    These guys are doing it right. Exactly what you hope for in a local business…read more I found DC through a Facebook group when I asked for computer repair rec's. Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

Dan and his team immediately put my nerves at ease. I brought in the laptop I use for work, and Dan understood the priority level right away. Not only did they fix the issue faster than expected, but the cost was far lower than I had imagined. As someone who has a small business, seeing their attention to detail was inspiring, it actually makes me want to be a better expert in my own field! They treated me like a local because they are locals and residents who have been serving San Diego for 10 years. If you need a repair or a new computer, go see them. I'll definitely be back!     All things come to an end, sadly. I've written two outstanding (2013-2015) reviews for Dave but…read morerecent experiences with him SUCK. I referred a friend to him; he sold her a MacBook which died within six months. I took my ASUS laptop to him recently for a virus. He quoted me $180. I ended up with no virus, a missing SD card, its space covered up with electrical tape (WHY, Dave?) My laptop now has Win 11, it is slow, can't connect to printer. I gave him $140 and explained my disappointment. I got the computer home and saw the missing card, and actually tried to use the machine rather than test it in my car (which is what you get to do with Dave, you meet him IN THE STREET). I reached out to Dave, who refused to help and said not to contact him anymore. I have been steadfast and loyal since 2013. Thanks, Dave (not...). Too slow to stream Netflix. Can't update Windows and all my documents are gone (my own fault for not keeping the bitlocker key, apparently). And as for Dave - there's a reason he does not want you to know where he lives.

Almost 6 years later after Dave saved me initially, my laptop overheated (96 degrees C !!!) severely / Shut-Down last weekend. I tore thru my old reviews and found him still going strong and in one call we set up a repair plan suspecting a fan failure. TODAY (5 days later including fan shipment) Dave opened my PC and noted a part label had detached & got caught in my fan --blocking its turning / CPU cooling. As we already had everything tore apart he put the new fan in anyway for optimal cooling -- CHEAP insurance against hardware melt-downs. All done in 90 minutes while I had coffee close by. In all, an unexpected service call from poor label adhesive, but Dave got me going again for a very reasonable price. Keep this Guy's number handy !!

After changing the battery, he checked all the settings and tried to optimize them as much as possible. Finally, he even demonstrated how to clean the computer, explaining clearly what kind of cloth to use, what kind of detergent to use, and how much water to add. When I first brought my 2025 MacBook Air to him my concern was that the cursor would freeze for 15 - 30 seconds quite often, and the round balloon kept appearing and would not let me do anything on the computer also for 15 - 30 seconds throughout the day. Also, it just seemed slow when I tried to open a pages document. Maddening. I told him I know nothing about computers and that I wanted it to work the way it always had since I bought it. He told me he would have to reinstall the operating system. What do I know? I said sure. Even now while typing, the computer stops typing every so often and I have to wait about 15 - 30 seconds for my computer to catch up and print my words. Continuing with my sad tale of woe. I came back the next day and paid him $170. Unfortunately when I got home the computer was not the same. To start with my desktop did not have any of the documents I had saved to it and there were other problems. So I called him and I asked him why he returned my computer to me when it was not the same computer I brought into him. He said I could put everything back on the desktop and he started to rattle off what I needed to do. Ridiculous! I stopped him and reminded him that I said I was tech challenged and did not feel competent to do that. His response was for another $70. he would put my desktop back the way it was. Outrageous that he would half fix my computer, return it to me not the way I gave it to him and then he wanted to charge me more. So I foolishly paid him and the next day my desktop was what it used to be. However, there remained other problems such as my Passkey not working but decided, rather than call him, to call Apple support and they were able to resolve these several issues. Here it is 2 -3 weeks later and I am again having the same problems with the ball and the cursor freezing throughout the day. Also, my computer is being very slow to open my Pages documents. The very same problems he supposedly fixed when he reinstalled my operating system. For sure I will not let Mr. Chip touch my machine again but I will take it to a repair shop that I have used before. The only reason I didn't use them this time is they were backed up and said they couldn't get to my computer for at least 2 days. I should have shown patience and waited. My bad!
