Went to pick up a mobile order for a footlong steak and cheese on flatbread. I grabbed the order and it was clearly not a footlong. Asked them to correct it and they said it is a footlong just rolled differently. I asked why they wouldn't make it the same way, they just shrugged. I got in my car, my footlong flatbread with 50% extra meat had less than a regular footlong worth of meat in it and it was rolled long way like a pita. Subway has the $6.99 foot long deal that is optional to each franchise. The first time I ordered I got half the meat I should have gotten on my sandwich. Today the owner berated me when I picked up my sub using the same deal because I didn't tip online. He tries to guilt trip me, saying that he's losing money on this order. The sandwich was fine but they run a scam on you. The posted price is NOT what they rang up. The big board said my sandwich -a 6" sub" was $6.49 and they charged $6.99. When I called them on it they became very argumentative. They said they meant to change the price but forgot, that it was only 50cents difference. I said if it's only 50cents give me my money, state law says you have to charge the posted price. If you don't want to just take the sandwich back and give me all of my money. Well after more back and forth they finally gave me the 50 cents but didn't refund the tax on the new correct price. Message to Subway customer care got zero response. Go to McDonald's or DUNKIN OR somewhere else where they charge posted price. Even Stop and Shop has a policy that will give you the item FREE if the computer over charges read more

This is one of the better subways on the shoreline. Not that many subways over here are very good. But this one is different. The service is on point. With the workers being very polite. Food is always a hit. With it having a beautiful taste. As the building itself is where it lacks a little bit. With it having some miss painting jobs, and a couple of dents in the walls. Let me start by saying that I always hated subway because I felt they would rip you off on the portions. I remember paying $5 for a slice of cheese, three strands of lettuce and a sliver of tomato at the UConn campus subway. After repeat performances at many of the franchises I wrote off these stores forever. BUT after Subway brought us some sandwiches for some event, I was pleasantly surprised and I decided to go again. The prices in the Clinton store seem reasonable, the service friendly and the portions are generous. I am definitely a fan again!!! read more
