Amazing beer. Peniminal tasting room at brewery. Friendly staff. What's not to like? This place is KING OF GOSE style beer. That is a sour beer with hint of saltiness. You either love gose or hate it. They offer many varieties of gose and I love them all. Mexican Cake is best chocolate stout with hot chillies that I have ever had. Extremely well balanced. They have multiple varieties. Original is superb. Antigua is a blend of their 2014-2020 Mexican cakes blanded together and is the best version in my opinion. The Tennessee Whiskey version is a bit too hot in alcohol. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop for a drink.

Mac approved brewery! we loved the outdoor area where we could bring our door and chill. We've always loved Westbrook beers (distributed locally) so no surprise we loved all the extra options on tap. I was a big fan of the blueberry pie sour. Only nit was food / snack options. The food truck cancelled on them the day we were there

    $10 for 4 7 oz pours, can't beat it!

I stopped by here after dinner on Valentine's Day about 30 mins before closing. The ladies behind the bar were so friendly and welcoming. Since I like to try different beers, I decided on the flight, which was only $10 for 4 7 oz pours. To me, that was a winning deal! I decided on all 4 of the higher ABV stouts and loved them all! The beers were great, the ambiance was great and the staff was so friendly, even considering the time! Overall great experience! I grabbed some of the S'mores to-go and a couple of Crowlers @ $3 (Valentine's Special) for the babysitter and left a Happy Camper! Such a great end to the night!

Excellent summertime drinking with this very fine light lager!

More craft beer adventuring! Always love doing it especially during warmer weather like so many other people like to do. Which makes tourist season such a bustling thing because the warm weather drives people to explore ! Speaking of warmer weather the beer we had from Westbrook was highly appropriate for the season. The Beer To Drink When It's Hot Outside an appropriately named lager provided the refreshing sensation we needed for such a warm day. The crispness and hint of lime was a very nice touch for summertime beer drinking!

They have tons of different options to choose from. The staff is helpful and friendly & will make recommendations based on what you like. Also the brewery itself is clean and nice vibes. White Thai is my go to. Absolutely one of my favorite breweries I've discovered in SC!

Westbrook Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina in December 2010. It was founded by husband and wife Edward and Morgan Westbrook. When the couple were dating in college, Morgan challenged Edward to begin home-brewing. The couple soon realized that they could make a lot of money if they sold their own beer... money that could pay for college tuition or bills. They decided to open their own brewery and picked Mount Pleasant as the location in order to be close to their families. At the time, the Greater Charleston area had very few breweries. Five months after opening the brewery, the Westbrooks got married and Edward brewed a special beer for the reception. That beer was "Mexican Cake": an Imperial Stout brewed with habaneros, cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa nibs. Today, Westbrook Brewing is one of the most renowned breweries in the Greater Charleston craft beer scene and "Mexican Cake" is their most sought after beer (now available every May as the brewery's anniversary beer). I recently visited Westbrook Brewing while I was on an East Coast Road Trip. My family and I were visiting our cousins who live in Summerville (right outside of Charleston). I was very excited because I've wanted to visit the area's brewery scene for years. I was familiar with Westbrook Brewing for their various collaborations with one of my favorite breweries: Evil Twin Brewing. I stopped by on a Thursday evening and was surprised to see that there was only a small handful of customers there. I pulled up a seat by the bar in their beautiful tasting room and ordered a flight of four different IPAs. My favorite was the "Fluffernutter Shake IPA" which tasted just like a fluffernutter sandwich! There were so many beers to taste, so I decided to order a second flight which consisted of "Triple Pineapple Shake IPA", "11th Anniversary Chocolate & Caramel Stout", and "Mexican Cake" (2022 & 2016 Vintages). Before leaving, I had to order a glass of "Tequila Barrel Aged Mexican Cake" (2016 Vintage). It was so strong but also so full of flavor. It was easily the best beer of the evening. I'm glad that I can finally cross Westbrook Brewing off my bucket list.

The beers at Westbrook fall into two categories: liquid malt, and liquid candy. A flight isn't cheap but the most economical way to go here. Service is just a 1-person counter. A bit echoey of a spot to hang out. Outdoor seating but not shaded, it's no beer garden.

