I've been here quite a bit, mainly get delivery. My fiancé introduced me to this gem many months ago and we usually get it with his grandma. He left for USMC last week. Anyways, I ordered delivery about an hour and a half ago and not even 20 minutes later it said delivering. I waited for a good 15 minutes before going away from the door told my brother to let me know when the bell rings (I won't be in the house) I just a few minutes ago got a call and it was the driver saying he's here and I was like "wtf" and my brother said he didn't ring the bell or anything. I was just happy the food wasnt at another house. Delivery driver called me to say he's here so he could apologize rather than plopping the food and leaving. He said he's working alone today and apologized. Might I say he was in a panic. food is still warm-hot so I'm happy. Five stars for those wings! I always hesitate to order wings with sauce on them for delivery because they do tend to soften up, and then when you try to reheat them, the sauce burns, but I ordered them extra crispy, sauce on, and they were so good. The options for their wings are great. You can order different quantities and all flats if you want! I love that option! We also got a small cheese pizza which was really good. The crust was a little too thick for me but it was tasty and everyone else loved it. Fast and friendly delivery too. I have been here a lot of times years ago. I remember they used to have amazing pizza. I guess back then my expectations weren't high. But their pizza was amazing. Fast Forward 11years. I went there yesterday for a quick bite. I got vegetarian and Broccoli cheese slices. There was no taste whatsoever. I couldn't taste anything, felt like eating flour. It seems as if they get a frozen bag of broccoli and just throw it on the pizza. Everything seemed stale. Even the olives on the pizza. If you are having a good time, went out drinking etc. you can go with this food. But any pizza lovers out there. I would suggest go somewhere else in Albany, unless they drastically improve their quality of pizza. I mean they can at least add salt to their food. Take my advice. Do not order from these pizzeria. My delivery peron was very nice and apologetic for this delivery. Here is why 1. I ordered red flake and Parmesan packets. She was told they "were out of them". 2. I also ordered a side of pizza sauce or marinara and told them I would pay extra if needed. 3. No utensils or paper towels! 4. The pizza has grease, literally grease sitting on it. 5. I called up the restaurant, requested to speak to the manager. His exact words were "There is nothing I can do for you". Pizza Bella in Westgate plaza is a great little place to stop in for a slice or enjoy their hot & cold food bars for just $8.99. I ordered a 12" pizza with vegan cheese olives, and artichoke hearts. Other than vegetable there are no other vegan options but thats ok. I included pictures of my visit including the buffet. The prepared pizza looks good and the staff is friendly. If you check-in there is a coupon to claim one slice for free. The coupon comes up every check-in but I haven't utilized it because there were no vegan slices available. The menu lists vegan dessert is available but I didn't see any. Overall, a good experience and I definately recommend for dining in, take out, or delivery. They stay open very late. read more

Manager wanted me to return pizza and pick up the correct pizza that was sitting for 35 minutes. By the time I got there the pizza would have been an hour old. I asked for a refund was told he would take off 50% off next order. I also asked if he could deliver he said no. I've had Pizza Bella's pizza a couple of times now, and it rates about three-and-a-half stars in my book, I'd say. I do like the kind they make, with the thickish, softish crust. My main complaint against the pizza is that it's not very flavorful. My favorite pizza has just extra cheese and mushrooms, so unless the cheese and sauce (and shroomies, I guess) are particularly flavorful, the pie can turn out kind of bland...and Pizza Bella's does. Then again, I've had a couple of their other varieties in the past and those were bland too. However, I discovered last night (Thanksgiving, when my favorite pizza place, Pizza Express on Western Ave., was closed - silly them: driving for DoorDash has taught me that pizza is an extremely popular Thanksgiving dinner)...I discovered last night, I say, that simply adding some salt made the pizza sit right up and ask to be eaten. So now I know: when for some reason I can't get a pie from Pizza Express, I can make do with one from Pizza Bella and my salt grinder. Oh yes, one other slightly disappointing quirk of the pie I got last night was that I seem to have gotten the extra cheese I ordered, but most of it was centered on the pie and things became quite a bit less cheesy as I ventured out closer to the pizza bones. When there's enough cheese and sauce right next to the bones, I'll often roll up the last bit of the slice to get the cheese and sauce all over the bones and then gobble 'em up...kind of like a tiny calzone (or something). That wasn't happening with this pie. The bones went in the trash. TL;DR: Not my favorite pizza in Albany, but much better than some other places (why anybody ever orders pizza from Pizzaroni I'll never know) and adding a little salt brings it into quite respectable territory. read more

The best thing about Pizza Bella is they deliver until 4am. Therefore, when I found myself starving after a (very) late gathering, I placed an order. The sizes were small (very small medium pizza, 6 pc wing), and expensive, but I had fresh, hot food delivered to my house at 3:15am, so that's what you get. It also came in less time than projected, so that is even better. The pizzas are average, nice thin crust, chewy, but unremarkable flavor wise. I got the white broccoli pizza (my favorite) and I found it to be a little bland and on the dry side. Could have used more garlic, oil, anything? The medium pizza was shockingly small, but I was only feeding myself. The wings were disappointing. The order was only 6pcs, which was very odd. The medium sauce was the goopy kind that reminds me of ketchup, not the buttery sauce I love. The wings were pretty scrawny, decently crispy. I would skip them next time. This place isn't bad, especially if you're up late and hungry. Would recommend at 3am, not so much at 3pm when other places are open. read more

My favorite spot to order Italian food in Albany. Their portion size is generous and their prices are very affordable. I always order the Chicken Parm dinner with ziti - this is my dinner for the night and lunch for the next day. It also comes with a tasty toasted garlic bread. I also order the Mozzarella and Ricotta calzone. Their calzones are cheesy and very big so it is enough for two people or two meals. They do get a little busy around dinner time so order ahead of time so that you don't have to wait too long to get your food. read more

Surprisingly good for an inauspicious location inside the crumbling Westgate plaza. I can see why Meredith S. loves this place. It's a tasty pie, and the pick-up large cheese special is an incredible value. Stylistically, the pizza is a little off from my ideal. I do prefer thinner, crispier crust and even a bit less cheese. But every element of Westgate Pizza's pie worked hard, and worked well together. The only thing working against it was time. We were quoted 20 minutes to pick up the pizza. We showed up at 18, and the pizza had yet to go in the oven. We were told an additional 7. Hardly seems like enough time to properly make a pizza. When we got it home, the pizza felt a bit underdone. Apparently this one night the shop was extraordinarily busy. Certainly we'll give them another chance. Maybe this blond pizza was just a fluke. Would love nothing more than to give them a fourth star. Wings were nothing out of the ordinary. But for my money, that is perfect. I appreciated how saucy they were.
