This is one of two locations within Middletown, with this being on West Main and the other on East Main. I recently tried their mobile order system but had some issues with it. After I placed the order it said I can either go to the drive thru, pick up in store, or pull into designated parking spots to check in on the app. I pulled up but the cashier was confused when I said mobile order pickup. The order was also not ready yet although I ordered ten minutes ago, so I had to park on the side while waiting for them to prepare it. It was in around 4 and made an order, it was around $24. My Oder was given to another customer/ employee not sure but she knew a bunch of the employees and the manger. She came back with my order and gave it to the manger, she looked at it said it was mine and handed it to and employe. The employe took the order grabbed maybe new fry's (they were cold) and handed the bag to me. None of the food was remade even after leaving the store for a bit. I was also missing a double which they made me 2 I didn't ask for. I threw the food away cause I didn't trust it. Fast food now is kind of a joke. The word "fast" is outdated, Drive though takes some time. I like to go in so my order does not get messed up. They insist you use the kiosk. We came here for a late night meal as it was really the only thing open around the area. We ordered online and waited a few minutes when we got there, but no big deal for us. The food was your normal good McDonald's and the order was correct, which is all you need. It is a little annoying that they charge extra for the sweet ice tea when ordering the $6 McDouble meal. read more

This location is on my way to work and everytime I come here I order a large hot coffee extra extra and get a black coffee no sugar. Usually I have driven away by the time I notice but the one time I noticed it right away, I get a big fat attitude when I ask them to fix it. Horrible service. The manager was sympathetic but someone needs to get fired, the chef's need to ensure they're providing a quality product. I will never go back to this McDonalds due to loss of trust. They messed up my order, I returned gave them back the item that was mistakenly placed in my bad and waited a few minutes for the actual item ordered. I wasn't in a bad mood as I understand that we're all human and mistakes happen. When I received the item, I noticed that it was a bit harder than normal. Pulled away from the window and checked the item while in the parking lot. The item was cold and not fully warmed up. Was this on purpose because I asked the the item that was on my receipt and I had ordered. Totally unacceptable! I took the item back in the store and requested to speak to the manager. Every so often you just have to get a burger, I was kinda dissatisfied with the quarter pounder with cheese supposedly with fresh beef cooked to order. But they had an international menu I had to try, the Grand McExtreme, it looks delicious in the picture but alas it's no In and Out Burger or Five Guys. We have lived here for about a year now and I have to say this McDonald's has been given more tries then it deserves and continues to disappoint. Between the food that rarely comes out hot, the negative attitudes and moody faces - it is not worth your stop here unless you want to be miserable or pissed off before or after you get home. Just keeping it real. I swear when you ask for your military discount (if it applies to you) it's like your really putting them out. With the heavy sigh or they actually state how annoying it is to put it in. I've had much better luck with the other Middletown McDonald's around the corner per the nice employees and better food. I need to make an effort to visit there more often. McDonald's employees at this particular location: Get a new job that you enjoy so you can not be constantly miserable working where you are now. Had McDonald's app so thought I get a deal. BOGO Quarter Pounder with Cheese. First shocker was a Quarter Pounder now coasts $6.29 and almost $7 with tax. Second shocker was the bottom bun on each sandwich was hard and the beef looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The cheese was a combination of warm and cold hard. It was 12:45p, so in the middle of lunchtime. Almost like they prepare for lunch by pre-cooking everything at 9 or 10am. Except this food tasted older than 3 hours. Horrible. read more

I just got off a long shift around 9:25 ish where I work and came over for some food - the worker who took my order and handled the transaction was awesome! Came here at 7 Pm 10/8/2015. The cashier was a young girl. She was unbelievably rude. She seriously didn't say a word to me. She didn't tell me how much the order came out to. She held out her hand while not even looking at me waiting for me to give her the money. She then handed me my food, still not looking at me and walked away without even giving me my full order. This is the worst McDonald's. The shake machine is always down. They are always getting orders wrong. On multiple occasions they have given us over cooked fries. Tonight my husband brought me an apple pie. It looks like it was made a few days ago, is all dried out and hard as a rock. Conveniently the sell by time has been torn off. This has got to be the slowest Mcdonald's I've ever been to. Not once has their service been "fast". Today I ordered scrambled eggs. That's it. Just eggs. TEN minutes later I'm still waiting for them and finally just walked inside to see what the heck was taking so long (after ordering them in the drive-thru, mind you). This place has been remodeled in and out and was much needed. Unfortunately they didn't make over the staff and their attitudes. I have visited this location twice in the past two weeks. Once inside and today, the drive thru. The staff service is horrible. Inside I was the only one waiting at the counter to be waited on and it took them at least 3-4 minutes to notice me (6'5" 300lbs). Once I was waited on, I returned to the counter to ask for ketchup....I was noticed by a cashier, she came to the counter and ignored me, grabbed something and went out of sight. The drive thru today was another horrible experience. The person taking the order had zero person skills. Her greeting was "What's your order", we gave it to her and was told "last window", no thank you or please pull around. Once we got to the window she told us our total, we gave her cash, she handed back the change, food and once again, no "thank you" or show of appreciation from the company. We said thanks and she said "you're welcome". This seems to have become the norm at this location. Zero customer service or people skills. The young lady working the drive-thru window had one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen. She told me they had charged me for a drink I didn't order, and I told her I didn't want it, so she tossed it aside without even asking me any other questions. Took about10 minutes before I received the rest of my order, but she didn't even say that they would take the charge out. I asked for the receipt, but she just stared at me with a smirk. I asked again, if the receipt was in the bag, and she just nodded. No apology for the drink, no expression of caring. I said "what's with the attitude?" She just smiled. We try not to eat fast food often but having just moved from out of town, we find ourselves unpacking and forgetting to take something out for dinner. Since this spot was closest, we figure why not it shouldn't hurt. We were wrong. My wife went to piccolo up dinner, and I find out the guy who gave her the food argued with her about food being in there. It was not. He got an attitude with my wife about the situation. She came home and I figured that was the worst of it. I took a bite out of my quarter pounder only to find a someone's long hair in my burger...neither my wife's nor my hair is that long. Cleanliness and service was on point. Very kind employees and the bathroom was in good condition. I ordered the Lobster Roll with house fries and a lemon lime soda. My experience today was terrible. The level of customer service was completely unacceptable. The gentlemen to my right frequents this store and he is a disabled gentlemen. He takes some time getting his money out to pay for his morning breakfast. To the displeasure of your employee, she said, "I'm not waiting 20 minutes for you to get your money ready. You need to have it ready." It would seem this type of outward attitude sends a message contrary to your PR campaigns promoting your organization as carrying, thoughtful and patient. I am a frequent customer at this location and every time I've been in there the staff talk down to the other employees and humiliate them no matter how many customers are waiting to be served their food. Something needs to be done or the restaurant will lose their regular customers.
