Absolutely Disgusted - Found a Bug in My Burger I went to Wendy's around 6:40 PM through the drive-thru and ordered a Baconator. Something told me to open it before taking a bite--and thank God I did. To my absolute horror, there was a crispy dead fly inside my burger, right on the bacon. I have never been so grossed out in my entire life. The fact that a bug made it into my food raises serious questions about cleanliness and food safety at this location. I ended up throwing up in the parking lot from how sick it made me feel. Now I can't stop wondering how many other burgers I've eaten here in the past might've had something in them. My advice to everyone: check your food before eating it. This experience was completely unacceptable and has turned me off from ever eating at Wendy's again unless they address this issue seriously. read more

I came to this wendy's location at around 9:30 pm on a wednesday night. We were immediately greeted with eye rolls and attitude by the employees who were doing nothing but walking around on their phone. The manager then told us that we couldn't order at the counter, had to use the kiosk, and couldn't get any frosty. Obviously this isn't that big of a deal, however she had an attitude. After ordering, I said thank you and was completely ignored. Then, as we waited for our food the manager turned off all the lights at 9:54 pm when this location does not close until 11:00 pm. Then after leaving, we witnessed the employees yelling at the doordash drivers trying to pick up their order through the drive through and saying they did not have their orders. This manager needs to be fired as she's setting a horrible example for her employees do not come to this location. read more

We stopped in here while shopping in the area. This Wendy's is in the same shopping center where the Stop n Shop grocery store is, so it's very busy with cars going in/out all the time. The drive thru had lots of cars in line, so we decided to walk inside. My husband got a chili and I got a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger for $1 (offer in my Wendy's mobile app). The burger was juicy and very well made. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh as well. The guy behind the counter taking our order was really nice and patient. I am not one for fast food due to food allergies but it is a tradition to buy my dogs to enjoy hamburgers for their birthdays (and two for my bf too). We came right around 5PM after a snow storm. Parking lot yet poorly designed traffic pattern was clear. We only waited a minute to order. Everything was clear and understood, not technology like other locations. The car in front of us must have had a big order because we waited quite some time for our food, which came out just as we ordered it and hot! Thank you. My dogs loved it and actually took the time to eat their junior bacon cheeseburgers rather than the usual scarf down in under 5 seconds. read more

No issues here. Service was fast and friendly from my brief encounter, as you have to use a self service kiosk. Really, the only reason I went here was the coca-cola freestyle machine as I had a craving for a mello-yello soda and no stores in the area carry it anymore and the place on Amazon I usually get it from was going to take 2 weeks. Fairly bad Wendy's location. Didn't check the bag only to realize they didn't include any sauces for nuggets despite them asking when taking the order. French fries were strangely stale and hard despite being cooked and lukewarm. Soda served with no ice for no reason. Only a single napkin in the bag. No receipt given. Hours listed say midnight but only drive thru was open. No hours listed for when the lobby is open so I watched multiple people park and try to enter only to be met by a locked door. read more

I literally had THE most disgusting burger of my life tonight. I had to chuck my craved burger out the window. It was cold. It was stale. It was the most nastiest thing I have ever encountered. It was like it was sitting under a heat lamp for half a day and when I ordered it they took a jr cheeseburger out from under the heat lamp, unwrapped, picked off the pickles, wrapped it back up and served. I am done with this location. Every time I have come her it is nothing but a fiasco and everyone that works here is purely incompetent. And I'm not just taking about making burgers. I'm talking service at the box, service at the window and then the thing they call "food" that they serve. Do yourself the favor drive up the road ten minutes and go to Frenchtown!!!!!! "Want do you want" was the response I got when I approached the drive thru to pick up my online order. Very poor customer service! I was trying to get his attention to bring me and the other customers their food as I approached the window but ignored me. Finally I got his attention and the cashier told me they were short staffed but he was goofing off with his co workers my order he also told me that my didn't matter and told me to leave. I managed to get my order however that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't able to assist me and the other customers eagerly waiting for food. In the end his behavior towards customers was very rude and uncalled for. Ive worked in customer service for over 5 years and I have never witnessed such poor behavior in my life. I told myself I wouldn't review fast food joints, but here I go, breaking my own rule over this particular Wendy's location. There's nothing remarkable or different about the food -- standard fare and items as all the Wendy's franchises ... but this Wendy's had a surprisingly modern and attractive interior! It looked more like a chic coffee-house than a burger joint. Sleek contemporary furnishings, clean wood-laminate flooring, a gas "fireplace" (or more like a decorative fire "feature"), and several flat screen TV's mounted, and free wifi! Of course, if you do the drive-thru, you won't experience any of this, but the set-up and decor of this one's dining area is probably worth a stop. An extra star just for this foray into something a bit more upscale-appearing. read more

I have had countless bad interactions at the particular Wendy's location. First of all, the food is either perfectly as described or cold and stale. The biggest issue here is the service. Everyone who works here clearly does not know how to handle social interaction. They talk down to you and are straight up rude. My roommate was in tears after how they spoke her to her today. No one should ever have to deal with this abuse. They also forgot to give her back her card at the drive through and we had to make a total of 4 trips through the drive thru line today to get mistake after mistake corrected. If you're craving Wendy's you're best off taking the trip to the one in Middletown. read more

