My first time to a pick and pulll yard and I was really let down by this place…read more I got off work early to get there before they closed and even called ahead of time to confirm they had the vehicle I needed. They said they did. I show up, talked to the front desk and waited to talk to a rep. The old man I talked to had leather wrinkled skin with not one bit of enthusiasm or empathy for me explaining it was my first time. I saw him being short to the customer in front of me. Someone needs to get this grumpy guy out from behind the desk. Anyways, he tells me they don't have my Lexus Rx but apparently the part I needed was compatible on a Highlander. So he points me in the direction at the end of the lot to find the vehicle by myself. I knew better than to try my luck asking for someone to walk me out. I go, I look, I can't find the white Toyota he showed me a picture proving they had. I find another Highlander but it's not the same year, neither has the same part on it. I call the front desk to get a better understanding instead of walking back with all my tools to do so... they answer and put me on a 12 minute hold before I hung up the phone. I stand puzzled and soon find a lot forklift driver to help me out. Surprisingly he was very patient and helpful with my questions. That was a relief. He tells me the car I'm looking for isn't in the lot because it's new and needed to be staged. He tells me ten minutes but i waited in the location with the other highlanders thinking he would bring the new one to me in ten minutes. Well it took me 25 minutes to find him bring it in to the front of the lot. Again the caliper on the Toyota did not match the one on my Lexus and I wasn't going to risk paying for a part that is said to be compatible. What should have been a successful 1.5 hr trip turning into 3.5 hour let down. I don't like leaving reviews but because I've already wasted so much time what more is a deserving review of this place. Fix your front office! I will say this review probably won't matter because they do well from an operation standpoint by having a large lot and wide selection however I'm still going to be bitter, leave this review and try my luck with other places.

I responded with "okay" and was going to ask if I could put a part on hold to come pick it up or if it was a first-come-first-serve basis and I was hung up on before my sentence was over. Know that when you take your car here, it is likely sitting on a residential neighborhood street in the open and causing disruption to the surrounding neighborhood. After talking to management about issues of blocking the sidewalk repeatedly, making it inaccessible to pedestrians, they were immediately combatative. Please do not support this business.

They quickly diagnosed it as a fuel pump issue, and replace the fuel pump at a cost of $2,100. They were very friendly, but I did think the pricing for such a job was very high. The average cost for a fuel pump replacement is $1000. I paid it anyway. A few days later my vehicle died again on the road. I had it towed back to Village Auto Care. The manager called me and told me that the fuel pump they had replaced was a faulty part, it would need to be replaced again, but that it is under warranty. A couple of days later I hadn't heard anything, called them, and the manager told me they had ordered the part, but it hadn't come in. A couple of more days passed, I called, same story. A few more days pass, and they told me the part was ordered via UPS and probably lost in the mail. This went on for two weeks - a back and forth, and story about the supplier losing the part. I am unsure why the $50-$100 part wasn't reordered much sooner from a different supplier who would surely either have it on hand, or be able to source it in a day or two. Fast forward a total of 2 1/2 weeks since my vehicle was towed there (the second time), they finally get the part in (from a different supplier?) and fix the jeep. I asked for - at least - a partial refund because I know they have to pay their guys, but was told that was not a possibility. It is lost on me that any reputable business wouldn't at least think that a partial refund is necessary in this case. After almost a month of this deal - breaking down after they first repaired it, having to return due to a faulty part, taking 2 1/2 weeks to source a new part, and after paying $2100 in the first place - on a Jeep, a very common vehicle with parts that are easily accessible anywhere in the country. You can probably imagine the impact the loss of transportation to work for 2 1/2 weeks had on someone. It made life pretty difficult. I understand things happen, but in my opinion this situation warranted some accountability and meeting in the middle.

I purchased a maintenance plan that was good…read morefor oil changes through 75,000 miles, 72 months or until I reached the maximum number of intervals based on how often I brought my car in for an oil change. The plan I signed had a box checked for 7,500 service intervals and I never even noticed that. It was about 2 or 3 months ago when I received an oil change that they told me that it was about to expire and I only had one more on the plan based on the fact that I came in every 5,000 miles vs. the 7,500 miles noted on the plan. Needless to say I was very frustrated. The dealer places a sticker on my windshield every oil change, and I simply never noticed that they had the sticker set to print at 5,000 miles. I was initially of the belief that no one at Horizon was going to be able to help me out with this. I felt deceived. I was made aware by the service Manager Rob D. that I signed the plan and should have taken responsibility to ensure I was sticking to the details of the plan. He also took ownership of the fact that his service advisors clearly did not read the details of my plan to ensure that the stickers were printed at 7,500 miles vs. the 5,000. Rob took the time to explain to me the difference between getting my oil changed at the 5,000 mark vs. the 7,500 mark and it made total sense. I am indeed a city driver and it makes sense that I came in every 5K. It is frustrating that when I was sold the maintenance plan that I was not asked any questions pertaining to my driving habits as to ensure that I purchased a service plan that was right for me. At the end of the day Rob took care of me, he is sending me three oil change coupons to make up for everything. This is the second time in 4 years that I have had a frustrating experience with Horizon where they made every effort to make it right by me, and I appreciate that.
