I ordered a biggie bag (nuggets, burger, fries, drink ), another order of fries, and two more burgers. Got home (5 minute drive) only to find that I was missing one order of fries. That wasnt a big deal, but then I open one of the burgers and see that it's wrong as well. I check the other two, all incorrect. From an early age, most of us are raised to love McDonalds. It's in our collective American DNA and many of us never leave that McDonalds family. I like to think that McDonalds was the fast food family I was born into and Wendy's is the one I chose. Wendy's is the best of the fast food burger heavyweights. Their burgers are just plain better. The Baconator changed my life forever. The Big Classic never goes outta style. Their Triple Cheeseburger is delicious and has a camp value. "Can you BELIEVE I'm getting a TRIPLE cheeseburger?" you can say in a humorous voice while throwing up your hands in an exaggerated manner. I for one, love the square patties. Why is this is such a turn off for some people? I'd rather have a square patty of fresh, never frozen beef than a circular hunk of that hot mess you get at McDonalds. Wendy's is also on point with the melty cheese. Unlike some chains (lookin' at you McDonalds and BK) they've never given me cold cheese on any of my sammiches. They also have...... the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is to fast food chicken sandwiches what Jerry Rice is to Wide Receivers. What Johnny Depp is to character actors and what Paul Chambers is to jazz bassists. Adding cheese to that bad boy might make the Spicy Chicken Sandwich the best thing to ever be wrapped in decorative foil. And how much do we love the decor? The faux brick floors, the paisley carpet that changes color every 10 years, the oversized neon clock with burgers on it, and the cash registers that spit the coins down a ramp. Hot damn, those things rock! Even if I have a nickel, you ain't gettin' it Wendy's. We both know that seeing the change come out of the register's part of the experience. They have Frosties. They have Baked Potatoes. They have an unbelievable Value Menu. There are Wendy's people and there are McDonalds people. I'm happy to be in that former category. read more

Tonight I left work late and picked up an Asian Cashew Chicken Salad at this location on the way home. When I got home, I ate a few bites and realized to my horror that the chicken was still raw inside. After forcing myself to vomit, I returned to the store to complain and get my money back, which I did. But it's laughable, they actually tried to offer me another salad! Food is good, and service is friendly. They have gotten my order wrong more than once but luckily I have liked whatever I ended up with. The biggest thing I can say is this Wendy's is in desparate need of a remodel. It is extremely dated and kind of is a turn off from wanting to go sit in. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Hadn't been to Wendy's in years and decided to use a gift card I won. Ordered my food and asked for it to be fresh (wanted it hot, no mayo, fresh fries...you know, the usual). I was immediately cut off by the person at the window that said "we are too busy, you take your food!" I was so appalled I drove off and will NEVER return. You could have simply said it would take longer and ask if I was okay with waiting a few minutes it to tell me "NO" is not okay. I've been in hospitality and this is no way to speak to a customer. Sad thing is I believe this location was remodeled recently but they need to remodel their customer service as well. This place is very slow. The employees have a difficult time communicating over the speaker in the drive through in English, and it is hard to understand each other. Same for dining in. Also they mess up the orders, maybe because of the language barriers. On my latest visit I waited over 30 minutes for a few combos. I kept asking where my order was. I kept asking why others were ordering and getting their food, but mine was no where to be found. After complaining several times to the manager and being told to wait because they were short staffed, finally they admitted they didn't even know what my order was and needed to copy the receipt! Awful experience. My purse was left the night before and I was treated like a criminal trying to get it back. I was made to wait for 15+ minutes until a woman came out-DIGGING THROUGH IT. She refused to give it to me until my husband came over and was being down right rude. She wouldn't let me show her that it was mine by getting my debit card out of it. Really expensive for fast food. None of the prices you see on any of their commercials are honored.

