We bought a used refrigerator from these guys and had it delivered. It took a few days to see if the thing would work since it had been sitting outside for who knows how long. They delivered it and picked up our old refrigerator, which had died, but they didn't bother to plug the delivered refrigerator in to see if it worked. The guy who delivered it said if it didn't work they would come out and fix it. But they took all the shelves out of the refrigerator they delivered. Who does that? It was part of our purchase! When we called, the employee became aggressive and said they didn't guarantee anything. He said if we returned it they would resell it, and if we didn't return it they would say we stole it. In other words, they weren't willing to guarantee their product or refund us for a product that had missing parts from when we first purchased it. Is this how Redding does business? Unbelievable! My cousin Kathy bought a refrigerator from these crooks. It had 30 day warranty and it quit working on day 37. She paid $1800 and they came out and illegally put Freon in it as a bandaid which helped for 2 weeks. Carmonas came out and said the refrigerator was unrepairable for less than $2100. The owner refuses to do anything and she will need to take him to small claims court. In addition her floor was damaged and $600 of food wasted. You decide if you want to waste your money with these people that sell appliances with 40 day life spans. Three weeks ago I purchased a dryer for a little better than four hundred dollars.It came with a 30 day parts and labor warranty.It was delivered in the pouring rain uncovered.The gentleman brought it in my house and said that it got pretty wet from the rain and then was covered in snow by the time he arrived here and that I should wait couple days until it dries before use! To make a long story short, I had to hook it up ,the leg was broken from delivery I guess along with the lint catcher's wasn't like that when I paid for it!"It took several weeks and multiple phone call to the owner to come and fix it,which was never done correctly. He Jimmy riged a leg ,but I eventually got a lint catcher.I made him put the vent hose back on ,but when I looked at the dryer when he left the last time the whole dryer wobbled from side to side.The Owner is dishonest and the gentleman who delivers is extremely incapable of doing anything correctly.!!! read more

If I could give below one star I would. The owner of the shop was extremely rude on the phone. His delivery guy couldn't get the refrigerator in the house the first day and then said he would come the following morning... he didn't show up and when I called to see where he was the owner instantly started yelling and making rude comments. We like the washing machine we purchased BUT the guy that delivered it was hesitant to install it because of an irregular hookup. He said that after we installed it he would come and cart the old one away. And now, DAYS after my husband easily installed the washer, and 5 calls later, no one has come take the old washer as promised! So, I'd say the service is poor. !*Buyer Beware*! THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! We purchased a washer and dryer on April 15th. Our landlord had already checked out the voltage in the wash room and everything was set. We paid 536.25 for a used washer and dryer on Saturday they delivered them on Monday. The dryer immediately needed a cord replacement. We had to pick up the cord at the shop and we're told we had to make the switch ourselves due to them not wanting to be 'liable'. We had to purchase tools to switch out the cord because the screws were too tight. We replaced the cord and the dryer wouldn't work. My partner called the store to seek advice since the dryer was dead. As he tried to explain what happened after we switched out the cord, the man on the phone talked over him and acted as though he was lying. He wouldn't let my partner explain that the dryer was not working. I called to try to get through to someone and was given the same treatment. The man threw every excuse at me from no one wanting to work because of covid to personal deaths to it worked when we dropped it off, arguing and talking over me to the point where I said, 'we don't want to do business with you, please come and pick up your appliances.' The man called back yelling, "THAT ISNT HOW YOUR WARRANTY WORKS! IM COMING OUT THERE TO HAVE A LOOK!" I didn't want to do business with this shop after this exchange but my partner wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The man came over and spoke with my partner. Took the dryer back to the shop and brought it back after another following weekend. I came home that Monday from work and tried the appliances again, the dryer was now spinning but with no heat. Again, I call and tell them it is still not working. The man yells at me, IT WORKED WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!!' and that it must be the electric at the house. I told him I was done working with them because of him being so rude and belligerent. He yelled that he was sending someone with a different dryer. I stated again that I didn't want their appliances and to come get them. At this point I called my credit card company to dispute payment. The other man showed up