We recently had a wedding for 150 guests, and our vision was very detailed. We were looking for a very specific style of chair to complete our wedding setup. After finding **A Planned Affair**, my mother-in-law was able to meet with Marlene since we live out of town. From the very beginning, Marlene was incredibly helpful and offered us several different options. She had the **perfect chairs** we had been searching for! Marlene's customer service was truly top-notch. She communicated effectively, made sure everything was clearly understood, and was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Since we were coordinating our wedding from out of town, she made everything so easy, especially arranging the pickup and drop-off. We truly appreciate Marlene and all of her help in making this part of our wedding planning so stress-free. **We highly recommend A Planned Affair** to anyone looking for quality rentals and excellent customer service. Thank you, Marlene, for helping bring our vision to life! read more

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with this wedding coordinator and ultimately decided to cancel services just weeks before our daughter's wedding. Despite being paid in full, communication and follow-through were a major concern. Multiple vendors contacted us directly with wedding-related questions because they had still not been contacted by the coordinator, even this close to the wedding. Meetings were disorganized, and one scheduled meeting was nearly canceled when we were notified just 10 minutes beforehand that it had been forgotten. We also had to create our own wedding-day timeline, and instead of feeling that the bride's wishes were being prioritized, we frequently heard what would be easier or more comfortable for the coordinator. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and hiring a coordinator should relieve that stress--not add to it. We ultimately lost confidence that the services we contracted and paid for would be provided. I'm sharing our experience so other couples can make an informed decision when choosing someone for such an important day. read more

All their linens were clean and wonderful. I'm really happy we chose to go through them.

We booked table and chairs (9-tables) from A Planned Affair and had to cancel our reservation with over 2-months in advance notice and they would not refund my deposit or even a portion of it. I could understand if it was a larger amount but for 9-tables and 2-months advance I don't think that is very fair to the customer. read more

Marlene is absolutely amazing. She cares about her work, and she wants her product to make other people happy. If you want to work with someone friendly and passionate, Marlene is your girl! :) read more

We were long standing Snows customers for years and did not know what to expect with the change in ownership. No issue here, as Marlene and staff took wonderful care of us with our event. Old Snows customers we are in good hands with the change! read more

We used Redding Tents to furnish our outdoor wedding at a friend's farm. We're from out of town (about three hours away in Sonoma County), so we came a couple months before and reserved what we needed (tents, chairs, tables, dishes and silverware). We made adjustments about a week before according to our RSVPs. They delivered everything and set up the tents the day before. Everything went off perfectly. Since they are closed Sundays (and didn't charge us for it because of this fact) they came back and picked up everything on Monday, after my wife and I had already gone back home. It could've been a real nightmare for us having this all happen without us being around, but RT&E was professional, helpful, and took care of everything we needed. We could not be happier with the whole event. read more

Brenda and her staff at Tents and Events have been amazing to work with! I am an event and wedding planner and use them for almost every event I plan. They have consistently delivered on time, had great customer care and had the items I needed in stock. Super friendly and easy to work with! Heidi Marker, Redding CA read more

AMAZING, RELIABLE, PROMPT, AND THE BEST! My husband and I wed this past November and we cannot express how pleased we were with Marlene's planning and day of services! To begin with, she only had about three months to plan the entire thing. Being a Southern California native, it was really hard to let someone else take the reigns on our wedding day, but she has top of the line catering, florists and cake references. We took one trip to Redding before our big day and she lined up all of the meetings to fit our time frame. From the food to the flowers, they nailed it all! I could not stop hearing from family members that just absolutely loved the entire event! This was the first time either side of our family had experienced the work of a wedding planner, but it was an amazing experience. Given that most of my family was worried about the level of stress our wedding day would bring on (I was eight months pregnant), Marlene and her team took it all away! The day of our wedding, we were only asked two questions. They took care of the hard set up and tear down. All our family had to do was grab the bags that were clearly labeled "belongings" and we were on our way to bed! Seriously, do not look any further. A Planned Affair is definitely the way to go for your big day! read more

Being a new business owner myself of an event venue I want to surround myself with great vendors/partners. Event planning can be very stressful as you have to rely on the professionalism and expertise of others. How they perform reflects on us to make our clients day perfect. I strongly recommend Tents and Events to make you shine. We recently used them for a tent and heaters at our venue. Marlene the new owner, has a strong background in event planning and it shines through in her professionalism and great staff. On the day of event another vendor had sent us wrong tablecloths. Heather at T&E's went out of her way to help us get through this hitch within an hour. Pete and his team set up and took down the tent as/when promised and were great to work with. Meghan worked with my limited tent knowledge and helped me suggest the perfect one for our clients. Our client was very happy with everything. As I said, the success of a business comes from surrounding yourself with strong partners. I would recommend Tents and Events 1000%. read more

I rented table cloths for my wedding and one of them wasn't the right size and I only had ordered 6 table cloths. Can't even get a small order correct? My friend also ordered table cloths for her wedding and they only gave her half of them so she had to cut them all so they would cover all the tables on the day of her wedding. I would not recommend this place at all! read more

Terrible customer service. My event was on a Sunday and they gave us rectangle table clothes for round tables! They looked like table runners, it was terrible! We asked for a refund because we were unable to use the equipment and the manager was extremely rude and hard to work with. Would never rent from here again for a special event. read more

Just an update to let you know that they DID refund us our money after a few phone calls and a certified letter (which they refused to accept)! read more

Wonderful place to rent from! Ordered tables, chairs and linens for my sisters bridal shower! Added some last minute stuff on arrival and they were incredibly helpful! They loaded everything for me and were very quick and respectful. Megan was a huge help when ordering what I needed. Very polite and friendly and I never felt pressure to add anything! Thank you! read more

I rented a bunch of stuff for my wedding from here. They took very good care of me. Customer service was good and delivery was timely.

Redding Tents and Events are professional and knowledgable. They have always had the items I need. They are friendly and efficient. The best prices in town for rentals. read more

Do not rent from this company. There is nothing worse than finding out, on the day of your wedding that your table clothes do not match! We rented 7 table clothes. The color of the table clothes did not match and one cloth was too long. The owner, Brenda, refused to take responsibility for their mistake. I will never do business with this company again. read more

Rented dunk tank on the phone for the online price listed. We waited a hour when we picked it up so they could fix it which we did not mind. Returned it and got a receipt which was way over the online price. My husband talked to the manager who said "it was not her problem the online prices were old prices" so I called and talked to her and would have been fine with a I am sorry, but she said the same thing to me. She was rude. I asked her to leave a message for the owner Robbie to call me back. Well never received a call back. We were treated poorly enough for me to leave a review. Word of mouth is everything in this town and I will not be going to this business again. read more

Avoid this business! Reserved a dance floor for a wedding 6 months in advance - smaller size, nothing fancy- and the total was 500.00. Within a week we found the same dance floor through Geri and Fred's party rentals for 200.00. Despite canceling with tents and events within the week and 6th months in advance they kept 250.00 of ours. Not reasonable at all! Complete robbery!! We do not support thieves! :( read more

A huge Thank you to Tents & Events in Redding!! The linens for my daughter's wedding were beautiful! They were able to accommodate my last minute changes, and gave me spot on advice for the table sizes I would need for the event. Fantastic service from the first time I entered the store to the moment I returned everything! Friendly, helpful and they truly made things effortless for me! I couldn't have asked for better service! read more
