I'm frustrated by three things, the wait, it doesn't matter if you order ahead or not you always have to wait. 2nd, their app has listings for several different sweetners but they actually only have one. Just arrived in Montrose today and needed a quick meal. Chose the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Should have known better. The most awful tasting sandwich I have ever encountered. It came with salad mix. We roll up after making an online order as we already know, it'll take 20 minutes even when we order at the drive thru. There are maybe 6-8 employees, and no one in line when we pull up. No one behind us or in front of us. We notify the clerk at the window we have an online order and wait for roughly 5-10 minutes. Female employees asks us to pull up to wait and we oblige, waiting about 10-15 minutes longer. At the 15 minute mark, the female employee comes out with our food and clearly hates her coworkers and her job. Personally I don't blame her as they obviously make her do the work to no appreciation. Get home, order seems right so no big deal. Son of a baconator has no bacon. I get it, it sucks and whatever but come On man. I've worked in the industry at the worst of the worst, but any chance you get to make it better, just flipping try. This place is always a disappointment, the crew is high, trust me I know, been there done that, and they literally screw it up every. Single. Time. Never fails. I'm not typically one to leave a bad review.... I know they were training new staff, and quite understaffed... but this service was unacceptable. We went through the drive through and sat there for 5-10 minutes without even a "welcome sorry if we take a few minutes we're kinda busy and understaffed" no nothing...We ordered a south west Avocado salad and apple pecan salad. My salad (SW Avocado) had hair in the avocado. It couldn't had been my hair it was blonde and pin straight, my hair is brunette and curly. (At least it wasn't a finger in my chili ) but that's not it... my other salad (apple pecan) had no apples bleu cheese or cranberry's. I won't be coming back for sure read more

The staff at wendys in montrose were, for lack of better words, gross. i watched 1 come from behind the trash can as if he were homeless and go in and start working, which good on him for trying, but people need to be clean to work around food. i watched Two more employees walk in from smoking without washing their hands and went straight to work And then there was the one that was so high, he couldn't even see straight. The overall cleanliness and appearance is just an absolute turn off. I have experienced extremely long wait lines every time I'm there and I have waited over 45 minutes at 1 point, i was giving them the benefit of the doubt but, this is ridiculous somebody's got to fix this. I have literally wasted so much of my time waiting in the drive-through at this ridiculous restaurant so don't be fooled when it says on the front sign new management. It doesn't make a hill of beans difference what management they have they are not ready to serve the public you will not get fed you will waste your entire lunch hour to where there's no time left to eat. I stopped in here on 7-3-19. They were out of this that and the other thing as I ordered. The hostess made decent suggestions on sub items. I made it to the fountain pop station and they were out of my soda as well. I felt defeated for a moment and decided this just isn't working today. I went back to the counter and requested a refund. The hostess Sheena already knew what was out and apologized again. She added they do still have some in the drive through machine and offered to fill me up from there. Sheena's customer service was so outstanding I decided to stay the course and eat my subbed meal anyway. I cannot do her justice with words alone. The food was decent, the service was outstanding. Sheena is the only reason I stayed and ate here and I'm thankful for her positive attitude. What a great employee this establishment has. Someone needs an attitude adjustment. Walked in and dined in. Flies everywhere. Andrew let us stand there for 5 minutes and then finally barked "dine in or takeout?" Flies everywhere. We gave him our order and he slammed our cups and tray down, snatched the money and thrust the change. Two other workers with him. No one else as customer. Flies everywhere. Food okay, but too much sauce on both sandwiches. As he walked by us on the way to the bathroom, he was mumbling about something being "f-cking bullsh-t". On 5/19 @6:21pm My husband and I drove up to the drive through to order. We were promptly told by staff " We are in the middle of shift change. If you want to order right now go somewhere els!" I just want to say Wendy's Night Crew are the rudest people I've ever met. Me and my friend showed up to order food at about 10pm (mind they close at 1am) and we sat for about 10 minutes without anyone to greet us at all. We then drove around to see if they might have closed early and we see 4 workers just watch us drive around. We went back to the drive through waited a couple minutes then a women RUDELY says "we'll be with you in a minute." just say that the first time. They weren't busy at all. They had no right to be that rude when we were nothing but nice to them. We said thank you when we got our food and she wouldn't even look at us or say you're welcome. I don't recommend going at night. I hope the manager can have a good talk with them. If you don't like your job don't take it out on the customers. read more

I love the food here. Not only are they cheap, but the staff in the front is very friendly. Great food for a great price. The soda machine inside also has a great selection of drinks :) I think the Wendy's here is also very common among town, since it is in a very convenient spot. read more

I ordered a sandwich and they placed two orders for me without giving the receipt right away. I had no way to tel if the order was corrected. The restroom was nasty gross. There were at least 20 flies in there on top of the urine smell. I sat there for dinner. No AC. Just a fan to circulate the air in the dinning area. read more

If you like your fast food slow, this is your place. As I arrived I was behind only two cars in line at the drive thru. After several minutes the first car finally received their food. After another 10 minutes I'm still waiting behind the 2nd car. At this point I backed out and went to Sonic. Got to Sonics, placed my order and received my food promptly...fast, even. I stopped at the drive through on the way to work. The dining room was closed and I was the only person in the drive through. After I ordered 3 sandwiches, I was asked to pull forward and wait.. After 15 minutes, and still being the only person at the "fast food" restaurant, I backed up and asked if they forgot I was out there. I was advised they were still cooking the eggs. 15 minutes to cook 3 eggs? At 20 minutes she walked out and handed me two bags. I arrived at work and gave my co-worker her sandwich, which seems to be warm and good. My sandwiches were cold, the sausage was burned and generally, they were not edible. I use to love to go to Wendy's. Since these guys remodeled their service has sucked. You will stand in line for an hour or more during non rush hour times. Everyone I've always expected slower service here for years, easy pickup on the way home but tonight took my patients over the top. First of all 2 spicy chicken sandwiches and a large fry does not take 32 min. So I asked when to expect my meal, answer was were working on it, 5 more minutes I was called but with no surprise NO FRIES. Another 5 min as I watched 20 orders of FRIES go out the drive thru window that's when I asked for my money back, but were sorry throwing fry into the bag with now cold chicken sandwiches and I said could you please remake the sandwiches because I have been watching them growing cold for 42 min now. Now my wife is calling asking me where is dinner honey I said I'm working on it. They told me no they would not remake the sandwiches because they were to busy so I asked for a refund they said no. I asked to speak to the manager (sarah) answers with vulgar language I'm in training here I CAN'T DISH OUT YOUR MONEY YOUR EMBARRASSING MY WORKERS. I asked again just give me my money I'll go somewhere else Sara said do it give him his money and LEAVE, AND DON'T EVER COME BACK. To slow to wait, got my money back (7+ minutes for a single SIMPLE combo order). When I complained to the manager (Brent) he told me Wendy's is not a fast food place and he didn't care that I waited or would leave a bad review. Perhaps the Montrose CO Wendy's would do better if they found a manager who actually cared what the stores customers felt or needed.
