Despite being paid in full, communication and follow-through were a major concern. Multiple vendors contacted us directly with wedding-related questions because they had still not been contacted by the coordinator, even this close to the wedding. Meetings were disorganized, and one scheduled meeting was nearly canceled when we were notified just 10 minutes beforehand that it had been forgotten. We also had to create our own wedding-day timeline, and instead of feeling that the bride's wishes were being prioritized, we frequently heard what would be easier or more comfortable for the coordinator. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and hiring a coordinator should relieve that stress--not add to it. We ultimately lost confidence that the services we contracted and paid for would be provided. I'm sharing our experience so other couples can make an informed decision when choosing someone for such an important day.
