Let me just say something here, I have been a Wendy's Customer for 45+ Years and when I pull into the drive through window I know what I want to order. Don't Interrupt me! I will say everything you need to hear! When you interrupt me I don't get the things I want or get things I don't want, and it pisses me off to no end! I want a #1 Single Cheeseburger, No Mayo, No Mustard, (Unsaid: Ketchup, Tomato, Pickles, Onion, & Lettuce) Medium Combo, Coke Light Ice. Simple! 1st interruption is before I say Single! 2nd interruption is before I say cheese which I answer and they want to jump ahead into combo and drink. I have to make an effort to get the No Mayo No mustard which I find disgusting on a burger. Recently as I said No Mustard they tried adding it I was interrupted and told mustard doesn't come on a sandwich so I didn't need to say no mustard. My last visit I managed to say No Mayo and somehow Mustard was on my sandwich. Which is it! If I get it again, I'm not eating it, and have to come back around I'll be pissed! Oh yea! And after all the interruptions and pushed through ordering I didn't manage to say light ice for the final insult to my intelligence and bought another damn cup of ice with a couple of mouthfuls of soda that didn't make it through my eating the fries... If I have to come back around pissed off to correct my order it will be the last time I visit Wendy's! I live in Clinton so Mooya Burgers at exit 57 in Guilford is one viable option as well as 5 Guys & Wayback Burgers at exit 66 in Old Saybrook, besides they seem to have more choices of toppings anyway, Which will be my choice for best burger seeing as Wendy's is in doubt now... And Oh Yea you have a drive up window which kinda promotes grabbing a quick bite to eat in the car... How about Trash Cans in the parking lot to cut down on litter in your area of Rt 1 in Guilford? Hello Dear Manager: Just to let you know that in the past and current year I've been a regular Wendy's customer. I noticed lately that; services are going down instead of doing better. Last night when I stopped by to get my meal, the person who attended drive through showed a nasty attitude; I requested and emphasized her that I want my food hot; I believe she retaliated against to me and served me one more time a cold sandwich (not the first time, many other times it happened), when I got back into the store to requested a hot sandwich, this girl Marissa they called her, shows me a bad attitude and spoke in a different language something. Walked in at 10:24 A.M. Looked at the menu and didn't see any breakfast items. When I asked the woman if they were still serving breakfast, because you know, its 10:24 in the morning, she simply stared at me. So I asked again, but much slower. She offered only a one word response .."brehfs?"Which I think means breakfast in my native tongue. When I nodded yes she said "No, brehfs over". I politely, but perhaps somewhat sarcastically responded that is was only 10:30. She did ask if I wanted lunch which I declined because as I've stated it was only 10:30, and I try not to eat chili, burger or fries at that time. The food tasted like in every other fast-food - no surprise there but the staff deserve an additional star. Worst food ever, the fries had so much salt enough to kill an elephant, the burger was so trash, they try to give me a dollar burger as one of their premium burgers. When I complained, they laughed with a smerky smile, and prepared the food behind a column and gave it to me in the wrong packaging. They ruin my experience, they are super racist and wendys should investigate them and possibly fine them. Worst fries ever, the only thing it was ok was the coffee because I had to prepare the coffee myself. The staff was sitting doing nothing and the food should have been excellent because of the lack of business. There food safety standards are so low that they deserve a visit from the department of health, i threw out the whole meal out and wasted my money. We stopped for lunch on our way back from a trip in this little town I had never heard of. I am not a fan of fast food at all however, I have to say, the best fast food I've ever eaten was from Wendy's. I enjoy their salads, as well as their spicy chicken sandwiches. This particular Wendy's the absolutely the best I have ever been in. It was immaculate, the staff was personable & friendly, & it was very tastefully decorated for the fall. I was happy to sit & enjoy my lunch in a place this nice. Kudos to the staff & management at this place. You definitely brought a fast food restaurant up a notch in my book. read more

I go to this Wendy's once every couple of weeks and every single time I go I'm shocked by how nice the employees are. Every single time I leave thinking 'what a great experience.' Okay, let me preface this by saying, it's fast food. I don't have super high expectations. I want to place my order and have it completed in a reasonable amount of time. If the food items are more or less what I ordered then I'm cool. On numerous occasions now even these standards seem unattainable. I have to physically unwrap sandwiches because they will be no where close to what I ordered, (ex. Burger instead of chicken etc.). I have waited in excess of 20 minutes for my food, mind you these aren't even special orders just regular straight up items. One night I had to call the restaurant from the drive thru oder box when it got to be 12 minutes and no one had even greeted me. The supervisor was nice enough and offered me a frosty but I didn't want free items, I fully expected to pay for my food. There are only 2 fast food joints in Guilford, Wendy's and McDonald's. Do yourself a favor, go to mickey d's. The menu may not be as good but you can get what you want before the end of time. Clearly there are ongoing training and staffing issues that need to be addressed. read more

I originally wrote a review for this location that said they were the slowest fast food restaurant location anywhere...period..but that the orders were always correct. Well, they're still just as slow, but out the past 10+ times I have ordered here, the food has been correct twice. That's right, I'm not exaggerating, at least 8 times the food has been wrong, usually very much so. Drive thru or inside, it doesn't matter. The staff are all friendly enough, but it always seems like nobody know what is going on, and they always seem to have a bunch of crises in the kitchen where they're missing things or can't figure out whose order is whose, or what is supposed to go where. Someone from corporate really needs to re-train the staff, because it doesn't seem like a lack of effort, it's clearly a lack of training and knowledge. read more

I have never had a problem with the food at this location, but they are SOOOOO SLOW. Expect a minimum 10 minute drive thru experience at non-busy times. Also, they use the trick of telling you to wait at the speaker for 5+ minutes before taking your order, because I'm pretty sure their system tracks the time between ordering and payment, and if they let you order right away corporate would figure out how poorly managed this location is. That said, it's still at least 5 mins between order and food pickup. read more

Terrible customer service. I told the employee at the drive thru my French fries were freezing cold and she looks at me, with the biggest attitude, and says "what do you want me to do about it?". Her name tag said Sophie. She also told me the fries were just made. That's a huge lie because if they were, they would've been hot and not freezing cold. Don't lie to a customer. I would have never left a bad review but about a month ago, I made a mobile order for pick up at Wendy's. I ordered a few things but will mention what was wrong; a salad w/ the standard dressing it came with and two strawberries cups. Upon coming to the drive through window, the girl working told me they only had one strawberry and could she replace the second with apple. Knowing that the price difference was NOT the same, and that the strawberries were more expensive- I understood and said sure. Drove away and when I opened the fruit to give to my kids- the apples were rotten and covered in mold! When I went to eat the salad, the dressing was not the dressing that came with the salad I ordered. Again, people make mistakes so I contacted customer service and they said they would send the claim to the manager and I would hear from them. And I never heard anything back. So not only do they mess your order up, serve you rotten food, but then they don't do anything to make it better. read more

It is now one of the cleanest Wendy's stores we've ever been in. I hardly ever eat in fast food restaurants but we stopped here on a road trip and it was the perfect stop for parents with 2 toddlers. The staff was so nice, the food was tasty (I can't eat gluten and usually get stuck with terrible food in fast food restaurants, but the fresh mozzarella and chicken salad with pesto was surprisingly fresh and good), and the place was bright and clean.
