Fishing poles

Located off Nimitz Hwy is West Marine which is like going into a large home improvement center except they carry so many different items which involve items you would need for fishings, Boats, camping, cleaning supplies, footwear, clothes, coolers, thermos and parts to repairs. They have so many types and brands of fishing supplies and stock person was very helpful and friendly letting us know which brands are good! As you enter they have hand sanitizer everyone wore face mask and the cashier was very friendly and and took the time to ask if we had customers reward program with them and if not if we would like to join for free. Large parking lot right in front of the building.

This store is more than meets the eye. I thought it was just about boat parts but it has apparel, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and some essential every day carry or camping equipment. I don't have a boat nor do I fish but I needed a waterproof container for my keys for when I go boogieboarding. Since it's during the pandemic, West Marine has a good plan in place for conducting business. They will manually open their doors to inquire what you're looking for and will direct you to the aisle as soon as you answer. The sales people are friendly and super helpful. I wish I had more time to browse around because of their apparel as well as osprey bags. I did take the time to look at their stand-up paddle boards, which the pricing was reasonable to alittle steep but I'm guessing it's because of the material used to build the board. I did find a water proof container and also walked away with a cute hatchet that caught my eye. Why do I need a hatchet? I don't know but I'm pretty sure it will come in handy. Recommend: Absolutely (for water sports or outdoor activity equipment)

They were nice and helpful. The place is huge. So many open parking stalls it was hard to decide which to take.

Aunty's Ukay Ukay - Dry-fit shirt for $10

Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. I'm so happy to see Aunty Shirley again! She used to have a shop on Maunakea Street, next to Cindy's Lei Shop! She's so sweet, organized, efficient, and has a great memory! Now, she has two stalls (both sides of the aisle) at The Marketplace at City Square. Look for her at the end of the building, right before the restrooms! She offered to let me try on some dresses, but I will pass because the prices are so good! One piece is $7 and two pieces total $10! She also has 3 for $10 deals on t-shirts, golf shirts, and children's clothing! Take a look! You might find a vintage Tommy Bahama shirt for $12 or a Cooke Street Aloha Shirt for $10! Parking is free, so come on over!

It's a fashion statement…read more.. Aunty's Ukay Ukay is located in Marketplace at City Square and thanks to Nadine C she showed me that there's this place who had relocated from Chinatown and have found a new home here and you'd never know as it's primarily known to shop for groceries and other relatable items. You just need to walk all the way in the back by the restrooms (which I had no idea they had) and you can't miss her with racks of all types of clothings. A simple set up but the variety for both adults and kids from shirts to dresses I was quite impressed of the choices she has and the prices are just so hard to resist as what makes an outfit is how you present it and with values like this you'd be looking fabulous at a great price. Thank you!

It's been a while but it's still here…read more When a travel companion mentioned that he sought a particular T-shirt design, I immediately thought of this old-time business. We saw the listed address on Yelp and clicked the map to have it guide us here. When we arrived, the location differed from the listed address on the GPS so I called their number. A lady answered and told me that the company indeed moved but that she wasn't there being a Sunday. We agreed to meet Monday late morning or early afternoon. The GPS again led us to their old location so I called her again and she gave me directions. It's about a half mile from their original location. About six minutes later, we arrived a smaller parking lot and found a space there. The lady recognized me and greeted me with a smile. The layout is similar but the space is about a third of what it was at the original location. My friend shopped for shirts for his daughters and learned that one design was no longer being printed as the artist passed. Still, he was able to find shirts to bring home. In speaking with her, she is not there all the time so I highly recommend calling her to make an appointment or confirm when she is there. Thank you, Sophia, and very nice seeing you again.

Our friend had a request for specific t-shirts from Hawaii when we come over for our annual visits…read more We've never seen these designs at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and since we were there the day before, we did check but no luck. We went to the store at Colburn St. but the signage was not in front on the building as the store did not appear to be there anymore. I called the number and the lady said they had moved to 944 Akepo Lane, but she is currently away from the store and would be back in 30 minutes. The store was about five minutes away located in a similar warehouse building with parking in front. In about 15 minutes, the owner drove up with more shirts in the vehicle and she opened up the store. This location appears smaller, but the inventory was a little organized. T-shirts were folded and stacked on the perimeter and long sleeved were on racks. They also had kids clothing and dresses. I asked if she had current and past Chinese zodiac design t-shirts in x-large. She went to the section and pulled out all the ones she had since they were old designs. Prices ranged from $4 each to 3 for $10 to 4 for $20. After Face Timing my friend, we decided on the shirts he wanted. So we ended getting 5 vintage designs and 2 current design shirts for a total of $47. A great deal. If you're looking for souvenir or gift t-shirts, check out the T-Shirt Store.

I stopped by Stüssy Honolulu while walking along Kalākaua Avenue, and it is easily one of the…read morestandout streetwear stores in the Waikiki area. The brand has a long history in street culture, and this location reflects that identity with a clean and minimalist retail space focused entirely on the clothing. The store layout is simple and well organized, which makes it easy to browse through the collections. Racks feature a mix of graphic tees, hoodies, hats, and other staple pieces that the brand is known for. The designs maintain the classic Stüssy style that blends surf, skate, and street culture influences. One thing that makes this location interesting is the connection between the brand and Hawaii's surf culture. Stüssy originally emerged from surf roots in California, and seeing the brand represented in a place like Waikiki feels very fitting. The shop tends to attract both visitors and locals who are interested in streetwear and limited releases. The environment inside is relaxed and focused more on the clothing itself rather than flashy retail design. What stood out to me most was how the store maintains the authenticity of the Stüssy brand while fitting naturally into the Waikiki shopping scene. Overall, Stüssy Honolulu is a great stop if you are into streetwear or want to check out one of the well-known global brands located along Kalākaua Avenue.
