The Pharmacy staff is very kind and helpful. I was unable to get my special prescription at the big pharmacies, but they made it easy!

I love the West Concord Pharmacy. The aggravations that I had for years with the big chains went away when I began to switch my prescriptions (unfortunately, I have a lot of them) to WCP. I have become friendly with the staff and they are delightful people who consistently try to be helpful. When a problem is encountered, they go out of their way to straighten it out. I now purchase over-the-counter meds, personal care products, greeting cards and more at their store. I live in Maynard, not Somerville. I have been dealing with W. Concord Pharmacy and its family-owned chain of pharmacies since 2008 and consider them a critical element in my healthcare. I also used their compounding at W. Acton pharmacy for my beloved cat when she had cancer. I cannot recommend them enough. Example: On Friday, I went to an annual exam with one doctor, who doubled one of my RXs and sent it in. W. Concord called me to see if I knew my RX had been doubled, or was that an error. I told them that was right. This morning, W. Concord called again. They said they had received a new order for the original dosage. Which was right? They called the doctor to confirm. This is emblematic of the care an attention they give. I've had concerning episodes with every one of the chain pharmacies. We are lucky to have this family group available. They also deliver. This is not the first time I have given them a five-star rating. It may not be my last. But where else these days do you encounter this kind of service and care? read more

This is a great little neighborhood pharmacy, where customers are greeted by name. It's small but mighty--they seem to have everything! When I ran into trouble with a prescription and was getting different stories from my health insurance company and my doctor, the pharmacist took the time to help me navigate my options and find a solution. I've never been completely satisfied with the big chain pharmacies we've used in the past, so in moving to West Concord, we decided to try our local West Concord Pharmacy. The store is always well-stocked and clean, and the staff has been very friendly and pleasant. There is never a long wait to pick up my family's prescriptions. The reason I'm writing a review is because I walked in yesterday to pick up a prescription for a bad case of poison sumac (or oak?) around my ankles. Before leaving, I asked if a pharmacist could check the rash because it was red, swollen and oozing. Linda and Beth came out to look, and both were alarmed. Beth dropped what she was doing, and took about 20 minutes to clean and dress the wound with her own personal products. She specializes in wound care, and was very knowledgable about follow-up care. She suggested I fill the prescription for an antibiotic, which I did. I'm so grateful that Beth Gardner took such time and care with me. It is clear that she is very passionate about health and wellness. I don't typically write reviews, but I just couldn't believe the excellent customer service I received. read more

This is the nicest, most helpful and most folks you could hope to deal with when dealing with prescriptions, insurance limits, vaccinations, refill scheduling, not to mention first aid and other supplies. After CVS in Bedford MA refused to let me purchase an OTC product ( Arnica Gel) at the drive thru window and would not bring it out to car I called the West Concord Pharmacy. They could not have been nicer. They took my credit card payment over the phone, put the product aside with name on it and told me to just call when I arrived and they will bring it to my car. The whole interaction was was pleasant and efficient and I got the product I needed. I'm going up look into using them for my prescription as well. read more

I've been there twice and will not be back. Both times the cashiers were incredibly rude. The CVS on Sudbury Rd has nicer staff and cheaper prices. I wanted to support what I assume is a small local business, however, their customer service is so lacking I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

I needed help fitting my daughter with a cast cover, protective shoe for her cast, and crutches. I was absolutely thrilled with the kind and conscientious service that Beth provided. She went so far above and beyond the "call of duty." She let me take the boots outside to my daughter, to try on. She fully and clearly explained how to adjust and use the crutches. And she helped with choosing the right type of cast cover. She was just amazing. Every time I have shopped here, I am always impressed by the excellent service. read more

West Concord Pharmacy is a really nice neighborhood place. Everyone seems to know every customer, and that just adds to the atmosphere of excellent service and efficiency. I barely have to wait ten minutes for a refill after ordering it when I walk through the door, and there's a wide (if slightly pricy, due to the nature of the store) selection of OTC products that you can't find at chain competitors. West Concord Pharmacy is a *Real* pharmacy in the image of what might be called 'old fashioned'. They are far from old fashioned, though. This is not a convenience store with diplomas along the back wall to denote the presence of someone who has graduated from a pharmacy school but real people who know their customers and are ready to help when ever asked. Don't be fooled by other pill dispensers in the area. Come here and know that you will receive the best there is. read more

i went in with an issue with a prescription issue being that my doctor never sent it in. the pharmacist called my doctor while i was standing there and explained my problem. best service i have ever had and will continue to use this pharmacy despite having moved 30 minutes away. the ladies behind the counter had the interactions with the other customers. overall i am very impressed with the place. read more
