    Triple Dipper

You know what you're gonna get here. The server was great, we came during happy hour and she brought the margaritas quickly. The triple dipper was of course great. Inside looks pretty much the same as every other Chilis. I don't understand why they're aren't food specials for Happy hour, corporate chilis needs to offer some sort of half priced apps or something for food specials during the Happy Hours.

So relieved to find a place for food open after 10pm on a Friday in Newport. Walk ins available and social distancing applied. I do wish there were more vegetarian fajitas or entree options. Great service and good prices.

You really have to get organized. So we had over an hour for lunch and being only 10 mins away with a specialized quick lunch menu meant this was the place. We actually arrived a couple of mins before they open so we scored being the first ones in. The hostess properly welcomed us and with her recommendation I signed up for their rewards card. Reminder me of BJ's in San Diego when I signed up there using the same tablet machine. You read that review right? Chili's first reward was chips and salsa for free. We all ordered quickly our drinks and waited for a few mins till our server returned. Then he had to go back because well he got our drink order wrong. No problem at that point because we finally figured out what we all wanted. I ordered the lunch break special bowl of clam chowder and half grilled chicken bacon avocado. One guy got the shrimp taco lunch special and the my other buddy got the chunky chicks bleu. Then came the wait. Not joking it took over 20 mins for our meal to come out. We had already "eaten" over 40 mins into our lunchtime. With no drink refills!!!! Finally the meal came and no one and I mean no one was impressed. I feel if my clam chowder came from a can it would taste better because there was no taste. Salt could not help. And speaking of help the sandwich could use some. The chicken was dry, I didn't like the bread, and I wish I asked for some mayo but our server never checked on us. Granted it look like he was the only server and the place started to fill up but it was like one and done when the food showed up. And I should have went to McDonalds for fries. Nice color just everyone's was under cooked and not seasoned. The other guys complained just as much as I did. The shrimp was over cooked and not seasoned very good according to my friend and the other buddy ate his messy falling apart chicken burger because according to him "I just want to eat and get out of here." Actually he used a few adjectives that I can't type here. So our server finally comes with the checks and somehow all the orders were wrong. It's not that he gave us the wrong checks, it's just somehow I got charged for a side order of a bowl of soup and full order of sandwich instead for the lunch combo. The other guy got charged for all our drinks and the last guy got charged for the free chips and salsa. THAT WE NEVER GOT!! Now comes the wait for the correct checks and we had to be back in class in 4 mins. 8 mins later the checks come back. Two of us are good and the other guy had his check wrong still?!?!? We all just pay cause we're late and we didn't want to wait another 10 mins. Overall one star cause I can't give zero. Now excuse me, we have to sneak into class. M

I visited this restaurant on Veteran's Day and it surprisingly was not crowded. The waitress was very attentive and the service was fast. I ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with Fries and it was delicious. The burger was fresh and hot and the fries as well. I will be returning to partake in the rest of menu choices.

This is what customers see when ordering online, I clicked off the sour cream and ancho-Chile ranch dressing.

We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

The place itself did not seem to care because nobody said anything to this table. It was a large group. I kept saying to myself if people come to my city and give it the reputation that we have of being snobby then I see why because this would never be allowed in a restaurant in my hometown. At any rate, this is the best lobster bisque I've ever had in my life. I really enjoyed it. I got the plate where it was stuffed. I thought it was just OK but I was just eating something I don't normally try.My partner got steak frites which he also really enjoyed. I love the way the vegetables were cooked. They were perfect not mushy and not underdone. Will definitely return here, if we come back to Newport. I just hope for better patrons.

It was great to eat in such a historic place. It felt like you are sitting in history, which you are! But I mean like making your own little mark. The food was fine. Not too much flavor, but I loved the addition of the prosciutto to the beef. The lobster bisque was just ok as well, tasted too much of just cream. The star of the dinner was the beef tartare, surprisingly. It was extremely flavorful, with all sorts of spices mixed into the beef, notably capers and cornichons. Delicious and served with amazing homemade potato chips. Service was good and dress code was more relaxed than I had imagined, so that was nice as well. Bread pudding and Tavern Candy Bar are delightful dessert options as well.

Very fresh and honestly, very affordable for the aesthetic, quality, and taste. Plus the service is great. She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

We started with the Caesar salad which was pretty good. We also ordered the bread and butter which was underwhelming for something so simple. For our main course, we had the bone-in ribeye steak. Unfortunately, the steak was chewy which was disappointing, especially for the price. The brown butter sauce was delicious and definitely helped. The restaurant itself is very cute inside. We were hoping to get seats at the bar so we could watch the chefs in action, but even though we ended up at a table, the atmosphere was still enjoyable.

We started off with drinks --gin dirty martini and a classic old fashion, both were perfectly made and crisp. Food: Appetizer-warm bread with butter was a nice starter. However I wish we got the escargot with bone marrow as we watched it being made it looked and smelled delicious. Entrees- we split a 27 oz ribeye and the scallops. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat, well marbled, cooked to perfection and seared so nicely. It was sooo tasty and seared with Malden salt. We are pretty snobby when it comes to steak and this was probably the best steak I've ever had out at a restaurant. The scallops similarly were cooked and seared perfectly and seasoned correctly. Laid on a bed of watercress and potato fondant it was the perfect delicate bite and contrasted nicely with the steak. We got the side of brussel sprouts with peanut Rayu which was a beautiful flavor bomb. I can't say enough about the food. Every single thing we ordered was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I find that to be a rarity in today's restaurant scene. I could not recommend this place more. We really enjoyed it and this will be used as a comparison to every restaurant I go to going forward. 6/5 stars! Come here
