This is the actual short rib in my freezer. If you look at both, I got railroaded. I won't be returning here or recommending this place.

Let me start off my saying that I actually really like west end Grill. but today I did not have a great experience. I made this reservation with West End grille a week and a half before and didnt realize they closed at 5:30 pm. I wished they would have mentioned that when I spoke to someone to reserve. But I realize it was a gamble on Easter. The food was ok. Ive been here countless times and recommended this place to my friends who had never been there. But the food was so much better than before in my previous experience last year. The portion sizes and the prices did not match. The appetizer of calamari had more banana peppers than calamari. I ordered braised short rib with mashed potatoes and spinach. The 2 tiny sized short ribs I received were not worth the money I paid. I'm a chef, and sometimes I go out so I don't have to cook. the short ribs in the supermarket (market prices $30 bucks for 3 huge short ribs) is a reason I won't we back to this location.

Beautiful place, food came out fast, delicious. The nicest lady named Carrie served us and I am delighted to call her my friend (Written by Lily and Violet)!

Seafood Pappardelle
Thomas T.

Had a good previous visit and wanted just simple American food. Our waitress was great and was very attentive with our table. The dinner specials looked really good and the seafood pappardelle caught my eye. There was a good amount of shrimp and scallops, with some lobster. The sauce is great on this dish, get extra bread!

Steak tips with sweet potato fries & mashed. Side of espresso martini

West End Grill is always a hit with food and drinks. Steak and cheese egg rolls are so good. My go too is normally the chicken sandwich west end style (basically chicken cordon bleu - chicken cutlet with ham and cheese)! Occasionally I get the steak tips and that's always a great choice too. The atmosphere is a perfect balance, big sized bar and a lot of TVs so it's a nice place to catch a game :)

Protein shake...?

Chicken fingers are bomb french fries are mid and lemonade is too sweet and Shirley temple is too sweet and root beer just taste bad ngl and chocolate milk tastes like dog shit mixed with corn salsa and cat piss. Steak is definitely giving raw like I can still hear it mooing.. the hot dog bun was too crunchy like a tree branch and the weiner was too hard and it started spewing white juices and their icky sticky. Also this drink in the picture don't get it is nasty

Service was good. Food was bad. They had big screen tv's playing golf. Not my type of spot.

Stacked and ready to clear by us. Waited for a check for 10 minutes. 8 servers passed this stack.

Man, I'm hoping it was just an off night. Food was mediocre, Service was bad Pre bussed this and left it to clear. Eight servers passed this stack and still couldn't clear. Unacceptable

Statler Chicken

I enjoyed this place. Located close to highway 24 , this place is close enough to my home yet I still feel like I'm dinning in the city. The Statler chicken over a creamy parmesan risotto with pancetta and mushrooms, was so good. The wife wasn't a fan of the steak tips, she said they lacked flavor, which I can see by the photos. The service has always been really good and the ambiance is inviting.

Espresso Martini

Stopped by here for lunch after a 4-hour photography session for real estate nearby was seated in the booth area adjacent to the center bar with TVs overhead. Not too many people at this time frame but the ambiance had some nice lighting, although on the dimmer side but was still pleasant. Ordered their espresso martini, and while I compliment them for giving the rest of the mix, the composition was definitely leaning towards the more intense alcohol bite part of the spectrum, so wasn't as balanced as I would've liked. Since I'm typically a protein and veggies type of person, their lunch steak tips with vegetable du jour with a choice of potato called me that day. But upon its arrival, there was no potato, the steak tips were only five 1"-1 1/2" pieces (although cooked nicely) surrounded by root vegetables, which were carrots and green and yellow zucchini. For $21, I guess that's the expectation of the dish, even though that's the most expensive dish for lunch. My waitress was very nice and attentive, checking up on me every so often. If I'm around the area next time, I'll give this restaurant a second try and order other dishes off the menu to see if there's anything else that may change my mind about my current rating.

Steak Tips & Statler Chicken

I came here with my aunt on a Monday night and we really enjoyed our meals! She had the steak tips - she said it was a little salty but good. I had the Statler Chicken with risotto and it was delicious. I definitely plan on returning again for dinner!

