I got the Cajun fries so I might want to try the regular ones before I write of their fries forever. Service was great - very quick and everyone was really nice. There is one thing that will bring me back here- it's the peanuts! These peanuts that are given away for FREE in an all-you-can-eat format were actually some of the best peanuts I've had! Yes, I drove over there. I was craving it badly. The parking lot has a number of concrete islands in the parking lot. I felt like I was driving through an obstacle course. Anyway, I parked and walked in. The woman there was patient with me. I had to ask her whether the double roast beef sandwich was the former medium roast beef one. She said yes. Arby's has recently rebranded their roast beef sizes. It was like a test to see if I was observant. I ordered a couple of double roast beef sandwiches and a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie to go. I paid using a credit card. My order was ready in no time. I was impressed. I drove back to the hotel to relax in air conditioning. I chowed down. The roast beef sandwich was yummy. The bun was soft. Pure perfection! The salted caramel chocolate chip cookie is a winner. If you like a combination of sweet and salty, this cookie is up your alley. The cookie is also huge, which I appreciated. Ottawa, you are lucky that you have an Arby's, although in Kanata. Unfortunately, they're also doing away with mocktail mixers, but I was able to get a nice mocktail. My boyfriend ordered the "Cheerful," a take on a TLT, while I decided to order a crunch wrap filled with Beyond crumbles, pico, and other fillings. It's clearly a take on the fast food place with the bell. We both decided to get the belle poutine. I tried a bite of the TLT, which was sort of a pita pocket, and it was pretty good. I liked my crunch wrap, but it got cold very quickly. I sadly was not a fan of the poutine, which was a vegan cheezy sauce and gravy rather than curds, and there wasn't enough gravy. For a casual place, the price points seemed a bit high. Still, if I'm in Ottawa again, I'll go to a Pure Kitchen (there happens to be on in the neighborhood where our hotel is), but I'll get regular fries instead.
