Pharmacy staff is rude. If a prescription comes in from a doctor's office and the pharmacist has question, they should call the doctor's office. I understand how understaffed they are. after calling the pharmacy for a few days with no answer I had to go in. the app told me my prescription was ready but the cashier told me there was a problem and had to go to a different window. I waited till the same person came over and asked me the same question. again he's was just doing his job. was told me prescription was sent to a different pharmacy. they could not tell me where and suggested I call my doctor. I did and still no help. told me to call my insurance they also told me there was no problem. the irony here is its for antidepressants. I'll try again tomorrow but they are the only part of the equation that can fix this. I think it must go beyond the location. I really wish I could give this pharmacy 0 stars. They are beyond unhelpful. Like, unhelpful is two miles down the road, across the street and up the hill. Do not trust what they tell you about your health insurance and what it covers. They are routinely wrong--in addition to being slow and unfriendly. I have a complaint about CVS in general, and my local pharmacy in particular. Last Monday I had an appointment with one of my doctors (I will be non-specific as much as possible), who prescribed 2 medications. He sent them to my regular CVS. When I got home, I received notification that they had received my scrips, but that they were out of stock. I was given the choice between having it transferred from a CVS 17 miles away, to my pharmacy, or picking it up there. I should have chosen the latter! Assuming that it couldn't take too long to get it from 1/2 hour away, or less, I waited all the next day for notification that it was in stock, notification that never came. So the following day I called to inquire about the status of my prescription. I was told that not only didn't they have it, yet, but they couldn't tell me when they would get it! This is a medication to treat a severe condition. I want it ASAP, and they were taking their sweet time! So I asked to have my prescription transferred to the other pharmacy (this all on the phone the 3rd day), and the pharmacist/technician agreed to transfer my prescriptions to the other CVS. I assumed they would do it immediately, because I had indicated I was in a hurry to get it, it is simple enough to do, and when else would she do it? So 1/2 hour later I got into my car and drove to the other pharmacy, 17 miles away. I never suspected what happened next. I got there and asked for my prescriptions, as usual, only to learn that they didn't have them. Apparently the technician who made the promise to transfer my prescriptions had not done it! I had driven 34 miles round trip on a wild goose chase! So they got on the phone, but for at least 45 minutes, my local CVS was not answering their phone! I left after 45 minutes to go talk to them in person, since I was not able to contact them any other way. When I got there, I found that a call had come in, informing me that they had finally gotten through, and that my prescription was ready! This after I had JUST been there, and waited 45 minutes, without any guarantee that they would EVER answer their phone! So I went in and had a word with their manager. I did raise my voice, and I did demand that they take responsibility for their screw-up, e.g. by delivering my prescription. They refused. The truth is, they refused to take ANY substantive steps to fix what they broke. Now, that is not to say that I expected the corporate gorilla to show what in private life would be common courtesy. CVS wastes hours of my time, and many dollars of my money, jerking me around and dragging me through the wringer, and then refuses to take any responsibility for it, whatsoever. I might add that my other experiences with CVS, apart from buying stuff off the shelf, have also all been very irregular and usually faulty. CS is TERRIBLE. All I can say is that if you have any alternatives to CVS, I recommend that you use them. read more

The pharmacy employee was rude and provided incorrect info. My husband went into fill a script after I was in the ER all day. The pharmacy employee looked at my insurance card (Florida Blue PPO, this was in MA) and wouldn't even try to run it, she just said "we don't take out of state insurance." My insurance was just taken at the local Emergency Room and has been taken by 4 other doctors in the previous 2 weeks. However, she didn't even try so now I'll need to submit a claim. She is wrong, CVS does take this insurance. Additionally, my husband told her my address was wrong, for some reason it is an address from almost 20 years ago which is strange since I've used CVS many times since and my address is correct. She told him she was unable to update the address. Seems like she was just lazy to me. She has made CVS look worse than any CVS employee I've ever dealt with. read more

Very disappointed with this CVS. My daughter went to get Dayquil for me and she went in an uber. They asked her for ID my daughter pulled out a picture of her ID (21 year old) and they said "Your in America, you shouldn't be around without an ID". I never really had a problem with this pharmacy until recently. This is now the worst pharmacy ever and based on the recent reviews I'm not wrong. The doctor called in a prescription four times and they still after three days claim they don't have it. I have never had this happen before, and the pharmacy techs are beyond useless. Came in to print photos. The self serve photo kiosks were user friendly and even a technology impaired person (like myself) could easily figure out how to print photos. Considering it is 12 days post Christmas, there Christmas clearance was still only 50% off. And a minimal selection of VD goods. Lots of empty shelves in the seasonal aisles. Kelly at the check out was fast, friendly and efficient. I'm in Acton on a regular basis, so will definitely stop by if and when I need more photos. read more

