She made me feel comfortable and I was excited to work with her right off the bat! We shared personal stories of our wedding desires (she recently got married too) so it was nice to grow an extra bond together. She hooked me up and included her own table decorations and signage for the wedding so that was great to have an extra responsibility taken off my plate! I hired her for day-of coordination. She showed up with her husband, and I really liked being around the two of them! I barely had to spend any time explaining anything, she just took control over everything and made everything come to life! I'd say "made my vision come to life" but I never even really had a vision to begin with. She was able to just decorate everything beautifully and manage the chaos so I didn't have to lift a finger! Exactly what I wanted!! I stressed with alllll the pre-planning leading up to the day so that on the actual day, I could just be told when and where to be. Poor girl had to run back and forth a bunch (the ceremony was an 8 min walk to the reception/cocktail hour area) so that meant that not everything could run so smoothly/perfect but hey, what do I care? I showed up when I showed up (eek, late, *not her fault), and everything was just as I was told it would be: everyone seated, facing away from me, and ready for me to walk the aisle. My adorable ring bearer dog was also being looked over before it was her turn to prance on over with our rings around her neck. I don't think I saw Katie or Josh much at all throughout the whole day but everything looked so beautiful and even though the timeline got pushed back, I still got to enjoy everything I wanted out of my day. Mike was a big part of that. He worked well with me on the music selection before and during the dancing and he took requests from all the guests and we had a lot of people dancing all night who didn't want to leave. He worked great with our coordinator and all the transitions in our wedding went very smoothly. His emcee skills were excellent and he had charisma, excitement and confidence in his announcements. Note: If you are having a wedding, hire a coordinator, or designate a friend of family member with a well put together plan. Don't expect the DJ to be your wedding coordinator and then blame him for your own lack of preparedness like another review here did. Mike is highly detail oriented, which is very important for a wedding. It does mean he's going to ask you a lot of questions beforehand and make you aware of a lot of things you probably had no idea mattered, but they really do. You don't want to have some clown who doesn't know how things work and sells you on the illusion that this is an easy job and all you need to do is find the lowest bidder. Then they go and screw up something special like your toast because there's a bunch of people not paying attention and the sound is too low. Happens all the time when you skimp on your DJ. Take my advice, it's one of the most important days of your life. Pay for a DJ with a lot of experience and knows what they are doing. I'm really glad we went with Mike rather than try and save money by getting some kid or cheap DJ service.

I would not recommend Josh Cleveland and C&C Catering to anyone…read more We had a great tasting a few months before our wedding, at which Josh told us all about his culinary training and his experience catering high-end, elevated events. Even though his pricing was almost double our other options, we wanted to give our guests a great experience. Food was our number one priority at our wedding. We paid extra for a plated dinner. When our wedding day came Josh was at least an hour late to arrive and didn't bring adequate staff to execute food for a cocktail hour + a 2 course plated dinner for 50 (3 different proteins, 4 different sides, a vegetarian meal, and some kids meals). He was the only person in the kitchen before dinner, and there was only one server bringing food from the kitchen to 50 guests. Josh didn't serve our agreed upon menu, and the food preparation was poorly executed (think bagged vegetables tossed into boiling water, with little to no seasoning). Food trickled out of the kitchen, with some guests waiting at least an hour for their dinner. What I've described is just a subset of everything that went wrong. The bartending service that we hired through Josh and C&C also fell short. Josh deposited our check on our wedding day. After our wedding I let Josh know that we were not happy with his dinner service and he's made no effort to address our complaints. The whole experience was a black mark on our wedding day. We did not get what we paid for. Find a different caterer for your wedding.
