Worse than the DMV. Alarmingly unprofessional and rude. First time I can honestly say I would pay double to deal with an AI robot instead.

One star -- only because Yelp doesn't let you choose 0 stars. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Woefully understaffed and there seems to be a high turn-over rate (which indicates deeper problems). Consistently out of stock (and without notifying me) of auto-renew prescriptions, sometimes causing me to run out of the medication. The latest CVS f-up: I was prescribed an oral and a topical antibiotic for an abrasion that had become infected. I am diabetic and infections are a very serious matter. The doc called in the prescription to the 105 Main Street location. The oral med was in stock, but the topical was not. The pharmacist suggested that I come back in a week, as they were expecting to receive a shipment. Did you get that? They wanted me to WAIT A WEEK to get an antibiotic for an infection. Totally unacceptable. They somewhat reluctantly agreed to check other locations to see if it was in stock. The closest was in Framingham. I asked to have the pharmacist transfer the prescription to that location and was told the Framingham store would put it on hold for me and that a transfer wasn't necessary. Spoiler alert: it was necessary. I drove to Framingham and was told they had no information about this, had not put the medication aside, and had no way to access the prescription. By then, the Maynard pharmacy was closed and there was no way to have the two speak to sort this out. Not sure if it's incompetence, laziness, indifference to patient needs, or out-right malice, but this is a pharmacy to avoid. read more

My wife came over a minute before lunch started with a horrible toothache and they refused her medicine. My wife has no car and rode a bicycle to pick up medicine. Once again CVS can't keep up with its name. Went in got a vaccine on Friday for my child and put in an order to have a prescription that was on hold filled for Sunday. Came in Monday and not filled asked to have it filled for Tuesday. Tuesday comes, not filled. It's almost like they work to find ways to lose your business. Very unfriendly and unhappy staff that works behind the Pharmacy Counter at Sudbury MA store. They argued with me about using a Good RX prescription and said it was not applicable. They did NOT explain why... only after contacting Good RX did I learn that my prescription was for a "generic" not a "brand" name. They also were reticent to divulge the pharmacist's name because they knew I was going to fill a complaint with Good RX. Eventually one of the techs wrote his name down but her writing was totally illegible. In the future, I will be going to go to Sudbury Pharmacy (a non chain store) or CVS in Wayland. My neighbors and friends report that the CVS store in Wayland is cleaner and the pharmacy staff is much nicer and courteous to their customers. read more

Ive been to two different CVS pharmacies twice each to try and get my prescriptions and each time I've been with signs saying "low staff, drive through closed". I understand low staffing but each time I have walked in there has been either just the pharmacist or the pharmacist and a tech. This is to serve between 11 and 23 people in line. CVS pays absolute minimum and if they could, they would hire illegal immigrants at less to profit off our broken health system. If I could give them less than 1 store for being a corporate predator I would. Alas, I will switch To Walgreens. read more

I hate writing this review because from time to time, there is a pharmacy tech at this location who is pleasant and helpful. But after several years of experience, the pharmacists are consistently rude and dismissive. Any mistakes they make are your problem, not theirs with no urgency to correct it. Multiple people standing in line complaining that this is the last time they are using this pharmacy. Same for us. Switching all our Rx's to a different chain. In fairness, it appears that CVS dramatically under staffs the pharmacy. The smiling, helpful pharmacists you see in commercials are not at this location. read more

CVS just implemented a policy where you can no longer speak with a pharmacist by phone. You can only leave a voicemail. I repeat, you can ONLY leave a voicemail regarding your MEDICATION. This is so inappropriate. I have called CVS headquarters to complain and will next contact the Massachusetts Attorney General's office to let them know that this practice is happening. read more

2 stars is generous. I am not sure if the complaint I am making is the fault of the pharmacy staff, but the pharmacy simply does not answer the phone if you are a patient calling to consult with them. I think this may be because the CVS higher ups seem to have decided to drastically understaff the pharmacy. I always notice this when I am physically in a CVS in my area. I have noticed this for sometime now, and imagine it is due to the pandemic. Well, guess what CVS, the demand is still there if not more of it. Increase your staffing and do your job! read more

Their reputation is unfortunately deserved - absolutely the worst experience- the person administrating the shot was rude and difficult. I recommend that you avoid this location. Also the waiting chairs outside the vaccination area are 3 feet apart, not 6 as clearly posted on a sign. read more

Typical CVS. This one located in downtown Maynard. If you know where you are going, it can be pretty easy to get in and out of the parking lot. If you don't, then you will end up driving in circles on one way streets. Lines were ridiculously long. No service staff to be found. But on Feb 25, all VD merchandise was 75%off. They refuse to answer the phone. This is not "healthcare." I don't mean here and there; I mean anytime I have tried for the last 4 years.

