I filled out the quote online and received a call from their logistics manager the same afternoon. We went through what my move involved in detail. She was great, thorough, funny, and a delight to speak with. Moving is stressful enough; it is so much easier when people care and choose to be helpful. She followed up with me the same day with a written quote and then again a couple days later to set my day and time. My move was initially scheduled for that winter storm and blizzard weekend. I got a call from the logistics manager again asking if I was okay rescheduling to the following weekend. Of course I didn't mind. Moving in the middle of a snowstorm sounded like a terrible idea to me too. On the morning of 20 March 2021, I was ready to get the show on the road! I made my way down to Denver to Public Storage to remove junk and prep the rest of my stuff for the movers. I got a call around 9:15 AM from the team to let me know they would be would meet me at the storage facility at 10 AM. They showed up at ten minutes early. They followed me to my unit and then discussed how they wanted to load the truck. I had already removed most of the boxes but all of the furniture and the extremely heavy boxes and crates were left for them. Good movers are a joy to behold. They got the rest of my belongings loaded onto the truck in 15 minutes. I drove ahead to my apartment to verify the spot for the truck and to open my apartment. They arrived about 15 minutes after I did. I showed the team lead the route to my apartment along with stairs and elevators. They organized my belongings and coordinated bringing them up. I sat and watched. It took them an hour and a half to get all of my stuff into my apartment. They even out of the kindness of their heads assembled my table and a couple of chairs for me. I signed all of the paperwork, paid them for their services which were excellent and the amount was totally reasonable, and they left me to my fully furnished apartment. The company followed up with me a few days later via email and phone call. I have nothing but the best things to say about Fischer Van Lines and their services! Thank you for one of the best moves I've ever had...and I move a lot!

The quality of the two gents who moved the furniture was great, not only in attitude, but in professionalism and care of moving the furniture. A+! The issue is the quoting from Jeff Fischer (the owner I believe). We spoke as well as had a number of text exchanges and based upon the convo and info exchanged via text, I hired Jeff expecting the cost of the move out/in would be a total of $640 (noted in text exchange). However, after the movers completed the work, I was presented with an invoice for $460 which reflected half of the total bill for move out/in. I paid the invoice and sent Jeff a text asking him to reread the text exchange and to call me so we could discuss/resolve. When we did speak, he insisted that the cost he quoted was for one way when the text and convo was clearly for the entire job. Why would I want a quote for a half a job?? Jeff stated that the invoice reflects what he said. That is true but the whole story is that I hired him based on the information we discussed and what is reflected in the text exchange. The invoice came after our convo and I should have read it carefully but did not as there was a clear understanding in my mind based upon the conversation and text exchanges. Jeff got very heated and accused me of saying he was liar/dishonest, etc. I did not. However, I did cancel the return visit of his crew to move the furniture back because he did nothing to try to resolve. He spent his time berating me and trying to show me how he was right and I was wrong. In closing, I would not recommend Fischer Van Lines for any work because of my experience with Jeff Fischer. If you do decide to consider his company, I strongly suggest that you make sure that invoice you receive after you think you have a mutual understanding is reviewed and is accurate to that understanding. That was my mistake.

They have since done nothing to repair the mirror and started to screen any calls from my wife and I if we called to try and get the mirror back. Today Don decided to scream at my wife over the phone after she called on a friend's phone to try and get an answer on where the mirror is and get it back. Absolutely terrible customer service and completely ridiculous to scream at a customer over your mistake. I would definitely encourage anyone thinking of using these guys to look elsewhere.

Their "truck" was a sizable trailer, not your typical moving truck. I had them move one bedroom's furniture, and living room/kitchen furniture, and it took about 3 hours, which is what I expected. I'd previously hired other movers who pressured me to wrap everything which takes time and money, but they also had dollies and could take large pieces of furniture down stairs so they may have been slightly more efficient. These guys were more careful with my furniture and may have been less efficient but were very hard workers. Hope this helps you decide to choose them!

The morning of the move, their truck unfortunately broke down, but they adapted quickly by using a trailer instead so the move could still happen as scheduled. Although it required two trips between Aurora and Thornton, they handled the situation well and got everything completed. I especially appreciated their willingness to partially disassemble my couch to fit it through a stairwell and doorway, then put it back together afterward. Overall, the team worked hard, stayed positive despite the unexpected issues, and got the job done for an affordable price.
