What a lovely woman who works there. She was so nice, so patient with me and extremely accommodating. And the flowers? Just beautiful! I called the shop to get help with their online ordering process, in fact, I called the shop a few times regarding my order and they were really nice about it every time. I had just had a stressful experience with another florist in the bay area and being that I'm in Southern California and unable see the arrangement before it goes out, I was a little nervous about ordering. I wish I could remember her name but she was so nice and even though she had some of what I wanted in the arrangement, she was honest and helpful by suggesting that instead of doing the arrangement that day, which she could have easily done and Im sure it would have been lovely, that we send the arrangement out the following day after she receives her morning delivery so that the flowers would be "hydrated & fresh". I really appreciated that and since I wasn't in a hurry, I agreed. The flowers were delivered mid day and they were so pretty. My Dad immediately called me and sent pictures, he thought they were so beautiful and he even commented on the lovely vase. I was expecting a standard clear vase but they put the arrangement in a lovely gold trimmed one that complimented the beautiful arrangement. She also was able to fit my somewhat long message onto the card very nicely. This arrangement was so important to me because it was for my Dad who has just lost his little brother and I, my uncle, unexpectedly and tragically. The beautiful white roses with white lillies that will open up and bloom so beautifully is a wonderful and touching homage to my beloved Uncle and West Side Florist did an incredible job of being able to capture my feelings and be the messenger of my deepest sympathies and love for both my uncle and my dad. read more

I ordered a beautiful arrangement for my mother and paid a lot for it to look full and amazing! When I received the photo of the actual arrangement she received it's a joke.. nothing close to the photo. I make a point to utilize local florists when I'm sending flowers to someone. I don't want flowers arriving in a box. And while I appreciate flowers and florists and the work they perform, I do expect the recipient to receive the flowers that I actually ordered. I understand flowers are interchanged here and there due to availability, but if you're unable to make a bouquet offered on your website, then mark the product unavailable. I also placed my Mother's Day order well in advance so I could have been notified of any changes. My husband has used this florist in the past for flowers he has sent to me often. He called to have some flowers delivered to me on our wedding anniversary which happens to be NYE. The girl on the phone told him she would deliver them before noon (their message machine said they close at noon this day). When I got home from work, he asked if I had received anything at work and I said no. He then teared up and felt like crap because it looked as though he didn't remember our anniversary when he was told I would get the flowers before noon. I then called and left a message on the florist's machine requesting a refund. A girl called me back and said she was the one who delivered the flowers, that she called the office (which the call went to voice mail) and then left them with the only person left at the office. She said I would need to call back and talk to the manager on the 2nd of January! Our office closed early on NYE and there just happened to be someone in the office at 4:30 pm when a man brought the flowers. The office associate told him I was not there, and he left them anyways. We were closed the next day...so they sat in our office for a day and a half! I then called the florist again and left a message for Amy, the manager, to call me. That being said, however, the flowers were not delivered before 5 p.m. at my daughter's office so she did not receive the arrangement until the next day. For my daughter's birthday, I ordered some flowers from an online florist and after paying over $75, the delightful mostly-purple arrangement I saw on their website was delivered....2 days late (even though they promised me numerous times I was well within their 4-hour window for same-day-delivery)! And, the delightful arrangement turned out to be 3 white roses and a tiny bit of something purple in the middle...extremely frustrating!! Wow! What an amazing customer service experience! Well for starters the flowers I wanted we're on sale and with same day delivery, which I can honestly say I've never had happen! Then when I called to see if I could change the vase color from yellow to clear they didn't even hesitate. I was sending flowers to a friend that had recently lost her Mom and the bright yellow wasn't quite what I was going for. They completely understood. And even offered to put the vase in a vase box so it wouldn't tip over on the porch, as I had let them know that they weren't going to be home when the flowers were to be delivered and it was a windy day and I didn't want the vase to fall over. Later that day a woman named Amy called me from the flirist, to confirm the delivery of my flowers. Which I hadn't expected. I've sent flowers with other companies before and they never called after the delivery unless something went wrong. In the message she left, she mentioned so many details about my order, including the fact that (the vase looked a little empty with the arrangement I had ordered so they added more flowers. My fiance ordered me a bouquet of stargazer lilies and pink roses for our anniversary Sunday, and had them delivered Monday. He called and asked them to deliver it before 5pm and they didn't show up until almost 6pm that night. The manager herself delivered my bouquet, which was already wilting, brown, and dying when I received it, and she was rude, loud, and just overall unpleasant to deal with. The plastic stick that the card was on was stabbed through one of the flowers' stalks, and to get it out, I had to remove tons of tape from around the vase! They taped my flowers in, then taped even more all around the vase. I called about an hour ago to talk to the manager about it, and they were very unsympathetic, offering no condolences and acting as if they couldn't care less about what I had to say. I had to pay a little extra but for where she was going and getting them delivered same day it was worth the extra charge. Poor management and dishonest as well. Paid for a bouquet to be delivered to Mercy hospital on June 12th. Flowers were never delivered and the employee left the hospital without asking if the recipient moved rooms, which was clearly stated in the directions. Then got a call from management the NEXT DAY that flowers weren't delivered, why wait 24 hours to notify a paying customer? I'm home visiting for a death in the family and my work back in Las Vegas had flowers sent to me. Westside Florist dropped them off on the front porch in the 100 degree heat with no one home! When I finally got home to them they were wilted, had brown edges and were drooping heavily. I called the florist first thing today and they couldn't care less.