I have used the CVS in Maynard since moving here in 1996. Up until about 3 years ago,it was a pretty decent pharmacy that was well staffed with friendly, competent staff. Fast forward to now,and I have attempted to refill a prescription that they claim is out of stock due to a manufacturer's shortage,when, in fact, it was a distribution issue. I requested that they transfer my prescription to the Walgreens in Acton,which they did after I physically went to the store because I couldn't get through on the phone,which is nothing new. Unfortunately, I am not able to continue to use Walgreens due to my insurance not covering any other pharmacy, but CVS, and I am not happy about it. Another example of the incompetence at CVS is,one of my other medication doses was increased 4 months ago, and I spoke to them to confirm that the new dose should be filled and to discontinue the previous dose. So what did they do? They filled BOTH doses and presented them to me at pick up. THREE SEPARATE TIMES! What if this was an elderly person who was easily confused? There is a very good possibility that they would not understand and take both doses,which could result in serious medical problems or death. The level of incompetence,terrible customer service, inconsistent stocking of medications, and overall handling of the pharmacy is disgraceful. I will be trying other locations (only because I have no other choice) and hope to never return to this dump. CVS does not care about their customers. read more

I had a booster shot at the Maynard location. Nothing was updated on the state end or my doctor's office. I wasted 1 hour trying to find out why nothing was updated, except for my "Covid 19 Record Card" which is false since no one has this info besides me. If I could give this location less than one star, I would the pharmacist is a narcissistic piece of shit. They treat their customers with absolute contempt. Medication is called in at 9 AM. It's not ready until 2:30 PM because doctors prescribe amoxicillin for people who don't need it and can wait. I have never waited LESS than 25 minutes for someone in the pharmacy to answer my phone call, and most of the time I end up hanging up after 30-45 minutes and drive over because it's faster than someone actually answering the phone. Or even worse, they will answer the phone AFTER I've waited nearly a half hour and then HANG UP. read more

This is for the CVS in Maynard. There should be a ZERO rating option because 1 star is being generous. NOBODY ever answers the phone. If you have a question on a script forget it you're on your own unless you want to drive down to the store and wait in line to ask a question. This is nothing new as it's been going on for over a year. It is crystal clear that CVS corporate condones this reckless behavior and thinks that it's too bad if you have a medical question to ask the pharmacist as that phone will not be answered. I called the front of the store and asked them what was going on and was told "they don't take phone calls"..... so you're own your own. There is rudeness and incompetence that I could speak to but that is second to a store that is too cheap to hire enough people to answer a phone. The pharmacists are good, but the service is terrible, and the woman who seems ALWAYS to be "helping" people is a horror. She's rude to everyone, and almost snarls when she asks and answers questions. I have never seen her smile. Lady - it's your job to get peoples scrips and ring them up. It's NOT your job to be nasty and rude. They should get another person as a front person for the pharmacy. Also, my MD sent an important scrip for me via the internet, for my asthma, and they keep saying they didn't get it. My MD has now sent it twice, to no avail. She's got to call it in, or I have to go to her office to pick up a hard copy of a scrip. It shouldn't be so hard. read more

I recently moved to Maynard and have been using this cvs Pharmacy. Almost all of the techs are great and the pharmacist that is there at night is really nice. I had filled a script on the cape and when it auto filled, it filled at the pharmacy previously used. They were really quick to get things sorted out for me. That being said, there is one older woman there who is extremely rude. Giving her my info seems like such a struggle. She treats the customers like we are an inconvenience. Huffs at every answer and throws your mile long receipt at you. Idk what she has going on in her life but maybe customer service isn't for her. read more

This is the worse CVS I have ever used. Starting outside the parking lot is tiny. 1/3 of it is handicap parking or minute clinic parking. Add the fact that in the winter they loose several more spots to snow piles & employees that freely admit that they park in the lot along with customers from the coffee shop across the street and I often find myself unable to find anywhere to park. There is a meatered town lot behind the store that too is often full. If you need to pick up an RX and choose to use the drive through allow yourself at least a half-hour if there is more than one car in front of you. Inside at the pharmacy is the same, horribly under staffed and never with more than one person working the counter, it's never a pleasant experience. They often don't have RX's ready, and often are out and never bother to tell you until you are out and just stood in line or drive through for half hour. They will however bombard your phone with constant reminders that your RX either needs to be refilled or is waiting to be picked up. If you're there for anything other than an RX you will find very high prices, a poor selection of products and usually just one open register up front with a line 6 or more deep. Sadly this store's only saving grace was they USE to have a policy of taking all store coupons even if expired. They stopped that about year ago so other than the fact that they are the only pharmacy in town there is no reason to shop here. Nevermind, getting a robo-call that a prescription is ready and appears online as ready but isn't, instead about waiting 2 and a half weeks for a needed medication. If I could do negatives I would! They never have the registers full staffed, the line is always at least 10 customers long, they give you the hardest time about controlled substances when they say they need a hard copy to fill unless the office has electronic subscribing rights and when the doctors office(who you have never had a problem with) says that they fax the hard copy b/c is it a controlled substance, the pharmacy won't fill unless it is sent electronically. They also never let you know when there is an issue so the day before you are about to have a procedure done they don't have your meds and you have to leave work to go get hard copies from your doctor to bring to them. The stress they put their clients through is ridiculous. Save your stress and time and go somewhere else. read more

Awful. Too many partial fills, which screws everything up, including but not limited to your prescriber. I have been filling a certain med from them for three years they had a full fill once in three years, then they make you wait more than 24 hours to get the rest. Go some where else. Plus the generics they use are so weak and cheaply made. Put wrong meds in my bottle had to throw them out. Very long wait time. read more
