I saw an ad on Instagram for tasting tours of Westland and I'm so glad I did. It was $25 a person and you got to taste 5 whiskeys with a led tour through their facility. The tour guide explained their entire process from step 1 to the end. This was one of the best tours I have gone on in the Seattle area and would recommend it to others and visitors to the area. We even purchased a bottle of their flagship whiskey to take home to enjoy later.

Had a fun night at Westland they have a very interesting variety of whiskey. The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their product. Special shoutout to Phoebe who led a great tour.

What a stylish venue. They distill on site but also offer tours, tastings, and cocktails. Your was informative and very cool seeing the copper machinery. Service was friendly and personable.

I purchased the distillery tour, it was very cool and informative. Prior to the tour we were served flagship while we waited. Our tour guide was super nice and you could tell she was passionate about the craft! I thoroughly enjoyed it. We got to snell the different types of barley and see the process of making whiskey. I loved listening to the story of how Westland was developed and the pride they place in their city, mindfully aspiring to supply 100% locally. We got to taste four different whiskeys, my personal favorite being a single cask. Wish I could have taken a bottle but I flew into the city. I will say tho, their merch is expensive or else I would have scooped up a hoodie.

The value here is nuts. I went in for a distillery tour plus tasting. The tour kicks off with a taster of their flagship whiskey, already a great start. The tour itself is very informative, they let you take pictures of everything and take you through every part of the distillery. The tour guide lady was very kind, knowledgeable, and without even asking her, you can tell she lifts. Respect. The tasting at the end was amazing, all four pours were very tasty, and the single cast was the stand out. They're very informative without being snobby. The ambience is impressive. Everything is very clean and they just nail the aesthetic. I will say the merch is a little pricey. 90% of bars charge me well more than $25 for bottom shelf whiskey pours, so a distillery tour +5 whiskey pours for $25 is a steal. I could not recommend more.

Local pride that this Seattle, WA company placed third in the world for their Garryana Edition 8. Kudos to Westland Distillery! I decided to purchase it directly from the source and to be picked up in person (12/16/23). It was an exceptional splurge at $183.53. I appreciated the two brochures given to me. It allowed me to learn more about their product line. I was scheduled for a 12/23/23 pickup, but given the opportunity to pick it up earlier. The response was so great, they had to suspend onsite tastings to focus on retail sales and order pickups. Thankful for the adjacent parking lot and the efficient retail line. I am glad to have completed this on 12/21/23. I will have to return someday for a distillery production tour and/or a tasting flight.

Love visiting this distillery. The tour was cool and interactive with tastes and smells. Grabbing a few cocktails or flights never disappoint either! Everyone that works there seems happy and are always fun to chat with.

The bartend was so insightful and gave great suggestions! I loved the cocktail flight she suggested. I tried their old fashioned, highball, Seattle spice, and the cold brew cocktails. The portions sizes were pretty generous. My fiancé got their 10 year anniversary limited whiskey- holy cow was it amazing!! If you're a whiskey lover, or even just want to try it out- I reccomended making a visit

Westland Distillery hosts special tasting events on a regular basis. I haven't stopped by for a few years, however the attraction of a special whiskey tasting was too tempting to resist. 1) There is a City of Seattle parking lot next to the distillery. The machine was broken and wouldn't read credit cards. Not to worry! One hour street parking is available. In addition, free street parking is available on side streets in the surrounding neighborhood. 2) The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. 3) They have a very comfortable area to hang out and taste away. 4) Free Wi-Fi for guests. 5) Want to get an education in the art and science of whiskey-making? Come on by!

Landing in Seattle mid morning meant we needed to spend a few hours before our hotel room was ready. Fortunately the Westland Distillery is just a few minutes from the airport and great place to hang out and have some whiskey! Unlike most American Whiskey which uses Corn or Rye as their base grain, Westland uses a wide variety of malted barley in the style of Scotch to create their nectors. Located in an industrial area a few blocks south of T-Mobile Field and CenturyLink Field, Westland sits on a major road and is easy to find with lots of parking in the area. I describe it as a whiskey oasis in an unexpected place, step through the glass doors and you are greeted by a nice bar and sitting area which lets you look into their distilling and barrel room. Cocktails, flights, and small bites make it a great place to visit or meet friends. We opted for their flight which included their American Oak, Sherry Wood, Peated, and one of their special releases. All wonderful but what's even better is chatting with the staff as you sip and discuss what makes Westland so good. You can clearly hear the passion in their voices as discuss their process, the grains they use, the wood, etc. When one visits a distillery one must always look for distillery exclusives..and lucky me Westland not only has an exclusive but they let you fill, sign, and seal your own bottle. Cool factor +9! On the day I was visiting I filled my bottle (#111) from cask 2549 coming in at a full flavored cask strength of 120.2 proof. Doesn't get much better than that! Next time you are in Seattle and you have a taste for Single Malt Whiskey I would very much encourage you pay the fine folks at Westland a visit!

We stopped in for a visit and Paul took care of us, and I've got to say, he made the whole thing feel like we were getting a private tour from someone who lives and breathes the craft. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and answered every question we tossed his way without ever making it feel like a lecture. We ordered a couple of flights, and the best part was being able to mix and blend different whiskey styles ourselves. It wasn't just "sip and move on", we actually got to play with flavor, compare notes, and build our own combinations. That alone made the visit memorable, but the whiskey itself sealed the deal. Rich and full of character, every pour had something interesting to say. What we appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. We were given time to explore, talk through the flavors, enjoy the moment, and just be there. It's rare to find a place where the experience feels personal and unrushed, and Copperworks nailed it. If you're in Seattle and want something unique, educational, and delicious, visit here. Sit down, take your time, and let the whiskey do the talking.

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.