with a different dryer. I stated to him that I did not want to do business with them after being treated so rudely by them and asked again for them to take their appliances. He slams the dryer he brought back into his truck and talks into his phone stating 'customer refuses replacement dryer' and drives off. Mind you, we have been at this over 2 weeks now and have yet to wash and dry a load of laundry. Eventually, our landlord came over to check things out and fixed the dryer for us. At that point I called the credit card company and released the payment, just wanting to be done with this awful situation. The credit card company stated all the shop owner had to do was to contact them. My partner emailed the shop with the information from our credit card company and their instructions (because calling them felt like subjecting ourselves to their abuse; we refused to get back on the phone with the angry men at this shop.) A couple days later, I got a call from my credit card company saying that they had a 'Lonnie' from the shop on the phone with them asking me to confirm that I would allow the charge. I confirmed. The end...?? Nope!! Yesterday, both my partner and myself received angry voice-mails from the angry men at this awful shop stating they are "going to sue us for nonpayment!' My partner just went down there to confront them in person. Also, the washer doesn't spin the water out except for on one setting. These men are horrible at customer services. I am beyond upset with our decision to make a purchase with this shop. No wonder one of them had a stroke and was complaining about it. When I went to pick up the cord originally, he was in the shop dropping F*@k bombs in front of me just because he didn't understand what the young man who was helping me was doing. It was the start of all this going south. Wish we never walked in that shop. read more

Delivery guy gets to our house, plugs in the new dryer and it doesn't even power on and is totally non-operational. We have an electrician out to confirm that there's nothing wrong. Delivery guy insists on bringing SAME dryer back to the house which once again DOES NOT EVEN TURN ON. He calls his manager who then brags that this is the Cadillac of dryers and that if he were in the market for a dryer it's the one he would have chosen himself, oh and also since it's already been purchased theres no refunds and they won't exchange it. Let's put it this way I bought a dryer and when I brought it home it didn't heat up so we brought it back they swapped it out for a more expensive one which I thought was a sweet deal... it worked for maybe a lil over 2 months and then the dryer started making a screaming sound... so then my husband had to fix it him self cause warranty was up and then 2 weeks later the motor or whatever makes the dryer spin and heat up completely broke.... A terrible place run by terrible people. If you like paying $400 an hour to these slimy meatheads then by all means take to broken appliance to them. This place will charge a minimum $150 no matter what to fix anything on your washer. I was never told this and if they had I would have run. I had the washer taken to them and was told that it could be a day or so when they could get to it. When the guy called me he said it would be $150 and that I needed a lid switch. I said OK but thought that was way out of line so I made a few calls. For this fix including the $40 part, I was quoted $80-100 from other repair shops. A fellow in Anderson said $80. I called right back to tell them not to fix it but was told it was already finished. My washer was fixed in less than 15 minutes. They charged me $400 an hour for labor and $50 for the part. I immediately went down to pick up my washer because I did not believe them . But sure enough it was fixed and the guy said it only took about 15 minutes. I gave this guy a piece on my mind for not telling me about their minimum $150 charge. As I was yelling at him for his sleazy way of doing business, his cowardly boss named Lonnie hid in his office and never came out. I was also told that if I did not like the price and did not want to pay that I could just leave the washer. I responded that that was probably how they got most of your inventory, by holding it hostage with exorbitant repair bills to innocent customers. Before I left I told the guy to take my $400 and hour labor charge and get his teeth fixed. When loading the machine into my Sons truck (he is a handyman) I told him if he charged $400 an hour he would only have to work 30 minutes a day. read more

