This local favorite is a staple on the coast, and during the summer it's not unusual to see a line stretching out the door. We ordered scoops of salted caramel and marionberry, then strolled to the beach to soak up the sunshine. Both flavors were delicious, and the fresh-made waffle cones made the treat even better. You can also order your ice cream in a cup if that's more your style. The prices are reasonable, and Zinger's is the perfect stop for a sweet treat while enjoying a sunny day by the ocean. Just keep in mind that its schedule changes in the fall: it is typically closed Monday through Thursday and open Friday through Sunday. The shop may also close early when the weather turns ugly. When it came time to eat, my friend and I ordered the breakfast and lunch special respectively. The lunch special that day was pork adobo sandwich with fries. I happened to ask for ranch on the side and OMG that was the best decision I made that day. Their ranch is one of the best ranches I've ever had. It's packed with dill and it's not too runny.