I have always been a big fan of Westbrook, so I knew I needed to check out their taproom when I was in the area. When you pull up, it looks like the building/taproom is pretty large, and it is, however the area where you get your drinks and sit, is pretty small. However, there is alot of parking in the area. I did a flight and tried some of their delicious drinks. My favorite was the Rice Crispy one that literally gave you an aftertaste of rice crisps, and their pineapple triple IPA. They had various sours, IPA's, and really any time of beer you were looking for on tap, and had a great selection of drinks to go.

Big name brewery with constantly rotating taps! I do agree with other reviews that it would be nice to have some merchandise, and the service could be better. This brewery definitely has potential to be poppin. I've been here several times, and there's just something that's off or missing about the atmosphere/service. But! The beer is almost dependably great!

It's like being a kid and meeting Santa Claus, only to discover its some skinny dude in a beard. I enjoy their beers, but as a destination it's not the best space to enjoy the BEETUS. Small taproom for how much beer is produced and how far reaching their distribution is. I was expecting something larger, an experience. Sorta underwhelmed. Best part is the BEETUS bottle cellar for on-site consumption. The outdoor area is big and lit with cornhole. Dogs are allowed outdoors. Parking is tight.

Amarillo NE style...7 percent and 7 bucks per pint. Very little bitterness.

So we did a mini self-guided Chucktown brewery tour/crawl...13 breweries in 3 days. Charles Towne Fermentory on the west side of the city was my favorite if you were wondering at all, but that's likely because they're geared toward what I like (New England style unfiltered murky IPA's). Westbrook Brewing Co. was good, but fell just out of my top 5 as they didn't have any NE Style IPA's that day that loved me. Not a ton of parking here as lots of spots are taken up by employees. Large manufacturing/warehouse facility, with an appropriate sized tasting room. Good Wifi strempth and good a.c. too. Must haves down here in the tidal plain. Beers here ain't cheap, but they do have lots and lots to choose from. They brew a ton of beer here and lots and lots of variants of their well-known Mexican Cake. We tried several and really liked a collab stout beer they did with Evil Twin called OFMYD (they wouldn't tell us what this stands for) that rang the bell at 12.8 percent ABV and rocked my socks hard core. Really, really, really liked this stout. Most of their pints range from 5 to 8 dollars and you can easily expect at least a dozen home brews from which to choose. And yes, they do flights! Cheap flights. 4 tasters for $8.85 after the tax man. Score. Downer...blasting hip hop in the tap room. Not into that. I likes me the rock-n-rolla.

The beer selection is great. The taproom is very small. There is outdoor seating. They seem more into selling in big volume.

Do they have a patio so we can bring our pup?

Yes, there are tables outside the brewery. I remember a dog inside their brewery too. It's possible they allow dogs inside because they don't serve food. They have a food truck outside. It's a great brewery!! One of many in the area. Have… Read more

They have an inside bar with lots of activity and TVs. Inside the men's bathroom had two urinals and two basins. Also there is an outside bar with three TVs, one behind the bar and two in the covered entertainer's area. We sat outside so we walked to that outside bar with the friendly, efficient, effective server. We also ordered food, the Butcher's Burger and a set of single ribs with your choice of sauces. Unfortunately the ribs were overcooked and thus tough to bite off and then bit chewy. The burger was quite good, with cheese and sliced pork belly to upgrade any usual burger, but this meat was thick and also had slight bit of tomato jam. Other than the underwhelming, overdone preparation of the ribs, it was a good time for all as people came and went. IMPORTANTLY, on this date, they were selling cooked oysters in small groups ALL YOU CAN EAT (when's the last time you heard that?) for $30. The profit on the oysters is going to a Down's Syndrome support group. Excellent!

Great hotdogs, yummy sweet potato fries, delicious burgers- don't sleep on the pork belly BLT sliders! Everything I've ever eaten here has been great! I've only ever been on a game day, so I'm not sure if the flow is the same. But you order your beer/drinks and/or food at the bar or counter. Then they give you a number to head to your table. I look forward to many more good experiences here!
