Absolutely one of my new favorite lunch spots in Albany. The food is so fresh and delicious! The staff is extremely friendly! The menu is excellent! The decor is quirky! Parking is easy! My chicken pot pie was hot, filled with chicken and yumminess! My salad and homemade blue cheese dressing was a perfect combination for my pie. Spent the night in Albany and this was in walking distance. So glad I chose to eat here! Ordered the hearty Casserola with chorizo and gouda along with an amazing turkey cream soup and a couple desserts. There are Ecuadorian chocolate bars for sale so I went for the jamaica flavored bar since I haven't seen one of those before. Also got a magic bar (very sweet PB & Chocolate). Both the owners were helpful when I asked for recommendations and double checked everything with me. The patrons were helpful too and I felt right at home with the little bit of small talk. I found Fresh N' Pressed on Google Maps while looking for a nearby breakfast restaurant which was actually open on a Monday. The menu looked good, it was nearby, and I could order online; I placed my order via Delivery.com There was one patron waiting ahead of me as the woman behind the counter buzzed around the open kitchen completing their order. When it was my turn, I explained I had a take-out order. There was a bit of a mix-up as my order didn't get delivered electronically to them. The woman was extremely apologetic (needlessly so), took my order and cooked my omelettes in record time. I asked to make a couple of substitutions and she had no problem accomodating me. They were insistent in telling me I should call in my future orders which I will gladly do so. The food was delicious and hot. They also had some great-looking bagels and breads and the quiches looked amazing. My breakfast omelette included pepper-jack cheese, spinach, roasted onions, and sausage. They graciously substituted tomatoes and avocado in place of their traditional home fries and toast. We'll soon to become regulars at Fresh N' Pressed. You should give them a try as well! read more

I've been having to go to Albany Med a lot lately, so this has turned into my go-to spot to grab something to eat on my walk home. It's a quirky little cafe with the kindest, warmest service around -- the kind of place where they remember what you ordered the last time you came in. Everything comes out mouth-burningly hot and fresh, prices are reasonable, and the food is flavorful and nicely-presented. Sufferers of severe post-appointment hanger should definitely order the huge and delicious wake up wrap. read more

Sorry other places of Albany- this is my favorite spot in this city. The people who run this place - Dina and Jamie - are an amazing team. Dina has always been so friendly and so genuine. Jamie is so solid, and when he speaks, it comes from his heart. I love their food. I always get a BLT on a croissant when I go there, and their sweets are made with love and care. I highly recommend this place!!! They're doing a lot, provide quality, and they deserve your patronage, respect, and your investment. read more

The counter service is warm and friendly, always generous. It's small and rustic, but also the best place for lunch in downtown. IMHO. read more

I was in Albany unexpectedly for a week. I had never really looked at food options in that area but I really like to try and find fun health lunch places when I am away from home. I read the other reviews for this place and now that I have been a few times, I can attest to the fact that they are so spot on. It is a funky and homey cafe with really delicious, fresh, healthy homemade food. You can really tell that the owners care so much about the quality of their food and about their customers. We had some really delicious homemade soup that was so comforting during the cold weather. The vibe is so welcoming and it felt like I could have been at a friend's house for lunch. If I am back in Albany I will definitely be having all of my lunches there! read more
