Fast food- it's all the same. The service though is what sets them apart and today the drive through service was AWFUL! The guy at the window was rude- he took my order and then didn't tell me to move up or even a total. I had to ASK for a receipt! Unfortunately, I didn't check our order until we were home. Went here on Tuesday July 16th 2024 with my parents for lunch on our newport Rhode Island Vacation. We walked in and needed a few minutes to decide what we wanted. Cashier helped us right away and was very nice. We ordered via dine in to sit down and eat our meals. we ordered 3 classic chicken sandwiches, the honey bbq chicken, and 1 medium triple berry frosty, and a chocolate frosty medium. We paid via credit card. The honey bbq chicken and frostys were ready fast. The chicken sandwiches took a while (like maybe 20 minutes?), and luckily we had the honey bbq chicken to eat while we waited. However, at least the chicken sandwiches were nice and hot when they were finally ready. 2021 I was working DoorDash. If I get 2 orders for Wendys I have to do them 1 at a time so I would need to rejoin the line each time! Despite the fact that they take forever and the manager almost punched me in the face one time after he cracked all his knuckles in my face like a fckin mc nugget.. they do make pretty bangin burgers. Visiting Newport, RI with the family when lunchtime rolls around and my young nieces stomachs are a'grumblin. Would young kids want to check out one of the several downtown lunch areas for a bite to eat? Nahh. . . They want Wendy's!!! So off to the closest one in Middletown, RI. Out of all the fast food places, I dislike Wendy's the least. Actually, I would even go as far to say that I like Wendy's. I say this because when coming here, I know I have legitimate options other than greasy burgers and gigantour sodas. I bought the usual Chicken BLT Salad which is decently sized and fills me up nicely. Has a large piece of warm breaded chicken topping the salad with your choice of several salad dressings. The interior of this Wendy's was pretty standard, except for the greenhouse type section where I ended up sitting. Curved ceiling/wall of windows which would have been great if it were actually sunny out. Thats okay though, I pretended. Watch out for the trick tables they seem to have lying around. First table we went to. . . the entire top surface of the table just fell right off its post. Had I not caught it right away we could have had a problem on our hands. All in all this is your average Wendy's. Sometimes I stop here for a chili on my lunch breaks. Lots of times service is quick and accurate. Other times the wait is unnecessarily long or key items have been left out (utensils, etc). So can be hit or miss at times. Inside service is much slower than drive thru. Since they remodeled a few years ago it looks really nice and modern. read more

Came to this location around 20:10. We waited in line, asked about vegetarian options (advertised online) to which they said they didn't have. We just ordered a order of fries for the vegetarian, as well as two full meals. This was our third fast food place trying to find food for the vegetarian. When we received our order, of course there was the two meals and no fries for the vegetarian even though that was the first thing we ordered. I will start out by saying I love me some Wendy's just as much as the next fat kid, but this particular location is a hot mess! The parking lot/drive-thru is a cluster **you know the rest** you are looking at a 15+ wait in the drive thru and the way the parking lot is set up, when the drive-thru is backed up, (and it always is) the cars parked to go inside will be trapped there, blocked by the drive-thru line until it clears out. It has to be the slowest drive thru I've ever been to despite seemingly always having tons of people on. Inside is a bit faster to get your food but then your car is blocked by the drivethru line. That being said, I've only come between 12-3 depending on when I take lunch, so I'm not sure if other times aren't as chaotic. But avoid it at lunchtime, definitely not worth the hassle! I gave the second star because staff is always polite so that counts for something I guess but the con's far outweigh the pros for quick lunch choices in Middletown. read more

The reason this place gets a 2 vice something higher for not screwing up my order was the fact this place is just dirty. I mean I wish the health inspector would go in and check it out dirty... Wife and I swung by to eat a quick lunch after a doctor's appointment at 3pm. There was a spill on the ground that was marked off by the only working ketchup dispenser which wasn't cleaned up while we where there. There were really no other customers but 4-5 people working. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, I could see where people stepped on fries into the carpet and they have molded themselves into the floor... The tables looked like they had greasy sheens to them and hadn't been wiped down at all... I have been to Wendy's where everything is really clean and I love it. This one seems to have a manager with 0 ability to do the basics... At 3pm with no customers, you would figure with a staff or 4-5, you would have someone start cleaning... I had to go to the bathroom, as soon as I walked in, I walked out... The signature sheet on the door said it had been cleaned, but this place was disgusting... I have been to road stops and rest areas with cleaner bathrooms... I'll probably just do drive through if I ever come back and avoid the interior... The food wasn't bad, but going inside, I feel like I need to take a shower now to get the dirty feeling off me from being here. This morning around 9 am I went to this Wendy's drive through for the 4 for $4.00 meal for breakfast. I got a Dr. Pepper, chicken nuggets, fries and a jr cheeseburger. My nuggets were slightly cold but hey, it's $4 bucks. ANYWAY, my real complaint is how Wendy's assembles their burgers in general. Square burger is great and all but they really need to rethink their onions. McDonald's at least cuts up their onions so you get a little onion in every bite but Wendy's keeps in a ring so the middle of the burger has no onion. Just something to think about. I visited Wendy's to get a vanilla frosty. I went to the drive-thru, and the attendant was very fast and efficient. There was a long line, but I was in and out in no time. I received my frosty with a spoon and not a straw. I did not realize that I had to ask for a straw for a shake. Anyway, all in all, the service was alright. read more