Baked Stuffed Shrimp
Medgy R.

Stop by for a quick lunch without expecting much and to my surprise the food was pretty good and the drinks were delicious, we had the Casamigo Sidecar ($14), Baked Stuffed Shrimp ($25), Short Rib ($28.99) and a Whisky/scotch ($9.50). West end grill is definitely a restaurant to stop by for lunch or dinner.

Turkey club with Parmesan truffle fries

So I was in the area and googled "restaurants near me" and WEG came up on my search ! We were looking for a good lunch spot with onsite parking (because who likes parking on the street ? Not me.) The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking. When you walk in it's like you're in a different world, nice dark interior with a big bar and plenty of seating. The menu had everything from nachos to scallops. I ended up getting the Turkey club that was paired perfectly with truffle fries. I need to come back and try everything on the menu !

Nice bar !!!

I went for my graduation dinner, and they had a hand written card at the table waiting for me to wish me congratulations. To start, we had the focaccia bread to share and clam chowder, so delicious. Best clam chowder I've had, and it had whole clams in it. For mains, we had pasta bolognese, salmon, and the green apple chicken. The chicken was the juiciest I've ever had, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was so flavorful. The presentation was great as well. Vanessa was our server, and she was so kind, helpful, and attentive. After seeing another table get the oysters, we asked the restaurant manger, Dan, what they ordered. After explaining it to us, I told him I never had oysters so he gave us the appetizer for free to try! Everyone who worked there was bubbly and warm, genuinely some of the best service I've ever experienced. Everything was a 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!

The food was great, however I didn't love the cocktails. Food: - Roasted Oysters (10/10): so buttery, cheesy, delicious. Favorite item on the menu, if you're going you have to order!! - Clam Chowder (8.5/10) - Chinatown Dumplings (8/10): loved the kewpie mayo - 16oz Ribeye (8.5/10): Tender and flavorful! The mashed potatoes it came with were so good. - Apple crumble (6/10): Would skip this and go for something else. Overall, a great experience and we will be back for the roasted oysters!

We do not know Canton and were so glad we found this place! Ironically our mother was named Elsie. The hostess and server were very friendly and engaging and food was served promptly. I had the Chicken Parmesan which was a good portion and the sauce was amazing! But you're paying for the service and not having to cook and clean and worry about anything. I cane with a party of 5 and the restaurant was packed. The server was good but overworked; it took forever to finally get the check because after the meal he totally forgot about us for 15-20 minutes and disappeared. We ordered the seafood chowder (good but no lobster...? @ 15 a bowl?) and the fried rice balls with red sauce, they were filling and flavorful, and texturally pleasing. The seafood primavera was bland. The mussels were good and the sauce was quite delicious. The chicken parm was good.

Welcome to Braintree, Tavern in the Square!…read more What once was home to Friday's is now the renovated Tavern in the Square. I think we can all agree that Friday's was a dump and needed to go. I have been to several other Tavern in the Square and I am happy that they finally came to Braintree. With plenty of parking, depending on the time and day, this restaurant is clean, new, and is perfect for watching all kinds of sports. With great big TVs, excellent food and wonderful service, I believe Tavern in the Square will thrive here. We stopped in here for a quick lunch and had great service. I did make a reservation ahead of time, and I'm glad we did because by the time we were leaving it was really busy inside. I used to frequent this location when it was Fridays but it seems like they have a lot more room in this location compared to others and even have a patio from what I see. I only opted for a few appetizers as I wasn't too hungry Bang Bang broccoli - 4/10 could've been cooked longer and the sauce should be on the side, but it has some flavor. Maple gonchujang wings 9/10 These wings were really good and recommended by our waiter Madyson, and I'm so glad I got them. I do wish they were cooked well done as I had asked, and were just a bit smaller. (But that's my personal preference) Nachos with chicken 5/10 I feel like these might've been done before our other food because it was cold and barely had any chicken nor toppings. I did ask for additional toppings on the side which she brought quickly. I wanted a tequila based drink and she recommended a lemon drop with tequila, mango and guava juice and it was really good. Overall the experience was good, but the pricing is a little steep for the quality and quantity of the food. Madyson made the experience that much better as well, thank you.