The interior is really nice, and the staff is fast and friendly. I have never had any problems with an order. The food is fast food, so it is what it is. This location is a dump! Tables are filthy, counter where you get napkins, etc is filthy, ketchup dispensers are empty with old ketchup sticking out from nozzle. Sandwich made didnt contain all ingredients i.e. tomato. Floors are dirty with trash and outside garbage cans are overflowing. Employee taking orders is more interested in talking with co workers rather than customers. Will never come to this location again! Do yourself a favor, dont waste your money here. read more

Short version: The quality of food and service is sub-par, even by fast-food standards. Longer version: I went inside around noon on a Thursday to get lunch to go. They seemed to be short-staffed by about two to three workers; the line moved slower than average. Also, the personnel they did have appeared to function poorly as a team - at one point, there were three workers manning the fryolators (one person should have been able to handle this). A few workers worked at a leisurely pace (I only saw one worker hustle.) Besides slow service, workers made several mistakes ("I guess they can't read," a customer remarked, after he reminded a worker that he had ordered three, not two, of an item.) When I gave my name (Ken) for the order, somehow that got translated as "Catt". Also, I had to ask for a drink cup, and they gave me a small cup when I should have got a medium cup. As for the food, the double cheeseburger was sloppily made, but otherwise okay. Fries, however, had NO salt and were very bland (usually, fries at these places tend to be overly salted). There were only two positives from this experience: the employees I dealt with were polite, and the restaurant was neat and clean (although it should be, since this is a new building). Takeaway: Unfortunately, there are few options for a fast lunch in the southern end of North Kingstown, but I would skip this place and settle for something from the also-new Cumberland Farms a short ways north of here on Route 2. (Update: You won't get much of a lunch at Cumby's either. Basically, there are slim pickings for good, fast food in N.K.) read more

The best way to sum up this Wendy's is hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good (for a Wendy's) sometimes not so much. The biggest issue is the staffing. Some of the workers are very friendly however some do not like there job & are rude or grumpy. read more

It's hardly worth anyone's time to write a review for a fast food place, but this Wendy's richly deserves one. This is probably one of the worst Wendy's in existence - too bad because it's also one of the newest. I have stopped there about four or five times over the last few months, and their success rate at getting your order right is less than 50%. I don't mean they get your order wrong most of the time, it is always wrong, but each time more than half the items ordered are either incorrect, incomplete, or missing completely, whether you go to the drive-up or go inside. Always wrong, all the time. The staff always appears to be completely disorganized. The service is horrendous. One time when I went inside, there were several people standing in line waiting to place their orders, and the seven or eight kids "working" there could not have cared less. The first person in line finally got one of the kids to go find the manager so he could take orders. He did so unapologetically. The next time, an order-taker was there, but the other high school kid loitering around the register hit on my daughter, not knowing she was two years out of graduate school. We took it as youthful indiscretion. Today I made the mistake of stopping in again and there were three people ahead of me in line. We waited about ten minutes and no one came near the register to take orders or even acknowledged the people waiting. The first person in line asked one of the seven or eight kids who wandered past if they filled drive-up orders first. The reply was unintelligible and he didn't take the hint. There was a manager there, but he seemed preoccupied with putting the condiments on hamburgers, hardly management stuff, but apparently the underlings couldn't. He was completely oblivious to the growing line of customers waiting to order. I finally told the rest of the line that I was giving up and suggested they do the same. Someone should clue in the franchise owner that the management is nonexistent and the underlings are untrained and a few are usually goofing off in the dining area. If the employees are this incompetent at serving, I can't imagine the cooking, cleaning, or food safety is any better. You invested a lot of money in this place, so shut it down, train the staff, and re-launch when they can handle it and want to take it seriously. Don't even get me started on the traffic pattern. When you enter the parking lot (at the rear of the building), you have to circle the place 360 degrees to get to the beginning of the drive-up lane, and another 360-degree circuit to get out. Everyone who walks in or out of the building has to cross the path of these vehicles that are circling twice, and the traffic is always coming around a corner at pedestrians. Probably one of the worst locations locally for service and timeliness. This place really needs to get its' act together. If there are more than 3 cars in line before you drive up to order... turn around and find another quickie stop unless you have an extra 20-30 minutes to spare at a drive-thru. Most times I've stopped here, it's been on my way home and it's the only drive thru locally that carries juice boxes for my toddler - when I'm in a pinch - and he's having a car seat tantrum. Today we waited 20 minutes in line for 2 juice boxes, a frosty and a hamburger grilled to order. I was at this Wendy's on Sunday July 1st at noon and I have to say it was the dirtiest fast food restaurant I have ever been in. Trash overflowing in courtyard trash barrels, trash all over the ground in courtyard and parking lot. They have a stone wall as decor in dining room that had French fries in the cracks that have Ben there for a long time. When I watched employee empty trash (finally) it leaked everywhere and no one did anything to mop up the mess at all. read more
