it. I'm not a huge pizza eater but today I came into the Arcata Round table location. We were greeted immediately by a friendly employee named Billy. We ordered the lunch special which is all you can eat salad bar, pizza and bread twists. The salad was really fresh and many side options. I had 3 slices of pizza which were still piping hot and delicious. The dining area is really clean which is important to me. My son and I have been going to this round table at least once a week for a year but after tonight we will never go again. The place has always been seat yourself. Tonight it was full and my 7 year old son was tired from his school day. I told him to go sit down at the only open booth. Several minutes later the manager, Joseph, tried to kick him out of the booth. Now my son is American Indian and the customers he was trying to evict him for were not. This is either the worst customer service I have ever seen -- change the rules of open seating if you can evict a small child from a table -- or outright racism. As a single parent with a small child I have NEVER received any seating assistance from the employees here. In fact they usually take 20 minutes to clear our table. Pretty sure no people of color are welcome at this location. Will be reporting this to corporate and the us attorney on civil rights or the local DA. read more

Small pizza with no sauce and boneless chicken nuggets without sauce, both for my kids. He told his employees to make them both with sauce since I "filled out the order wrong". I went here only because I had a coupon for my kids completing the summer reading program with the local library. I then noticed the fine print that I had to buy a pizza of a certain size in order to get my son's free pizza. I was not happy about this because their pizza is expensive and not even my favorite. But I couldn't just forget about it, because we were already there and being on the spectrum my son would've flipped out if we had to leave suddenly without pizza. Upon entering for a dinner buffet, a woman was trying to prop the front door open because this place was HOT. That was a first warning sign that I shouldn't have ignored. Then I paid cash and got some salad and saw the pizza bar was pretty empty. So I waited and noticed the cashier who got my cash is slicing the fresh pizza (hope he washed his hands or a least wiped?) Another warning sign. Before I got to get my pizza, I saw this loco dude putting fresh pizza slices on his dirty plate (since he went back for seconds or third or more and didn't bother to get a fresh plate). The serving utensil touched his dirty plate. I also saw another man used his hand without bothering with utensil. Those were the last sign that I chose the wrong place to eat. We were camping at Patrick's Point when it started raining. Time for Plan B... We had seen the forecast and made reservations at a hotel in Arcata the day before it started raining. It started raining at 5:30 AM. The National Weather Service had forecast the rain would hold off and it would only be intermittent. They missed their forecast! It rained all day. We ended up spending the day in Ferndale. If you have never been to Ferndale, it is a great place to wonder in and out of the tourist shops. When we returned to the hotel, neither of us felt very adventurous, so we drove the embarrassingly short distance (a quarter mile) from the Howard Johnson's to the Round Table in the rain. It was a Friday night. We had eaten at the Eureka Round Table that Monday and found that you can get lonely eating in that restaurant. Not the case at the Arcata Round Table. The place was crowded but we were able to snag the last open table. I'm not sure why restaurants think having televisions is a great idea. I don't like it, but if you do, they have at least two of them. Fortunately, they either had the sound turned down or the ambient noise level was able to drown them out. Either way, the televisions were not obnoxious, just a nuisance. We had the usual: salad bar and a pizza. I love a good salad bar and Round Tables seem to have good ones, as did this one. Even though they were packed and seemed to be supplying most of Arcata with take-out pizzas. we didn't have to wait an inordinately long time for our pizza, which had been a concern of ours when we first walked through the door. The staff worked hard at making everyone happy. They even had someone go from table to table to take away plates and things and to ask if we needed anything. The food was typical for a Round Table, good but not great. The place was clean and if half the people had suddenly gotten up and walked out the door it would have been much more enjoyable, but that's not really the restaurant's fault. The noise level was loud but not so bad that we had trouble hearing each other. The good thing about the noise is that we didn't have to hear the televisions blaring. The service was not all that good for the price my husband and I had to pay for just one small pizza just to be burnt to a crisp! I like crispy foods, but that was uncalled for! We do not live in Arcata, CA, but we do live in California, about 2 hours away and we were there for appointments! We don't get out of town that often, but it seems like every time we do and we eat at the restaurants between Eureka and Arcata, we end up either sick to our stomachs, or the food is nasty or burnt! Disgusting AND worst service! If I could give this zero stars I would. First review ever but I felt it necessary after what I experienced, and working in food service I have a high tolerance for what I can stand. As a minority, I'm not one to quickly assume someone is discriminating against me but when we walked in there was no one waiting to place an order, and only one table seated. After we ordered 3 other groups came in (I don't understand how this is possible) the much larger group that came in after us got all their food well before we did, like after 10 minutes!!! We continued to wait. At least another 10 minutes passed and they finally called me up as my order was to go, and the woman grabbed my pizza from above the oven! WHY WAS IT SITTING THERE AND HOW LONG HAD IT BEEN THERE?! If it had been ready why hadn't they called us up? And no, I hadn't missed her calling me, I had been staring right at them the whole time confused by the ridiculous wait. THEN, I walk up to get my pizza and they had forgotten my hot wings. She apologized and said they would take about 3 minutes to fry. I said ok. They then took the ones that were already in the fryer, tossed them, and put them on the side for a large order they were still working on completing. Confused by why I might still be standing there, they asked me if I needed anything. "I'm still waiting on my 12 piece hot wings". "Oh! Sorry about that! They were mild right?". "No...they were hot". Get my wings a moment later and I open the box to realize they gave me boneless when I had asked for classic. I told them that was the worst service I've ever seen, told them the wait was ridiculous and they hadn't even given me the right wings. Not to mention this place is completely disgusting! The cashier Jordan would go from cashing to cutting pizzas while the other 6 "working" there just stood around looking confused.The pizza screens were being kept on the floor in pans! After reading previous reviews, DO NOT frequent this Round Table! 1 hour and 18 minutes after ordering; a call to the store revealed that they were 'having a rush, your order is just coming out of the oven' .... 20 minutes later there's a knock at the door. The pizza was lukewarm and the pasta congealed. When I asked for the Extra Parm that I ordered I was informed that RT was 'out of Parmesan' ... Not the driver, the store itself. When i asked for napkins, plates and a fork for the pasta, I was told they 'were out'. A -second- call to the store was met with indifference. Me and my husband are traveling and stopped in Arcata to sleep for the night before we continue our long journey again and we decided to get some pizza delivered because we were tooo exhausted to drive anymore and we were starving. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, cheesy breads and a salad. Cost us 44 bucks with delivery!! It was the most disgusting food ever the pizza was so greasy and had a sour taste to it the salad was so old it was mostly brown and the cheese sticks were more like bread with a bunch of grease barely any cheese me and my husband both had a slice and our stomach turned instantly.
