Everytime I feel like having a burger the works is the first place it comes to mind . I love their huge menu and how many options for the whole family from the meat lovers as well as the vegetarians who enjoy a good veggie/vegan burger. The place has upgrated a lot with the years it used to be very pub style now i could say it can be a bit hipster but we love that !! The pictures were taken for a contest to show landmarks from my city and I still find them very cool !! If you ever are craving a burger must try the works at least once , very nice place and the staff are so nice and friendly that they make you feel at home .

I love coming here! They have so many variety of options to make the burgers taste exactly how you want. Starting from the choices of bread to protein to toppings on the burgers and finally the variety of sides. Not only do they have burgers but if you're craving aomething else they serve poutine, salads as well as the most delicious milkshakes! By far I have to say this is probably the place with the best onion rings I've eVer had so I tend to alqays go for the three ring biinder burger that includes them in their toppings

I remember when The Works first opened in Ottawa. One location. It was an excellent experience. Great flavours, great service, an great pricing on what is considered a gourmet burger. Then, more locations opened, and as expected, the experience changed. What was once a great meal became, er, homogenized. I'm not even sure that's the right word. What I mean to say is that, in the process of opening multiple locations, and keeping the taste the same across all the locations, something was lost. The flavour of the patty became flat. No depth of flavour, no complexity on the palette. The menu was the same, but the execution wasn't. because of that, I stopped going. Fast forward to this past visit, which was planned by my siblings for my Mum's 80th birthday. When they told me it would be at this restaurant, I thought to myself "ugh, there are so many other places that serve a better burger". I was pleasantly surprised to see that the menu wasn't as huge as it was. It's no secret in the food industry that offering fewer items, and doing them perfectly, is better than offering more, and ding them poorly. My burger was tasty, and cooked perfectly. Excellent meat to bun ratio. The best part was the service. Our server admitted to just having started a few weeks ago, an thanked us for making her first big party service so pleasant. Her attitude will make me consider returning to this location, despite it being a 45 minute drive from home, and that there is a Works location in our neighborhood.

Pretty happy w this place. Solid burgers and an incredible number of options. They can also customize to your taste - which they did wonderfully for my daughter (who wanted lettuce, cucumber, mayo, and FRENCH FRIES in her burger). Even more: I didn't want a burger so ordered the Greek salad (no protein). It was pretty good and, if anything, oversized. Everyone in attendance liked the place. Bonus points for selling root beer floats ;-)

I've had great experiences with all locations so far. The service was amazing as always and the decor was just like all the others. This one even had an outdoor patio. The Works in general: The food is always great and I definitely have my favourite toppings being anything with pineapples! I like how the menu now also includes an everything bagel which isn't a bad $0.50 upgrade. The menu is very customizable from the buns (or lack of) and type of protein to the combo of toppings so it should fit most diets. My vegetarian friend actually suggested this particular visit. Their milkshakes...AMAZING. I've been a returning customer for a couple of years now and will continue to be. I also enjoy seeing their seasonal outrageous specials (like peanut butter pieces in a burger) that I have yet to try but it's something that will keep inviting regulars to try something new.

I came here during lunch to try out their lunch menu. It's a pretty good deal as you can get a 4oz burger, with fries and a 16oz drink for $10.97! I chose the dead ringer because of the smoked brisket and smokey bbq sauce, and upgraded to onion rings. The burger was satisfying, not too dry, and there was enough sauce and cheese to make it really hearty. I also got a chocolate chip cookie milkshake (I LOVE their milkshakes)! They're always super thick and rich, and not too sweet. The only thing is the wait is usually pretty long to get your food, but it just means the food is being freshly prepared! Service was professional and quick, but could be friendlier. The washrooms here for ladies were quite stinky, which I haven't experienced at other The Works locations. Overall, a good deal, but nothing oustanding.

Nice burgers and fries! lunch menu has smaller burgers and some good choices. Take the onion rings stack as appetizer. We're going to have milkshakes for dessert.

The Long Version: My husband and I had lunch here. We shared a cheeseburger ($9.50), a chicken sandwich ($12.95) and an order of fries ($5). The cheeseburger was a smash burger with cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and their burger sauce. There was too much sauce for my liking and the meat was too salty for my tastes, but other than that the burger was ok. The meat was smashed really thin and the edges were crispy. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich more. The chicken sandwich had a breaded chicken breast, coleslaw, pickles and chicken sauce. We got ours medium spice. It wasn't spicy at all, lol. The chicken was a good thickness and was tender and moist. We enjoyed this more than the cheeseburger. I liked that the bun they use is a plain bun without seeds in it. The buns were soft. The fries were a good portion size. I'm glad we shared one portion. They were hot and crispy and had the skins on. They were regular cut, not skinny, but not too thick. You order at the cash register, pay and they give you your order number. When your food is ready they call out your number and bring it to your table if you're dining in. When you're done, you throw out your own garbage and stack the empty tray on top of the garbage area. Service was pleasant and the food didn't take long. There are seats inside to dine in and also seats on the patio out front. There's a single universal washroom that is wheelchair accessible for the entire restaurant. Since the restaurant is small, I feel this was sufficient. It was clean. Street parking or paid parkade parking only. Review #187 (2025)

Cool place with some front window seats, 4 booths and a larger table that fits 10 or so people. Their specialty looks to be a juicy lucy aka patty stuff with cheese the melts when you cook it. I ended up getting a cheeseburger combo. The burgers are good. They're in tough competition with some really good burgers down the street...which are about $10+ more expensive though. Combo your meal for $4 which gives you fries and drink. I enjoy the fries as well. They also have some interesting sides like tornado fries, poutine, sweet potato fries and a few others which I think you can upgrade to. I'll be back to try other things but wanted to put it in your radar if you're in the area.

I didn't even know this was a thing before I stepped into this restaurant. The lovely lady at the front explained that it's essentially a halal way to have bacon, and it is pretty similar. Not quite bacon, but a good alternative. We added it to our burger but I ate it separately to get the full experience. I would go back here! Not sure I would add the bacon, but I would certainly enjoy a burger again.

I got away with Chorizo, some lean ground beef and some beautiful olive oil. Is this place cheap? No! But, I pay for quality without batting an eye. Especially foodie stuff. Next round was a Tuesday aft. Ahhh. Better. I could see everything, not so packed. It was just after a long weekend so some things were sold out but I grabbed more lean beef, a chicken parm portion, a beef Jamaican patty and a stuffed potato. All were good!
