The mocchicino that the serve was alright in the other hand. Just no flavour for me. It lacked the coffee element that I was hoping for. All in all though this was an A+ in my books for breakfast

When I went to order, the server had no idea what I was talking about. My go-to's were the Down Under and the Sweet Ride (which was featured on their server's tshirts). Gone. I understand they require additional ingredients such as poached pear or beets but we've been back in the real world for several years and they haven't re-expanded their menu. Sucks. The Works is one of those places. Going here for lunch before heading home from my visit to Ottawa, I was hoping for a decent burger. Instead I got too many choices of what looked like good burgers along with an agonizing choice: fresh cut fries or homemade chips. Argh. I settled on a classic fallback for me, a bleu cheese burger and some homemade chips. Drinks are served in 2 cup measuring cups (weird but oddly cool) which further makes this place unique. The burger was mouth watering and on point. It was cooked a bit closer to Medium Well than Medium, but the flavor was there so it wasn't an issue. Our server was very friendly and we had no issues there. We were there at 11:30 on a Monday and there was a steady flow of take out orders along with a few other tables dining in. The interior looked to be an old wood fired pizza place, but since I'm not a local, I couldn't tell you if I'm right ;) If you can't tell by now, I'm a fan and wish this was closer to home. Check it out!

I've not returned until now. Went there last night with a group of 6 adults, specifically because they have Gluten Free options. My chicken burger was good, but - again - nothing special. I don't think anyone walked away with a 'that was the best burger ever' kind of feel. One person really liked their poutine while another person found their poutine had stale fries. A burger eater also noted stale fries. I want to be clear - a 3 star in Yelp is 'A-OK' and that's what this is. It's not special in my mind. It is a good location to eat with friends and have a drink. Decor is pleasant a bit more unified than when they first opened, with better use of space. We loved our waitress.

Others had the Louisiana and New Orleans burger which they liked! The fries were absolutely delicious. It is $3 to upgrade to sweet potatoes fries but they were great. You definitely won't go wrong with regular fries too! Thick cut and cooked to perfection. If you order a combo it comes a soda pop with free refills.
