Buyer beware! You need to do some serious research before purchasing anything at Appliance Direct because the staff is either not knowledgeable or not honest. Store was clean. Staff were friendly. The crappy part is that we came in asking for an electric stove with an air fry function and rapid boil. The stove they had us go with was supposed to have those functions, later found out that both functions are a gimmick on that particular model. Definitely feels like we were scammed. I was out of town for surgery and a friend let me know that my refrigerator had died. I was able to call and select a replacement on the phone. They were helpful and understanding of my circumstances. The icing on the cake was when they came to deliver. The gentlemen, Josh and Dontay, who came were met with stairs and a sliding door that was not in great working order and had to be removed. They were quick to help get the door rolling better than ever once it was put back after the old fridge was removed. They made sure everything was up and running and were polite and kind to the cat! We worked with Dylan and could not have asked for a better experience. Our fridge suddenly stopped working so we needed a new one immediately. We stopped by Appliances Direct to compare prices to other stores around town. Dylan was very helpful and not pushy at all - in fact he encouraged us look at other places for fridges to make sure we found one we liked. We ended up coming back to Appliances Direct and ordered a fridge a little bit after 3:00 in the afternoon. It was delivered just after 5:00 on the same day. No other stores could offer that! Buyer beware if you decide to purchase with this business. They supposedly provided me a new "upgraded" GE dishwasher during covid when the one I purchased was delayed over four months. That was two years ago and the user interface went out and the replacement went out a month later. Things happen -but I expected them to at least care when I stopped by to express my concern (thought they might offer to give GE feedback, do SOMETHING to demonstrate pride in their business and consumer). I was instead told, "They don't make them like they used to" so clearly not looking for loyalty, just a quick sale. I will never recommend this business to friends or family. I stumbled upon this place while scouting for all new appliances for my house. I was looking for a deal and I found one! I needed 4 of 5 major items and was prepared to shop around for a week but these guys had everything I needed at better prices than the big box stores plus the service was great. The whole experience was relatively painless. At first I was unsure because they didn't seem to have a lot of stuff but everything they did have was good and they had more than one smaller fridge which I needed. Installing the new stuff and taking away the old is not a problem and very reasonable. (They also offer service which I hope to not need.) Before I even walked in I felt happy about the covid sign in the front window- masks required. Go to the big stores first if you want but end up here and you'll see why I plunked m money down in the spot. read more

Can't beat customer service, efficiency and price.. Went to purchase washer and dryer around town and Home Depot was the best priced. They promised to get it to us within the week, then that got pushed back further and further. Came back to APPLIANCES DIRECT, and they not only got me my washer dryer set in three days, but the purchase price was exactly what we had paid at Home Depot. They just didn't upsell the attachments. Also, Bob and Tom were friendly, accommodating and very quick! (In and out on 15 minutes compared to 45-60 at Home Depot!) Don't always trust big box stores! read more

I will never buy from this company again. I bought my cooker in December 2019 and the oven stopped working 6 months later June 2020. No matter how much I contact them via phone or email between themselves and the 0800 Repair team no wants to take responsibility. I have had to feed my children on takeaways or out of the kindness of my neighbour use her oven to make food. I've tried everything and realise that I will not be either receiving my money back or a replacement cooker. I have a warranty that was made invalid due to them sending another repair company. So I am now out of pocket and have to replace my cooker again. Will never use there service again. Christmas is coming up and any money saved for gifts now has to go on getting a new cooker from a company that actually cares. NEVER AGAIN read more

Over the years, I have replaced my appliances one at a time through Appliances Direct. Their prices are excellent, and I have always received prompt and helpful service. They have name brands, and high quality products. At one time, my glass stove top cracked and it was still under warranty. They honored the warranty, and replaced the cracked top immediately. Seems they pick up older models and damaged stuff and sell as new, hoping you won't notice the flaws or check model numbers to see if they are recent models. His installers are really great and have always done a professional job. We are now ordering a dishwasher for our rental and he is being very helpful. Tom and Bob are honest, always professional, very knowledgeable, and bend over backwards to make sure you always walk away happy. I looked all around Redding when I renovated my home back in 2008, and found they had the best prices in town. im very picky, and they spend weeks, and many hours helping me find exactly what I was looking for. The most amazing attribute of these guys is the personalized service. Even 7 years later, they remember my name when i walked in the door, and helped me order a bunch of parts for my dishwasher after it was destroyed by thirsty rats. On top of all the help, they actually searched around the shop just to gave me a free brand new discharge hose that they had in their spare inventory. Called them yesterday about a washer I had purchased from them about 7 years ago that wouldn't agitate. The manager showed me a couple of machines, I picked the one I wanted, he waived the delivery fee for me and will be delivering my new washer in about an hour. Same day! I was looking for a range to install in our home before Christmas at a good price. I went to their showroom to see what they had. Although they didn't have what we wanted in stock, they told us they knew of a "local" place to get what we wanted, and that they would call me back that afternoon. I called them back (not the other way around as it should have been) just before close of business and they stated they didn't have an answer so they would call me back the next day. After not getting a call back the next day as promised, I called the following morning. I probably should have given up at that point, but they seemed so genuine in the showroom that I wanted to give them another shot. They told me that a truck was delivering items that afternoon and they would let me know if what I wanted was on that truck. I never got a call back from them letting me know either way. I never called them back. I decided to try Carmona's, certain it was too late to get what I wanted by Christmas. Not only did Carmona's give me what I wanted, they delivered and installed for free two days before Christmas, and they gave me a much better price than what Appliances Direct was offering. In fact, with the money I saved, I was also able to buy the washer I wanted as well. read more

We purchased a stove top from this dealer and they said it would be delivered in 4 days. We paid cash in full and were given the specs to cut our concrete counter tops for the installation. 7 days later still no appliance. 2 weeks later they tell us they don't have the LP conversion kit, (which according to the manufacturer ships with the appliance). Then they tell us it's on order and will take 2-3 more weeks. The owner finally comes in and tells us he will "call in a favor and have it in a couple of days, and he would call us back that day." Three days later we had to call him. Finally the conversion kit arrives and they install it and release the item to us fully knowing it was still missing a part. This whole ordeal began on March 10, 2012, and here we April 9 still no stove. They promised we'd have the part on Good friday. We had big plans all weekend at our home for Easter. We never heard from them on Friday. On Saturday we get a phone call from the sales rep telling us (we saved the recording) that it will be several more days and that's what we get when we buy a discounted floor model. We have been appalled at the lack of service, lack of professionalism, inability to take responsibility for their mistakes, and then, to top it off, the owner tells us that they are a Christian business and will not tolerate us coming into the store and complaining out load in front of their other customers. We cut out countertop to match the specs of this unit and now we are stuck waiting on them because no other unit fits the hole. Later when I went on line I found this particular product was discontinued, and we had no idea this was the case when we made the purchase. In fact the item had a "sold" tag on it and the sales person said, "Oh, the person who bought it isn't ready to install it so we'll sell it to you and deal with her later." Wow, how's that for a Christian business? Also what about "Let your yes be yes, and your no, no." Matt 5:37, that is a good business principle to live by, but this company has nothing but excuses. read more