This place is a complete JOKE!!! We paid $500 for a refrigerator and asked if everything worked. They assured us that it was in perfect working order and they had tested it. We got it all installed and waited for it to start producing ice. It never did. I called at least six times to talk to them about this since they offer a 60 day warranty. Each time when calling the asshole that answers the phone was completely rude and condescending to me and extremely disrespectful. He talked down to me like I was stupid. The refrigerator wasn't producing ice, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there's a problem. They sent the repair guy out to 'fix' it 4 times. After the forth time I called several times and they said they would come out again and never showed up or would return my calls when I left messages. This is also the point when it started leaking. Four months after purchasing this refrigerator the freezer section is the only part that works. Not the ice maker not the refrigerator door section. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! We got a washer from American Appliance. I wanted to go new. Long story short, other half got one here,cost more money than a new one. My complaint,it you could only do extra small loads because it only filled up with water a fourth of the way. We thought something was wrong with it, so they sent their repair guy out, he looked very shady,and was very rude,and arrogant.I almost didn't want to let him in the house.When America Appliance was contacted,they knew this. Ummm this won't work for a family. I feel it should be disclosed when someone is looking to buy. When we wanted our money back, they refused,and said they would only do a exchange. Came to replace our nice but dripping fridge with what they said was a NEW fridge, and brought in a piece of junk that was half the size, molded in between the glass, and completely stained and scratched. While trying to take out the "old" fridge, the delivery man Shawn spilled water all over the kitchen floor and put a decent dent in the doorway. He was unapologetic and rude the entire time. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!! We have bought 5, yes 5 appliances from here. We thought the first three were just cheap and it was our fault for buying cheap. Well, the first 2 appliances went out. The washer leaked water and finally spewed water all over the laundry room floor. The refrigerator didn't even hold cold air and all my food spoiled and we were getting sick. STUPIDLY we went back because the guy told us he had some appliances that were better, just a little more expensive but he had been through everything and went through everything with a fine tooth comb. We are still waiting for the grate for the refrigerator that they promised us so we don't look like rednecks and just now I found a HUGE puddle under my washer. Lonnie is the lowest forms of life, a real peach i have never been verbally assaulted by a business owner in my 40 year life until now. there warranty is crap they send out a used appliance without inspecting it. if it brakes they fix it for 30 days but will not exchange it. i have purchased many appliances over the last 10 years from them for various rental property. so here's the story, bought a washer had to go get the truck to get it home. showed up the next day and they LOST IT, yes lost it!!!! he spent a half hour looking for it. in the mean time he said they were all equally good and just pick another. we loaded it up and then he found the original one on the back of there truck. so i took the one that was in the we had loaded up already because i was not going to unload it and re-load it with a bad back. got it home plugged it in ran it with bleach flooded the garage and left the inside drum with gunk because it had not been ran in some time(no inspection from them). put it back in the truck and back it went. got there and was told it was me moving it with my truck and it was my fault (a new chevy duramax i think not). i asked if i could have the one i originally pick out and preceded to have a VERBAL ALTERCATION with the owner Lonnie. they fixed it and i reluctantly brought it home. we ran 3 loads of laundry then i heard what sounded like Huey helicopter flying close to the house (i was a firefighter for ten years) it was not helicopter it was the washer the motor coupler broke. so back in the truck it went. when i got there i was told that i had to leave it and again i asked to get a different one was told to talk to Lonnie again. now i have spent almost $60 in fuel to go back and forth. had to wait ten minutes before i could be VERBALLY ASSAULTED again. told him to give me a new coupler and he could stuff it. will be contacting better business bureau and filling a complaint. read more

They sell faulty appliances, are unprofessional and rude to paying customers, are unreliable and most times un reachable on the phone. I recently dealt with this company on 2 separate occasions. I bought my refrigerator there and it had quite a few problems. The ice maker did not work, and the refrigerator side didn't get get cold enough and all the food went bad. But, even worse than that, the sillanoid valve had a leak and every time I got water from the cup dispenser it was leaking at the back of the fridge on to the floor and proceeded to leak through my basement ceiling... I also had to deal with this company for my washer/dryer unit and it angers me just to talk about the ordeals I went through with this transaction. And i just found out that the washer has yet another problem and I was forced to deal with the incompetent workers at american appliance again! Do not go here for you appliances!!!!! i just dropped my washer that I only had for 2 weeks, the young man was very rude from the start, asked me "what did you do to it ?" I said just did a load of laundry, 6 towels not beach towels he said that I over loaded it,NOT THE CASE,!!!!! the man was RUDE beyond belief I was told to go there by several friends , NOT EVER AGAIN !!
