Jackleg work, simple fix, abjectly poor customer treatment…read more After buying thousands of dollars worth of Schonbek fixtures - a large center hall chandelier, two sconces, two ceiling domes, and two smaller bedroom chandeliers - from Cleveland Lighting, here is the response I got when I asked them to fix the problem shown in the attached pictures: "Unfortunately, we would have a service call fee of $95. As mentioned these are secured at the factory and I'm not sure how much of an adjustment can be made. I could have someone available this Thursday afternoon. Let me know if you wish to proceed." The sconce in the photos was installed improperly. It should have been repaired without hesitation without charge by the store. You can see from the photos the Cleveland Lighting rep's statement, "fixed at the factory," is an inaccurate cop out sent by someone who just did not give a crap. Asking for a service fee was inappropriate and indicative of the kind of people who run Cleveland Lighting. Find a different lighting store.

After ordering thousands of dollars of lights over a year ago, we found ONE lighting fixture that fit our needs better for our dining room in an another store. So, we asked to return a BRAND NEW, UNOPENED fixture in the box for a refund. They insisted on a 25% restocking fee. This is outrageous. This is just a way for them to make more money on their lighting fixtures for doing absolutely nothing. They could care less about building any customer good will for any future lighting purchases. They obviously care more about making a buck than pleasing their customers. Yes, it was stated there would be a restocking fee but seriously? 25% ?? You spend thousands on fixtures and there is no room for an exception at times? You can be sure that I will make sure that anyone that asks me about purchasing lighting fixtures I will tell them of the poor customer service and will steer them to another store. One that actually cares about their customers.

By that time I had already purchased another light so my home would be ready for the holidays. When I got the call I told him I would be canceling the order and would come in And get reimbursed for the order. When I arrived I was told that it was a special order and I now had to receive an in-store credit. How is it my fault that 7 to 10 days turned into 48? The owner didn't even have the decency to come and tell me. He made his poor customer service lady tell me I could not get my money back.
