This place made me rethink my fast food burger needs. No longer can I run to McD"s or Burger King for my quick burger fix. Although I do still miss the White Castle on East Tremont Ave. in the Bronx, I can only eat the obviously higher quality product you get at this chain. I've eaten at this location many times and the food always tastes fresher and more flavorful than the other fast food choices on the shoreline. A Five Guys was right down the street, so we said "Why not?" and stepped in. First - it reminded me of one of the old hamburger stands that used to be in the town in which I grew up. Right away, I felt comfortable and knew what I was going to get. Sure enough, the bacon cheeseburger "all the way" took me back to my misspent youth. I savored every juicy bite. The high-tech soda machines were the main attraction. I could have spent the rest of the afternoon trying to create my own flavor combinations, but my burger was ready and I wanted to eat it while it was hot. We decided against fries - we just wanted to put something in our stomachs, and we had an hour ride ahead of us. Fries would have filled us up and not left room for dinner I spent the previous day preparing. Maybe another time we'll try them. As a side note, this outlet was very clean and bright. My husband and I love five guys and go often. We've been to many locations but this is so far my favorite. We go out of our way to make sure we eat at this one. They are super clean, like someone is always sweeping and wiping. This is the main reason I like this one, I've been to many others and there were always peanuts and trash on the floor, trash piling out of bins and tables uncleaned. Always turned me off from the place. There staff is amazing. They're so happy and friendly and open. They never shy away and always greet you and say farewell when you leave. The Tuesday crew is my favorite. The food, of course, is great. Made to order, fries always fresh and hot and burgers juicy and filling. As long as it stays this way, we will be continuing our weekly burger trip. read more

A double burger, small fry and a chocolate milk shake cane to $19.11. (Compared to around $8.00 for the same thing at Inn n Out). Beside being a horrifyingly bad value the food wasn't that great either. The burger had good flavor, but really wasn't anything special, the fries were too salty and for over $5.00 the shake was small and not made with real ice cream. Went there a couple of nights ago. Placed my order, asked about how long it will be so I could run across the street for a quick errand. The errand took a little bit longer than I expected, and when I got back to pick up my order, the fries were getting a bit long in the tooth. So I asked if they could reheat them for me. First time going here and it was absolutely terrible! I went with my boyfriend and we each got a cheeseburger with fries. The cheese wasn't even melted on our burgers and our fries were so soggy that it was a disappointment. Way too much salt on them too as well as the cajun spice that they put on them (even though I asked them not to put it on). Highlight of our visit was the lady who got her burger but there was no burger, just the bun with cheese and lettuce. Ha! How do you mess that up? This is the first time I have ever had one of their burgers. I've got to say it is one of the best I ever had! For a well done burger it was so juicy. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger "all the way." We also got a regular size drink. They handed us our cups and we checked out our options at the soda "machine." It was touch screen.
