Love this gem! Super friendly people and clearly a locals hangout. Love the beer and the ambiance! The red beer was particularly tasty and I wish I got to try the guava sour! There's a back patio with string lights, some shade, and a water mister to keep cool. Inside the bathroom there was a cool map of all the Colorado breweries, which was just a cool touch haha (I know, why would I even mention the bathrooms). The only downside was the food truck the day we went had pretty bland food but I don't hold this against the brewery! Overall definitely a must try if in the area! read more

Great brewery and location. Love the building and the history. We were flying out of Montrose, back to Texas, and decided to do our own little brewery tour. We did not have any food, but they do have food offerings. Husband really enjoyed the IPA. The parents of the owner, were the ones serving the beer and food. They are quite proud of their son, as they should be. But also extremely friendly. read more

It was literally romaine lettuce, store bought croutons and 1/2 a chicken breast. My other half got a burger. It looked pretty good, but it was significantly over cooked. The fries were floppy. Went here this past Saturday afternoon. We got there right when they opened so there were only 2 other people at the bar but it did get busier as we were there. We sat at the bar and had a few pints. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. They explained about all their beers. Their cream ales were really good. And I really liked their IPL. 2 Rascals has the best beers in town and the friendliest staff behind the bar. The location is cozy and comfortable -- totally the kind of place you want to hang out at. If you are looking for great beer from some great people, 2 Rascals is your place. We stopped in for a beer a few minutes before close and the owners stayed open and talked to us about the town, their story, and advice for hopeful brewers of the future. This place really has it all, except the customers! The place was empty when we were there, which the brewer said was common and we weren't surprised after having spent 2 nights in this town. This was a favorite on our honeymoon brew tour. The beer was great, the brewer was very informative and friendly. I wish I could find their beer somewhere closer to Golden, maybe it'll make it's way up here soon! This is a must for anyone traveling through or looking to visit a new brewery. We stopped here in the middle of a Sunday afternoon - so I can't really speak for the atmosphere (as it was pretty low-key when we where passing through) but we did hear they had live music some evenings. No food, but they let you bring in food from other places in town, and when we were there, they had a popcorn machine going for snacking purposes. Service was attentive, since we sat at the bar and there was only 1 or 2 other couples in there at the same time. Not sure if we're just not as "experienced" beer people as the other reviewers who loved the beer here - we definitely didn't get the same reaction. We sampled more than half of the beers they had on tap and nothing was outstanding (or even very good) to us. Maybe I'd give it another try on a live music night if I lived in town, but since we were just passing through, I'm not likely to make the effort to visit again. read more

I consider Two Rascals Brewery a diamond in the rough. This establishment has tremendous potential. I would have never have found the rustics historic building, that reminded me of a local hangout that is transforming, if it was not for a local friend introducing me to it. Two Rascals is a brew pub that is also a local distributor. The tap room had 8 beers on tap when I was there and I savored 7 of the 8. They were all of top quality. They do not generally serve food but normally have popcorn available. I heard they will allow you to bring in outside food or have food delivered. I was fortunate to frequent Two Rascals when they were having a Corn Hole Tournament. Several regulars participated in a potluck and Two Rascals Bar-B-Q'd bockwurst. It was a great time and my team the Long Beach All-stars placed 2nd. I am not sure of their plans but they have tremendous potential if they want to grow the establishment. The beer speaks for itself and has won some recent brewing awards. Offering food, in my opinion, would take it up a notch. Maybe more snacks like pretzels and/or peanuts. Maybe arrange menus from local restaurants that provide free delivery. Better yet start offering a few unique pub grubs that will be a signature offering to compliment their quality brews. In summary they have great brew, a friendly inviting staff, fun loving patrons, and plenty of potential. read more

Unique building and nice people. Popcorn is really good and fresh. Root beer and Beers were good (tried Amber and Cream) and loved the games available to play. Burgers were also good but fries were way over cooked. The special fries were not worth the extra price- tasted the same as the plain fries. read more

From the cool room, to the solid beer lineup, to the friendly brewer (and customer) I really dig this brewery! I think the Citra pale and the Brown were my fav samples but I definitely will have to get back to try the IPA(s) that they were out of. I walked out on to the deck outside and admired all the fresh hop vines hanging from the deck rafters and sniffed a very nice freshly picked floral hop cone. The customer I chatted with at the bar was taking home a bowlful for his next batch of home-brew that Daniel told him he was welcome too! Like I said, I dig this place! read more
