This Wendy's location is a hot mess. Went in for a 50 cent frosty because the drive thru had a cardboard sign saying it was broken. Come to find out the lady at the register is the only one and noone knows how to do drivethru? One person in line in front of me and I still waited like 15 minutes. For a frosty. There wasn't any spoons either when it came time to grab a utensil and leave. Another customer near me commented that they'd been out for awhile. Top all that off with all the flys everywhere and I'd say corporate has their hands full with this location. read more

First off, let me clarify. This place now deserves a higher rank. It's awesome! Up until a few years ago, this place was absolutely dreadful. Awful in every way. However, it has changed drastically, and with new remodeling and probably new management, this place deserves at least 4 stars. Out of all the fast food in the area, this place is the absolute best. This location has gone downhill hard. They are quite possibly, the slowest "fast" food restaurant in existence. There is regularly a line to the door. They seem to have no system in place to fill orders in a way that makes any sense. The cashier is responsible for also filling the orders which seems add to the backup and confusion. They are almost always out of something (ketchup, straws, napkins, soda, etc). If you happen to go here, good luck to you. read more

I wish there was a zero star rating. First of all, the place is a disaster area. It looks like they haven't cleaned the place in months. Second of all, the workers are completely incompetent. They take forever to get your order out, and most of the time they screw up your order. Last time we went, they forgot one of the burgers. And we had to pay for it. We always have check our bag before we leave to make sure that the ordet is correct. One time I went up to the counter THREE different times to correct my order. Slowest "fast food" in the world! I usually stay away from fast food chains but when we visited Newport RI my 3 y/o insisted he wanted "chicken nunnets", and you know how stubborn these little ones can be. This was the closest place we could find. So we ordered chicken nuggets and some french fries. No biggy, we thought. 5 minutes and we're out. However, my husband waited for literally 20 minutes *after* placing the order while I was trying to entertain a hungry toddler waiting for his "chicken nunnets". The employees put the nuggets and the fries in the box one by one, apparently. And I thought the whole idea of "fast food" is that you get your food quickly. Silly me. read more

Went to Wendy's this afternoon. We went inside to order and as I was standing at the counter waiting for my chocolate frosty a nice cockroach was climbing up the far wall behind the register by the drink machines. Absolutely disgusting. We received our food, and as much as we didn't want to eat, we opened the burgers and they were both missing lettuce and tomato. They were also luke warm and fries were soggy. Very disappointed. We usually love Wendy's but this location needs a good cleaning and a new cook. read more

This place gets 2 stars because the quality of the food is still your standard Wendy's fare. However, everything else about the experience was subpar, even compared to other Wendy's and other fast food restaurants. The service was slow. Spicy chicken nuggets, which are a staple of Wendy's, were not even available. The soda fountain dispenser is one if the new ones that is supposed to allow you to choose from hundreds of combinations of sodas and flavors. It was out of every soda except for Coke, Coke Zero and Sprite. Standard basics like Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Hi-C, etc. were unavailable. When asked, the guy behind the counter, "hadn't gotten to it yet." The overall vibe given by the guy behind the counter was that he was either lackadaisical or just didn't want to be there. I feel that all issues I saw would easily be seen and corrected by a motivated and engaged manager. read more

Worst service possible ever!!! Ordered 3 meals and got 2. That's after pulling over and waiting 20 minutes. I tell the woman what we are missing when she brings or other meals and wait another 20 minutes before going in. The manager a complete idiot says we never ordered it. So basically they just let us wait in the parking lot!!! I said it was on the screen and YOU TOOK THE ORDER!! HE DOESN'T CARE and asks what I want to do. I said my husband deserves to eat do I will wait. No discount no apology at all. DO NOT GO HERE I saw chaos people worrying forever and inside they were confused and had no idea who ordered what. I am usually not one to complain but I feel that I need to tell you how displeased I am with the service at your location. I live in South County and frequent the Westerly location and have never had a problem at that location however I work here in Newport and can honestly say that 8 out of 10 times, upon arriving to work I discover my order is not correct. I just went there to get me some dinner before beginning my overnight shift. I ordered a sour cream and chive baked potato and a Ceaser side salad with Raspberry Vinegrette dressing. Upon getting to work and getting ready to eat my potato, lo and behold I have a potato with NO sour cream and one tiny little tub of margarine. Now you would think that when you order a sour cream and chive potato, you would get sour cream. So after throwing away the baked potato because I wasn't about to eat a plain potato, I reached for the salad I had ordered and once again was extremely disappointed as what should have been raspberry Vinegrette dressing was indeed Pomegranite and I do not like the Pomegranite dressing and being as how it is 1am and I am at work with no hope for having dressing for my salad, I thought I would give the Pomegranite dressing a try. As I began to dig into my salad I spotted a used discarded staple in it!! Needless to say, the salad joined the baked potato in the trash!! SO much for dinner at work tonight. I do realize that mishaps do occur but 8 times out of 10 in my opinion is unacceptable. I could even understand if it was during a busy time of the day that mistakes could happen, but at 1am in the morning when I am the only customer in the drive thru and barely anyone inside? I would think that your workers could get such a simple order correct. I regret that I may not be returning to your Wendy's and may have to consider a different Avenue to getting my late night meals, somewhere that actually strives to please their customers, which I really regret because Wendy's is really the only fast food I like. read more

I have been to many Wendy's in my lifetime, and generally they are clean with decent fast food. This does not apply here. The windows are your first clue: smeary and dirty. Service: I saw the sign for the Chinese Cashew Chicken salad, complete with ingredients and calories, and Jasmine at the register said they did not serve that salad there. Ok, what is on the Mediterranean salad (unfortunately, I did not bring my glasses)? "I don't know." A helpful colleague tried to show her how to access the ingredients on her terminal, but all that yielded was complaining and lack of effort. Could I please have a cup of chili? $2.04, please, practically breathing down my neck for the four cents I was extricating from my wallet. No one was behind me waiting. My chili was fine, though I ate it at a broken table which I managed to right before I spilled the chili in my lap. My experience was beginning to be in the rear view mirror until I went to toss my garbage. The bin was stuffed full to overflowing, so patrons started stacking their full trays on top.
