These guys are doing it right. Exactly what you hope for in a local business…read more I found DC through a Facebook group when I asked for computer repair rec's. Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

I cannot recommend DC Computers enough! I'm not tech-savvy at all, and in this industry, it's easy…read moreto feel overwhelmed or taken advantage of. Dan and his team immediately put my nerves at ease. I brought in the laptop I use for work, and Dan understood the priority level right away. Not only did they fix the issue faster than expected, but the cost was far lower than I had imagined. As someone who has a small business, seeing their attention to detail was inspiring, it actually makes me want to be a better expert in my own field! They treated me like a local because they are locals and residents who have been serving San Diego for 10 years. If you need a repair or a new computer, go see them. I'll definitely be back! Almost 6 years later after Dave saved me initially, my laptop overheated (96 degrees C !!!) severely / Shut-Down last weekend. I tore thru my old reviews and found him still going strong and in one call we set up a repair plan suspecting a fan failure. TODAY (5 days later including fan shipment) Dave opened my PC and noted a part label had detached & got caught in my fan --blocking its turning / CPU cooling. As we already had everything tore apart he put the new fan in anyway for optimal cooling -- CHEAP insurance against hardware melt-downs. All done in 90 minutes while I had coffee close by. In all, an unexpected service call from poor label adhesive, but Dave got me going again for a very reasonable price. Keep this Guy's number handy !!

All things come to an end, sadly. I've written two outstanding (2013-2015) reviews for Dave but…read morerecent experiences with him SUCK. I referred a friend to him; he sold her a MacBook which died within six months. I took my ASUS laptop to him recently for a virus. He quoted me $180. I ended up with no virus, a missing SD card, its space covered up with electrical tape (WHY, Dave?) My laptop now has Win 11, it is slow, can't connect to printer. I gave him $140 and explained my disappointment. I got the computer home and saw the missing card, and actually tried to use the machine rather than test it in my car (which is what you get to do with Dave, you meet him IN THE STREET). I reached out to Dave, who refused to help and said not to contact him anymore. I have been steadfast and loyal since 2013. Thanks, Dave (not...). Too slow to stream Netflix. Can't update Windows and all my documents are gone (my own fault for not keeping the bitlocker key, apparently). And as for Dave - there's a reason he does not want you to know where he lives.

Hail Cesar! My laptop screen was black and wouldn't respond. After trying to diagnose with AI and…read moreYouTube I called Dell and they wanted me to wait 1-2 days for them to send a box, then ship it to them in Texas! They said it would take from 7-14 business days to try to have it repaired and they had no idea how much it would cost (after the initial $59 fee). I had just paid for an expensive software rental for the month, are you kidding me???!!!! Luckily I found 24/7PcTech! Cesar called me within minutes, it was late Friday and all the other local repair places were closed until Monday. I took it over and he had it diagnosed and fixed in less than 1 hour! Dell told me not to take it anywhere locally. When Cesar opened up my computer he showed me the cheap parts they had used on my expensive laptop. He replaced the bad parts with high-quality ones. Now I'm just waiting on part 2, more parts to complete the repair. But it was good enough to use to get important work done over the weekend. Thanks Cesar!

Instead of repairing it, I was told it would be very expensive to replace the screen. The technician then offered me what he described as a "great" MacBook Pro if I paid an additional $350, and I agreed. When I got home, I charged the laptop. It made unusual noises, so I called him. He told me it was "just the fan" and not to worry. Shortly afterward, a low battery warning appeared. I asked if he could replace the battery, and he told me to go buy a new battery myself and bring it in for installation. Trying to get help became extremely frustrating. Several times he told me he wasn't available, even though he had previously implied he was available 24/7. I have text messages documenting all of these conversations. After finally finding a time that worked, I brought the laptop back. He later texted me that it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the laptop was turned off. He told me it simply needed to charge overnight. I took it home, but it wouldn't charge at all. When I contacted him again, he claimed the battery was probably bad and once again told me to buy another battery on my own and bring it back. At that point, I lost confidence and took the laptop to another technician for a second opinion. I was told that even with a bad battery, the computer should still show signs of life when connected to power. Instead, they found a motherboard failure, meaning the laptop was essentially nonfunctional and would never work without a major repair. I felt completely misled. Rather than standing behind what he sold me, he repeatedly shifted the responsibility and expense onto me. I have documentation of our text conversations and the sequence of events. I have since filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and reported the matter as suspected fraud. Please be extremely careful if you are considering doing business here. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this busines
