It tasted like cleaner sanitizer and they gave my order to the person in front of me in front of me and then they got the order back from him and brought it right to me after giving it to someone else. And having to stop them in the parking lot. The sandwich was so soggy and very small worse than a McChicken. Biggest waste of $15 I've ever spent. Wendy's is fully tripping. The sandwitch is not worth 8$ alone either and the your paying another 7 dollars for a few fries and a water down fountain drink. Throwing in the towel for fast food. Anyhow, I ordered the number seven and my wife ordered the number 10. I had to repeat myself in English and in Spanish about adding three, yes, three slices of cheese more than four times. How hard is it to put three slices of cheese on a sandwich? Aside from that, everything was fine...shit no it's not fine, the cost of the order was $20.64 and I gave them $20.65. After a long day roadtripping I was hungry, and fast food would do as I was tired too. Finally getting back to the area three fast food chains sat in a row and I picked the lesser of the three evils. There are lots of good food options on the OBX, so we don't frequent many of the fast food restaurants when we're visiting. But every now and then a late night craving for a JBC wins out and we hit up this Wendy's. This last visit was not so great, and I have to say that in general, the fast food restaurants in the OBX definitely do not stack up to the standards held by those chains in other, non-tourist areas of the country. So first of all, the wait was ridiculous. We went like I said for a late-night burger craving. I went through the drive through at about10:15 p.m., ordered eight sandwiches and nothing else, and it took almost 10 minutes to get my food. It was not busy... there were just a handful of people there. And I really do not understand why it possibly would have taken that long to make eight sandwiches. Perhaps they were understaffed, but 10 minutes is pretty ridiculous for any fast food drive through. In addition, several of the sandwiches were not even really very hot (the cheese did not melt, so I doubt they were ever hot enough). And, pet peeve, I was not given a receipt or asked whether I wanted one. In all very poor form and not so fast "fast food." read more

After being ignored by McDonald's right next door we went to Wendy's and our service was great, workers were nice and polite and our order was right from top to bottom. Wendy's food has always been a notch better than other mainstream fast food places. This particular Wendy's is no exception - the food is fine. Just make sure to keep an eye on their menu price discrepancies. I've noticed that several menu items are priced 20 to 30 cents below what you are actually charged. And if you bring it to the attention of the cashier it becomes something of an ordeal to get the menu price. The same manager shows the same amount of surprise each time. I think it's all intentional. I'm writing this because it has been going on for well over a year. Take heed: Read your receipt and make sure to tell them that their menu prices are wrong - and ~always~ in their favor. Over the course of a busy summer day all those extra dimes must really add up. I just went through the Wendy's drive thru and had unexceptionally bad service. Not only did I wait almost 15 minutes in the drive thru for a chicken sandwich and Caesar salad, when they came out (I had to pull up to wait) they told me they made the wrong sandwich and that's why it took so long. When they finally did bring the food, I was short of a medium fry. We pulled around and parked and my boyfriend went inside to explain the situation and ask for the fry we were shorted. When he returned to the car he said they weren't even busy and the employees were standing around in the back eating salad!! No wonder every time I go there and place my order they tell me they are out of full sized salads!! ***Oh my, I just sat down to eat the fries and they are totally inedible due to being overly salted. I wish I could rate this no stars, but unfortunately the option is unavailable. Where to begin??: 1. No changing tables for infants/children in either the male or female bathrooms. 2. Single stall bathrooms for both men and women make a simple stop-and-go potty break take forever. 3. Bathrooms are small and have no where to put belongings like purse or diaper bag (for that diaper change that isn't going to happen) anywhere so everything goes on the floor 4. Slow staff. Enough said. 5. AC unit is horrible and the building becomes a sauna with all the people in it. Will not go back and plan on writing Wendy's as well to voice issues with lack of accommodating facilities for something as simple as a changing table in one or both restrooms. read more
