I sent out a Yelp request for quotes with a picture and a detailed description of the problem. 3 of or the 4 gas burners wouldn't light even though the electronic ignitor was trying to light the burners. I received several responses and I chose Grommesh Appliance. Jon was on time in the 2 hour window. He diagnosed the problem and fixed 3 out of the 4 gas range burners. The remaining burner needed a new electrode. He ordered it and came back to replace it. The whole bill was very reasonable. AWESOME service - Grommesh Appliance replied to my Yelp request to figure out why my dryer wasn't tumbling/heating, and Jonathan was here 2 days later to determine it was the belt, which needed to be ordered/replaced. While he was here, he cleaned out the lint that was not captured by our lint screen - both in the lint area AND in the main dryer mechanism. (see before and after photos!) There was a mix-up with the day/time of the dryer belt installation, which is the only reason why it's not "as good as it gets" - but otherwise it truly was a great experience and I highly recommend Jonathan and Grommesh Appliance. read more

Making an appointment with Grommesh Appliance was straightforward and easy to make. Their response time and honest analysis of the situation was much appreciated. He double checked that our refrigerator's compressor was still under warranty (thus saving us money!) by a national chain store, and offered to come back if things didn't work out. I asked Mr. Grommesh about our Whirlpool oven and advised that the part we had ordered from another supplier was the wrong one. He advised us of the correct part and we set up an appointment for him to do the work!!! The refrigerator repair was very poorly done and would have cost us more for a much delayed process caused by their inefficiencies!!! SO we had Grommesh Appliances clean up the shoddy job by the "big guys" as soon as he could. The repair was done well before the projected time by the chain repair folks. Not much to say, other than the visit was perfect. John was excellent! Appointment window was 11-1, he showed up at 12p. We had an intermittent problem that was, of course, not a problem when he arrived. ‍ but even still he took the time to take the appliance apart, do some testing and diagnostics, taught me about the unit works, cleaned some of the internal parts, and put it back together. For that, he charged the minimum cost of a visit, which was a very reasonable price. I felt pretty dumb, but Jonathan definitely did NOT add to that, which i appreciate. My dryer was not drying the clothes properly and had to get it fixed. It was 5 yrs old and this is the 1st time something failed. Reaching out and scheduling an appointment with Grommesh was pretty easy since they have an online system where you can look up the calendar and schedule a date / time that's convenient for you. You get a follow-up call from a human confirming the appointment as well. On the scheduled date, communication channels are still flowing. Arrival time is informed before they start and so you are ready. The job itself was at a frantic pace and the technician came ready with all the tools including shoe covers to wear inside the house.
