Customer service is crap and manager sees and lets it slide... go to another location is possible

Likely the last time we will be at this location. We had been frequenting this Wendy's since the opened 20 years ago. The order was for a Spicey Chicken combo with fries and two face singles combos one with a baked potato and the other with chili. Even with coupons the price for what we got was very disalpoonting. The Dave's singles were the size of junior burgers, with very minimal and limp toppings. I was charged for another fry which I didn't ask for, and the sides were uninspiring. My family and I have eaten at Wendy's regularly for almost two decades. My wife and I are lifelong customers at Wendy's. Eating at Wendy's has been a treat for us, especially during the winter months when it's harder to BBQ outdoors. A few weeks ago, I took my family to Wendy's Barrhaven for our dinner together. Overall, the food was decent even if the French Fries weren't hot (they were cool and somewhat soggy). After finishing dinner my wife and three children had their usual Frosty for dessert. Within a short time, my entire family had sore stomachs, cramps, nausea and soon afterwards vomited their Frosties and everything that they had eaten for dinner. I didn't eat a Frosty and had no health issues with my meal. Even though my family said their Frosties had tasted okay, there definitely was something wrong with them. I don't know if Wendy's Frosty machine is being cleaned and sanitized properly every day. Possibly, it was a bad batch of Frosties. Although my wife contacted Wendy's they didn't seem to care about this incident or even take her concerns seriously. Given what occurred we won't be ordering Frosties again or ever go back to Wendy's. Doing research in Google I found some interesting, but sobering information on soft ice-cream machines, as follows: "When a machine isn't cleaned regularly, the ice cream mixture -- or in Wendy's case, the Frosty mixture -- can harden inside, leading to mechanical issues. Unclean machines are also dangerous from a health perspective. For instance, they can be a breeding ground for listeria bacteria, one reason why pregnant women are advised to avoid soft-serve. (Listeria infection, caused by Listeria monocytogenes, is the third leading cause of foodborne illness-related death in the U.S., according to the CDC.) Additionally, how the Frosty mixture is handled can be a concern, as mixtures have a very narrow safe temperature range. If they're stored improperly or mishandled, or if a temperature malfunction isn't caught, harmful bacteria can flourish." read more

One star given because I can't give zero. Thursday at 7:30pm. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks and a chili. Spent $30 after tax. - waited over 15 minutes for my order - chili was cold as it was packaged immediately after ordering and just sat on the counter - burgers were partially cooked, greasy, and unappetizing - fries were cold - half of the drink options were unavailable in the drink dispenser - lobby was an absolute disaster - unclean tables and floors and the condiment / lid dispenser were unstocked Yes, they were going through a rush so they were a tad busier than usual but I saw no sense of urgency in any of the staff members. The one manager I did see kept looking at the order monitor and was not reacting to the situation around her to help expedite orders or ensure quality or cleanliness. Even after the rush subsided, there was no staff member sent out to check on the lobby cleanliness. We left the restaurant appalled and disgusted. My wife and I have only 'banned' one restaurant in the past 20 years and that was because of food poisoning. Congrats on being our second banning, Wendy's. What was once our favorite restaurant has become our least. We will NEVER come here again. read more

Food is decent - a lot better than most fast food burger places. The staff at this location needs to get organized. Everyone seems to be running around doing multiple jobs, leaving the customer waiting longer than what's acceptable for a drive thru. read more

I've always loved Wendy's but this location wasn't the greatest. Fries were so cooked they were almost burnt (darkest shade I've ever seen Wendy's fries) but so cold and had no seasoning. Usually there's salt on them but nothing this time. Cashier was nice and the service was quick but he gave me 13$ in loonies as they didn't have any small bills ( 100% not his fault though) but annoying none the less. Even my favourite sandwich, the junior deluxe cheeseburger was gross. The patty was dry and cold, cheese wasn't as yummy and melted as usual. The bun was dry and kinda stale. I was so excited to eat there and it really sucked. So disappointed read more

I've been to this location half a dozen times - they've gotten my order wrong twice. 66% is a terrible percentage at place like this. The most recent time I drove back 6 km to get them to comp the meal - but they didn't even ask if I wanted them to, they just started cooking a burger I no longer wanted. I then had to get the manager back again to tell them that I just wanted my money back - they gave me the cost of the burger, not the meal. I won't be back. read more

Not sure if it's just this location but the burgers are so greasy the buns are soaked. The chicken burgers are much better, but my favorite is the Chilli. They have stopped using fresh cut fries which they were advertising so proudly. The frozen fries are useless. If getting takeout I always check what is in the bag before leaving. Don't forget the hot sauce for the Chilli. read more

Never had a issue with this Wendy's. I always order a David's single and baked potato to go. The dinning area needs an upgrade but they have a television. Strawberry lemonades are good and I do not get the Chili (please please please) read more

Messed up my order 6 of the last 8 times. This started as a bit of a joke for my wife and I, where we noticed missing items here and there. We come here weekly as a reward for my son when he does well in school. For the last month and a half, we have tracked our orders and found the orders to be wrong or missing items 75% of the time. Today was the last straw though, for the first time I called to complain because we were missing a baked potato and when the lady on the phone answered we overheard something rather discouraging. The person on the other side of the phone was having a hard time finding our order and when she asked for help, another employee was heard telling the person on the phone to "just tell them they weren't charged for the potato". The person on the phone just repeated the lie and that was the end of it. I'm not going back again, we will just find somewhere else to go. read more

I'm very disappointed considering they got my order wrong, the service was bad, my incorrect order was the worst thing I've ever eaten and the French fries were cold, undercooked, and bland. To top it all off I watched this man make one mistake after another! I believe that a worker like that who had done nothing right all night deserved to be fired immediately. I will not be returning back to Wendy's considering this even has been very inconvenient and that the meal I just ate was horrible!! read more

Wendy's is starting to go down hill. I like the food when in a hurry, but the recent intro of the 1.89 menu is a total rip. Jr. bacon meal now costs 1.89 x 3 instead of 3.99. This is just a start to allow them to increase there main burger prices. C'mon Wendy's, you're not a gourmet burger joint and never will be. read more

Their fries always disappoint no matter how many times I try to believe they will be good this time, the drinks always have a really funky taste to them, and their burgers / chicken nuggets always feel like they're old or something :/ I think it's just this location cuz other Wendy's (the one that burned down) was always good for me read more
