I'm back here at Wendy's, this time at the Redding location for breakfast. I'm still using these coupons I got in the mail, this time it's a 2 for 1 offer of a biscuit breakfast sandwich. I ordered the sausage, cheese and egg biscuit. I was expecting something similar to the all so common biscuit, sausage and egg sandwich. Wow, was I wrong ... pleasantly surprised actually. This was a way better experience than the Dave's single burger I had yesterday, considering that burger was about $6.50 and this breakfast sandwich was about $4 bucks inc tax and tasted way better. Using the coupon 2 for 1, I got 2 biscuit, sausage egg and cheese sandwiches for just $4.00! The service was fine and the sandwiches came out quickly. Getting them back to the table I unwrapped and was surprised to find a real fried egg in there and a big square sausage patty. Usually the egg is just some weird yellow patty that you hope was an egg. The cheese was all melty. The size of the biscuit was bigger than something you might get at Micky D's, this was a substantial sandwich! My first bite, I loved it! I could taste the real egg and the sausage and I def would get this again. Maybe even pay full price, but with the 2 for 1 coupon mos def a deal! Do not eat here! Fresh never frozen, for sure! I heard this burger literally mooing at me. I ordered the Minute Maid pink lemonade from the fountain and received warm original of their fresh stuff. Wendy's is a typical too tired to cook/on a road trip passing through spot to stop, but this place never disappoints. This location specifically is one of the better ones. My favorite thing to get here is the son of a baconator. It's juicy without being messy, and has a great bun to protein ratio. It's filling and it's only $3 on its own. Like you really can't do better when pairing quality with price. Didn't get any food. Ordered on the app, charged my account, but when we went in they said they didn't get the order. Fine whatever, but I showed them the receipt and charge, and the order in the app and still they couldn't make my food. Fine I'll get a refund, except you have to get a refund through the app and there isn't a thing for refunds only complaints! Called my bank and turns out you can't even dispute the charge until it's finished pending. So I got no food, no way for a refund, and now I'm out 20 bucks. For some that might not seem like a lot but when moneys right and you just wanted a treat it is a lot. Edit: I'd also like to say that the main staff were really kind especially Bailey. The managers however did nothing and just stared at us kinda annoyed looking. Will probably never return to a Wendy's again as I've had MANY issues with these restaurants. Probably the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. We were passing through Redding on our trip to Oregon and had to stop for gas. Next door was a Wendy's so we decided to stop for some driving snacks. It took half an hour to get through a line that had 4 cars in front of us. We had a few people every so often hop out of line since it was taking so long. While we were ordering someone popped around and drove up to the window. The worker looked confused since they cut in front of us but didn't say anything. He took the order at the window and then made the food so it took even longer. At the end of the day speed knocks only a star or two off for me. What caused me to go down to 1 star was the food we go. The chicken nuggets we got weren't the standard Wendy's ones. They weren't even seasoned the same, nor were they they same consistency on the batter. They were literally random nuggets. The 2 Dave singles that we had gotten had nearly no sauce to them. It tasted like it was under a warmer the entire time. The drinks were fine but it comes from a fountain so it's rare the soda machine is off. Our fries were overcooked and doused in salt. They were so salty I could only eat a few. I hate giving 1 star, but it really doesn't deserve anything higher. read more

We started our order in the drive thru with a male and about halfway through he says "hold on give me a sec" and 5 minutes later we hear a female through the speaker instead. We finished our order and she read it back to us but did not include what we ordered when we were speaking with the male worker so we corrected it and drove up to the window. We were first given the incorrect amount of items and were short charged on the original total she gave us earlier. We made a correction which clearly got her EXTREMELY flustered and she ended up handing us 2 additional bags of food and said "just take it" so we ended up paying for a 1 meal and getting 2 meals for free (we originally only ordered 2 meals). Just spend $46 for NOTHING WE WANTED only what they had. The strawberry lemonade is undrinkable and tastes like cherry instead of strawberry but most it tastes of soda water. Very very watered down. Maybe just close the doors if you are going to lie to people about having the food they want and then just stuffing the bag with whatever you have on hand. Absolutely appalled. I didn't have time for breakfast this morning so around 11:45 l decided to swing by Wendy's. Their downtown location is closed but l was on Cypress anyway and a Wendy's single with cheese and a large chili with onions sounded good so l stopped in the lower Hilltop location. I ordered the single with cheese, which now is around $6.50 got one burger. I also ordered a large chili with onions. My bill came to $11.43 with no drink. I thought the bill was a bit high but l paid it and sat down to enjoy my lunch. The burger was delicious, every damn bite was yummilicious, but what the hell is up with their Chili. It was a long way from being the delicious Chili l always enjoyed at Wendy's. Their so called ground beef was evidently left over hamburgers that were definitely large pieces of hamburgers and they were all big pieces. I like small pieces of ground beef in my chili, not some big left over burger pieces. The chili itself was nothing like it once was, the chili flavor was overwhelmed by the added bland tomatoe sauce. I only ate half of it and took the rest straight to the trash bin. Hey Wendy's, l know you have to pay your laborers 20 bucks an hour, but for $11.43, you're not doing yourself any favors by serving lousy food. Went there the other night for two strawberry frostys like they advertise on tv. We'll the drive up was slow and when we got the frosty s they were 3/4 full and the most disgusting chemical taste. Ordered a jr cheeseburger and bacon single patty meal a baked potato and got to the window to pay and told no potatoes, ok no biggie so I say I'll take two baconator fries instead, ok next window I get two sandwiches only. No fries, no drink, no bacon fries. I say I just paid $18 he said yea for the baconator single Patty sandwich and the Jr cheeseburger. Wtf not for $18 I didn't. went just a few hours ago with my boyfriend and friend. they were very unwelcoming and treated my boyfriend's accent (English is not his first language, though fluent) poorly. what was probably the worst, though, is that all three of our burger's buns had mold on them. mold. we went back for a refund, which they gave, but they did not apologize and mostly ignored us. While the staff was friendly I gotta day the food is definitely lacking in the flavor department. I was told the frosty machine was down for 10min so I bypassed the wait and then saw the car in front of me get three small frosties after about a 5 min wait. By reading most of the reviews you'll quickly see that several years ago, this Wendy's served reasonably priced, quality food with good service, but, once again, the majority of the reviews show that's changed. Our experience was no different. Last week, we used counter service (about six cars were using the drive through) with no one at the counter. We waited for the "hostess" who turned out to be a big "zero". No greeting, or verbal contact. We ordered, and she took my name. While we were waiting, a young man came in and waited and waited for service. I counted six teammembers. No one came to serve him so he left. When our order came up the "hostess" simply said "here" (not sure why she bothered taking my name). I asked if that was my order, she repeated "here". We had ordered two combos, I ordered the baconator. Our order came to just under $20. My so-called baconator ($9.50) came on a bun about 4" in diameter with one patty (should have been two) somewhat raw, with some melted cheese and a few crumbled pieces of bacon with ketchup and mayo. I should have checked the order at the Wendy's because when I got home I threw out that disgusting piece of crap. That night I responded to Wendy's "TalktoWendys.com" website, with my critique, foolishly thinking they would respond as I left my email address. I waited one week and now posted this review so people can see the crap Wendy's serves with the miserable service, and disinterest by management.
