Went through the drive through tonight (5/2) when they were not at all busy, around 10 PM. Asked for a simple change on my meal, no pickles. Employee running the drive through could not get me out of there fast enough. Hadn't even finished saying what I wanted for a drink and he told me to pull up to the window. Was holding the drink out the drive thru window before I had even turned the corner. No surprise, order was made incorrectly. All for efficiency, but not at the expense of making avoidable mistakes. I want to start this review with a note about why I'm giving it five stars...the five stars is a "curve," if you will when comparing this Wendy's to other fast food restaurants. Do not compare this review to other five stars that I've given to Dine-in casual or fine dining places. Okay, so with that being said, I went through a decent drive thru line and was served in a very timely manner. I tried their new honey hot chicken sandwich and was extremely impressed. It was delicious and slightly spicy. I didn't even know it included pickle chips, so that was a plus. The fries were as crisp and hot as they promised. The frosty was the cherry on top! I was going to leave it alone but management should know that these people here are condescending and rude. I came to pick up a DoorDash order. There's not one soul in the restaurant. I wasn't sure if you guys were open or not inside and the lady asked me to park and walk inside when there was nothing going on the food wasn't even on the counter, because I drove by to look, the thing that bothered me is that I understand you have rules but you literally had no one inside. We can all agree that Wendy's tastes amazing. Every single time. The quality control of the food whether it's at 2pm or 9pm is constant. Why did I subtract 2 stars? I frequent this location multiple times per month for the past 2 years. Every single time, I notice HUGE flies flying around the kitchen and in the back. In the winter time, I haven't noticed any bugs but if you go in the summer/spring/fall, you'll notice there are flies everywhere in this location. read more

The spot where Wendy's vision comes true! Usual Visit Times: Mostly weekends in the afternoon and nights. This is the only Wendy's out of the local area (Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, & Williamsburg) that serves fresh, hot meals no matter the time of day. I've never been here and got lukewarm/ nasty food, NEVER! I will go out of my way to come here if I got a craving for perfect Wendy's food. The customer service is brag worthy. I dunno about 'amazing' like the first reviewer claims this place is (and most of the restaurants in Williamsburg are adequately clean as well), but, at only 3 months old, this place is shiny and new, and that shows. Wendy's is definitely rethinking their brand, improving the environments in their restaurants, making things more pleasant for guests to dine in. The employees are still the same sort of help at any fast food restaurant, the food is the same as any other Wendy's, and that works. It's fast food, but it's decent fast food. read more

I used to love this Wendy's, but it has changed so much! Eating inside was disgusting! Tables were all dirty, not just with food, but with dust. I don't think they ever wipe down anything. The floors were dirty and there were flys everywhere. I'm really surprised nobody has complained about this. The cashiers are not very friendly either. Unfortunately I received an order that was incorrect. It happens, but most of the time it is managed well. Drove back to store. Manager handled it quickly, but the person cooking the food did not. I saw her put bacon on a sheet and slide it down the counter. The bacon fell off and she put it back on the sheet. I asked for my money back, which they did provide. The service was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are servers at buffalo wild wings and are in the service industry ourselves. We got off work at 11 tired cranky and hungry went to burger king and sat there with no greet so went to wendys instead. So happy we did. Coletta took our order. She was on the speaker the second we pulled up and was very cheery and happy. We get to the window to see a big smile on her face while she made sure we had everything we needed. The food was wonderful the service was also amazing and quick. DO NOT GO TO BURGER KING. WENDYS HERE IS AMAZING.
