I would say most of the time for at least the last decade whenever I order pizza after two slices, I feel super bloated and I need to take a nap. That was certainly not the case when I ate fireside. This caused me to do a bit more research and I found out the big difference is and how long they let the dough, I guess, rest so the enzymes and sugars can do their work. It goes to show paying a couple of extra bucks for quality makes a huge difference in your experience. Your stomach will thank you in the long run. I had the meats pizza and the pesto sauce was also exceptional. I don't care what kind of buy one get one free deal. I can get from any other joints in Cincinnati. I'm sticking with these guys in the future.

We had a bit of an issue in that we made the reservation over two weeks ago with the specific request to be seated away from the kitchen door, and we ended up being seated right near the very small hostess area and of course, next to the kitchen door. Our server mostly made up for it with good service and a very nice demeanor.

After receiving flat soda multiple times, we eventually had to ask for refills directly from the bar because that was the only way to get a drink that was actually carbonated. We ordered an appetizer, a pizza, and an Alfredo fettuccine with breadsticks and a salad with ranch. Our server was Marlo. The pizza came out a full 20 minutes before my niece's pasta. When her meal finally arrived, it was completely incorrect. Instead of what we ordered, Marlo brought chicken Alfredo fettuccine with garlic bread and a Caesar salad. My niece's entire order was wrong, and it had already taken 20 minutes longer than our food to arrive. After we pointed out the mistake, Marlo did bring out the correct pasta and breadsticks--but it took another 15 minutes. By that point, my mom and I had already finished eating. My niece was essentially left waiting for her meal while the rest of us ate. Then, when we received the check, we were charged for the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and an additional dollar for the Caesar salad, neither of which was what we ordered. Marlo did not come back to our table for quite some time, so I eventually went up to McKenzie to have the bill corrected. She fixed the charges without me explaining everything that had happened, which I admittedly should have done. What was most disappointing was that, despite the incorrect order, the significant delay, the repeated drink issues, and the fact that my niece didn't receive her correct meal until my mom and I were already finished eating, there was absolutely no attempt to acknowledge or compensate us for the experience. Instead, the only explanation we received from Marlo was that "everyone is new." While I understand that people can be new and mistakes happen, that doesn't excuse the overall lack of communication or the way the situation was handled. We left feeling both rushed and ignored, and the experience was unnecessarily frustrating. Mistakes happen in restaurants, especially when it's busy, but what matters is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, we did not feel that ours was handled well at all. For the price and overall experience, I expected much better and left extremely dissatisfied.

Our impression is that this must be a great location for college students or those who have enjoyed their drinking experience and need some grease to sober them up and don't mind what they are eating. We were very let down in our experience and the lack of professionalism from the employee who seemed to think that since he was in the speakeasy, he didn't need to be professional.

This is one of the worst dining experiences I've had in the Westwood/Western Hills areas. We went because we wanted to try someplace new. The service was mediocre: which by this neighborhood's standards is pretty good. My salad ordered with no peppers came with peppers underneath (like I wouldn't taste them?). My spinach bread came with still cold lumps of spinach on it. My small cheese pizza had a crust so bad, it made the pre-made grocery store versions seem delicious. Then to top it off, after telling the waitress I did not like the pizza and had no intention of eating it ever, I got charged for it. In full! When I asked the cashier about this, I was told that if I had bought it at the grocery store, I couldn't return it and so I was stuck paying.... I had a Caesar salad and a small stuffed crust pizza w/ spinach & onions. The salad was really good and topped w/ lots of bacon, croutons & cheese. The pizza was a bit of a let down though. The spinach was nothing more than green flecks mixed in w/ the cheese. The flecks were only slightly larger than a grain of salt. If you take a close look at the pic I posted, those green dots are their version of spinach. This, in my opinion, is ridiculous. This is not what I consider to be a topping. I'll chalk this up to lesson learned. Other than the lack of actual spinach, the pizza was good and there are other menu items I'd like to try. read more

Werkhaus Pizza has the worst food and even worse carry out service they never get an order right they often tend to over charge the food is lackluster and I will never be back there again I've been there several times and they never seem to get the order correct and I will never go back to the place because their service is horrible and also they are not Covid compliant people that don't seem to want to wear their masks and just don't care if you ever breathe all of your customers so that everybody can get sick do not go to Werkhaus if you want decent food or decent service read more

We moved to the west side of Cincinnati in 2010. I had driven by the Werkhaus Pizza Restaurant several times coming back from the post office. Today We called and ordered a Meat and Meat pie, Veggie pie, and Garlic Bread. My pizza pies were perfect, delivered hot, and arrived faster than promised. The delivery guy was nice, clean shaven, no tattoos, didn't look homeless, and was the most polite young man I have encountered on the West Side of Cincinnati. I will be a repeat customer !!!