For such a new pharmacy that moved into a gorgeous new building, I figured the reviews had to be absurdly incorrect. Plus, there is another CVS that is almost on the same road, so I figured some people may have inadvertently written a review on this listing for the other CVS. Anyway, I'm extremely disappointed with this store regarding the stocking of the store, layout of the parking lot, checkout lines, and the coupon machine. What I thought would be a two minute in and out trip to CVS ended up taking me fifteen minutes.... and was honestly, really annoying. First, entering this place is like a maze. The entrance and parking lot are behind the store, and the parking lot is consistently jam packed, busy, and a cluster of people attempting to park. Not an enjoyable scene. Second, entering the store, there was a line of eight people. It's a week before Christmas and you have three registers open, and a store full of people waiting to checkout and then go do more important things they need to. Seriously annoying. After I finished shopping the line had moved some and there was only about five people in line, but still ridiculous. Third, the coupon machine was out of paper or not working correctly and didn't feed me out my coupons. So I had to walk to the far other end of the store to get the much awaited coupons. Also inconvenient, but not really a shock... is this place run by clowns? Fourth, many empty shelves throughout the food section and the vitamin section. They are busy, but if this is a trend (and from the other reviews it seems so), then corporate (which is only about 45 minutes away) should know to send this CVS more inventory in certain departments. Running out of Dove Chocolate and Allergy relief is ridiculous. Had to stop another place to get it, which defeats even going to CVS in the first place. Honestly, not a pleasant place to shop and much more of an annoyance. While I haven't visited either, the Rite Aid on Route 62 and CVS on Great Road HAVE to be somewhat better. 2 stars. read more

The new location for this CVS is so irritating that it actually drove me to write a yelp review about a pharmacy. The entrance is behind the building and the parking lot is narrow and small, which is annoying the first time you go there and quickly graduates to unbearable. The slow-moving lines at the pharmacy and all the other over-the-counter drugs are all at the back of the store, behind what is essentially a mini mart. CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, when more than half of your store is a sunglass hut grocery store candy shop, you're not really a pharmacy. I recommend the Acton Pharmacy in West Acton. If I could give less than a star I would. While it's nice having a pharmacy that has great hours they are terrible at customer service. They have been out of my prescribed medication for over a month and they tell me I am the one who has to take action and talk to my doctor to change the prescription. HEY CVS - THIS IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY. If you have this Rx available at another store how about you actually try and make someones life easier and get it sent to the store. Or if you are unwilling to do this why don't you just give the the equivalent in a smaller dosage? What happened to customer service. How hard is it for CVS to train their staff? This CVS is the worst (and, let's face it, no CVS is very good). Most cashiers are friendly and competent. I can say the same for at least two of the supervisors (the man with the salt and pepper hair and beard, and the tall younger woman with long light brown hair). There's one supervisor (Marcia) who is just plain rude! Another two who often work weekend nights really need some training. I Just read the Reviews for this pharmacy after three years of consistent dissapointment in this place and in one way im relieved that its not only me. That gives me hope that if i Look for a new pharmacy, me Experience will be better. This pharmacy is consistently (as in "on an almost monthly basis") out of stock of the perscription that my Doctor sends electronically to be ready on the 20th of every month. In The past, (when perscriptions Were on paper) if this pharmacy was out-of-stock, i could Just take my prescription paper to a different pharmacy that Had it in stock. When My Doctor switched to electronic perscriptions, i thought this would be even better because the pharmacy would have more notice to have stock of a medication I planned to have filled since they would have at least a months notice to fill it. Im very on top of filing my prescription on time, to the point where I'll call ahead. But for the third time tonight, they notified me that they Were out of stock and that i would have to Wait 2 and a half days to get it in. I called my Doctor to try To resend the perscription electrtonically to another pharmacy that Had it n stock, but my Doctor could not do so due to a policy regarding controlled substances that would not allow her to. So basically, i have to Wait 2.5 days to get my medication. Meanwhile, i spoke to Two of their pharmacists (or techs) to Ask them what i could do in the future to prevent this from happening again (since This has happened twice already and my mental and physical well being depends on taking this medication regularly) and both essentially told me there was nothing I could do to prevent this from happening again. Basically, at any time in the future unexpectedly, they could be out of a perscription that i Had scheduled to be picked up (even when notified Well in advance), and if they happened to be incompetent enough to not take proper inventory, I would be screwed again, and thats something I would have to deal with and accept. Well I'm sorry, I will not accept this treatment. There's is something I can do about this reoccurring problem, and it is finding a new more competent pharmacy and notifying as many people as possible of their disappointing and unacceptable service of customers/patients. Thank you to all previous reviewers for giving me hope that this is not a solution-less systemic problem that I "just have to accept," but in fact it's a pharmacy problem, and it can be solved by finding a different pharmacy :) read more

Be careful. The pharmacy here is the most incompetent one I have ever encountered. There are no visible checks and balances on the copious mistakes that I have witnessed pharmacy staff make. I know it's 24 hours and super-convenient but you need to double check every prescription carefully and call ahead to make sure they have it in stock if anything is time-sensitive. If they don't have it available, they will NOT call you to let you know. If you are refilling for pick up later, make sure to schedule refill for a few hours before you will be there, just in case. I should have stopped going there after the 1st dangerous mistake but it was too convenient for me so I just kept returning, despite the warning signs. Now, I am done. read more

I think that I am starting to develop blood pressure issues from the time I have to spend waiting in line here and the number of times my prescription has not been ready after I received a text saying that it would be. They have an incredibly loud, high-pitched beeping nose whenever the door opens at night. It makes it impossible to browse without getting a splitting headache. I feel bad for the employees, not only do they have to work the night shift, the beeping must make them go crazy.