The workers here get very overwhelmed during the lunch rush and take very long to process your orders, then will end up messing it up. I went through the drive thru for lunch and they missed some items to my order and never even gave me a receipt. read more

I've been to this Wendy's at least 100 times over the past 15 years. It is typical of what one can expect of any other Wendy's location. I've read other complaints about food not being served correctly, which is something that has unfortunately remained consistent over the years. The staff, however, has always remained extremely polite and seem to try their best to be helpful. Even with the high turn over rate with most of the staff, I have never once had an issue they did not politely and professional. read more

Relatively clean but super slow service. Fries are below average. Three huge TVs showing a talk show where everyone is yelling and screaming. When asked to turn sound down or turn off was assured it would happen - it didn't. Staff was not alert to loud continuous beeping alarms that were not turned off. It always happens. I go to Wendy's after work and they don't have frostys. It's like two or three hours before they close, and those lazy fucks shut down the frosty machine. I know what they do. They portion out a bunch of medium frostys and shut down the machine. I know this because I have ordered large frostys late night, and I got a medium that was frozen solid. It has been a while since I have had Wendy's but it was nearby and I thought it would be convenient, really wish I would have tried somewhere else. The order took forever to fill. This was partially the fault of the car in front of me that had severe difficulty figuring out what they wanted to eat but my order was relatively simple and took them a long time. I was a bit surprised at how much it all cost, more than twice what I would expect to pay at BK for similar food. It was only when I got home that I discovered they got my order wrong but it wasn't too big of a deal. I was a bit disappointed that the double stacks looked to be about the size of a slider. What really did surprise me is when I bit into it and it tasted like someone poured in a packet of sweet n low. As I stated it has been sometime since I have been at Wendy's and I wasn't aware they switched out the standard dill pickles with what I am guessing are bread and butter pickles. Disgusting by the way and worthy of a one star review on its own but not really this location's fault. I spent a summer working at Wendy's and was generally partial to their food but no longer. This particular Wendy's has times when they just don't care about satisfying their customers. Here's my story of a recent visit. I came in on a Sunday evening at 7PM to get 2 grilled chicken combos to go. The young woman at the counter took my order, I paid for it, and then she announced they had no grilled chicken. Would I like "spicy" (deep fried) or "homestyle", or wait 15 minutes. I said I'd wait. My receipt says 7:00PM. At 7:15PM, I got my food and left. I was disappointed to discover that my order was not filled with 2 freshly grilled chicken sandwiches. Instead, they gave me a single hamburger and a chicken sandwich that may have been sitting around a while, and fries that I figured I had watched come out of the fryer at 7PM. Let's start being being specific - this review is for this location only and not for Wendy's overall. Having qualified that, this is the worst Wendy's I've visited anywhere in the United States - and I travel frequently. This place is a case of food poisoning waiting to happen - if it hasn't already. The food is often incorrectly prepared missing items which are supposed to be on the item - the service is absolutely horrendous when compared with any other Wendy's or even a really gross Burger King. The management there doesn't seem to have any concerns about their establishment either. I generally stay away from fast food places - but I like Wendys, Chik-Fil-A and some places out west like Carl Jr's because they're usually pretty consistent and reliable - but this place doesn't meet that criteria - like I said, this isn't a reflection on Wendy's overall, just a poorly managed and apathetic restaurant - dirty, slow, and inept are not qualities I like to encounter in any dining establishment and this place has all three working against it. If Wendy's corporate were on top of things, they'd either renovate this place and hire all new staff, or dig a deep hole and push it into it - this place is downright gross. read more

My girlfriend is in the hospital with me and I had called my sister to place an order, she had me on the phone and I told her my order. we decided to eat Wendy's because my girlfriend wanted a baked potato. While on the phone my sister ordered through the drive through 2 spicy nugget meals. One in which had the baked potato instead of fries. My sister was asked if it was the baked potato with bacon and we declined as we wanted it plain with extra sour cream and butter. She then ordered a coke with no ice ending the first order. The second simply had fries and a sprite. My sister pulled out and forgot to check the bag as she was in a hurry to get back to us. She gets to our hospital room to realize that there were two sets of fries and no baked potato. There was also ice in the coke. to some maybe they can work around the fact that the side was messed up but when the whole reason to decide to get a meal there was for that side its highly irritating. luckily there is another location in sterling. read more
